Wang Yibo prepared some of his reviewer before and even checked online what are the good supplemental books to buy for his lover's university entrance exam.
They also talked about Xiao Zhan resigning from his work to focus on studying.
At first, Xiao Zhan was of course reluctant to do it since he's not use to having no work at all. But then when he saw Wang Yibo's preparation and effort, he decided to agree without so much thought of it.
When he (xz) came to his work place after agreeing with his lover, he formally present his resignation and told his manager the reason. Though he resigned from his job, he knows for a fact that he still needs to render at least 15-30 days of working before he can officially stop going to work.
Wang Yibo helped him a lot (xz) in reviewing these days. Xiao Zhan was glad that even though it's been many years for him since he stopped studying, he can still remember most of it.
Days passed by so quickly and Xiao Zhan ended his rendered days of working.
There are times when Wang Yibo brought him to the company and unlike before, the people working there were not so curious anymore about him. Though they did not know that he is Wang Yibo's lover, they all thought that he was part of the Wang Family.
While reviewing at home, Xiao Zhan received a call from Chairman Wang.
"Xiao Zhan, come to the villa this coming weekend and bring Yibo with you..." Chairman Wang said and coughed. "Visiting your elders is very important. Tell that to my son who always said no."
Though Chairman Wang is still in the process of accepting him (xz) for his son, Xiao Zhan knows that it will come in the future.
Xiao Zhan smiled and politely answered, "Okay, Uncle. I will tell Yibo about it."
"En.. Good." Chairman Wang said then cut off the call.
When Wang Yibo and him (xz) were eating their dinner, Xiao Zhan informed his lover about it.
"I rejected dad's invitation earlier in the company." Wang Yibo said and smiled. "But since already agreed to dad, of course we will go."
Xiao Zhan looked at Wang Yibo and wondered why he (yb) was so cold to his parents.
"Ge?" Wang Yibo uttered when he saw his Zhan Ge with a curious look.
Xiao Zhan shook his head and stopped himself from asking his lover.
"It's nothing..." He (xz) answered.
When it's time for them to go to bed, Wang Yibo embraced Xiao Zhan and opened up to him (xz).
"Ge, are you curious why I am so cold to my parents?" Wang Yibo started the conversation.
Xiao Zhan embraced him back and answered, "En... But if you're not ready to tell me about it, it's fine... You don't have to force yourself, didi.."
"Ge, it's not that I'm not ready... It's just that I thought it's not really important... But I can tell you everything, ge..."
Xiao Zhan warmly rubbed his lovers back and lean his (xz) head on Wang Yibo's chest.
"When I was a kid until I grew up, I rarely see them. I was not raised by them but instead by the people they hired to take care of me. When I'm sick and sad and even in the important moments of my life before, they're not even there. I'm just glad that my grandpa always there for me and guide me. But when he died, I was left alone again. I know I am childish, acting so cold to them, but ge... every child wanted to be with their parents when growing up..."
Xiao Zhan listened and can really feel the grievance and complaints in his (yb) voice.
"I know they worked so hard for the family and they did that to pave the way towards my good future... But every time I think about it, I felt angry. Even if they didn't stay with me before, I still wanted to know what were the things they like and what were the things that can make them happy... Honestly, when I saw some of my classmates and other kids being closed with their parents, I am really jealous.. But then along the way, I get to used and started not to care with it. Since they did not really care about me, I became so cold to them and even being cold to everyone..." Wang Yibo continued.
For Xiao Zhan, what Wang Yibo became is not childishness. Though he was given everything, but without an affection coming from his (yb) parents, it's really natural for him to be so cold.
Xiao Zhan understands him the most. Though he was loved by his grandma, there were times before that he thought that it would be wonderful to have his parents beside him when growing up, specially when he saw other kids being pampered by their mom and dad.
"It must been hard on you.." Xiao Zhan comforted him and then asked, "Didi, d-do you hate uncle and auntie?"
"When I was a teenager during my rebellious stage, I really hate them. But when I decided to lived independently, I stopped hating them. I also realized that they are doing all the hard work just to have their son a good future. It's just that since I am not so close to them, I can't really give them any warm affections at all..." Wang Yibo answered honestly.
"But then in the future, do you still want to be cold to them? I k-know I have no right to say this specially I did not experienced what you have been through, but your parents are not getting any younger... I can see how much they longed for you..." Xiao Zhan said what on his mind.
"Ge, you have all the right to say things to me... When I was lonely, you came to me and you warmed me..." Wang Yibo said and then kissed his forehead... "After being loved by you, there were times that I also wanted to be closed to them specially right now that I can see that they're reaching out to me.... they're reaching out to you..."
Xiao Zhan nodded, "It's good to know that you're thinking about it... Don't force yourself too much. Little by little, it will be okay, Didi..."
Everything will have it's time. With the two of them, it will be okay...
