As I slowly opened my eyes opened my I eyes to a blindingly bright light above and blinking a couple time, I slowly got up and looked around I saw an avian lady with with teal colored wings and wearing a white nurses dress holding  a sheet of paper

(Avian Lady)-"Oh, your awake" She said as she looked at me and then got up from her chair and came to the side of the bed I was laying on.

(Avian Lady)-"so Raphael, you must be wandering where you are and who I am, right?" she sad as I answered with a slight nod

(Avian Lady)-"Ok, my name is Angela and this is the med bay, So lets get to business. Jim left you here in my care and told me to 'take care' of you, buuuuut I don't wanna do that so here's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna leave you in a training room and your gonna stay their until he come's okay?" She said in a tone that implied that no was not an option so I just nodded and went along with the flow. After that she  just smiled and then suddenly said "Ohh right I forgot to say you not try anything physical related alright" after that I got up off the bed and was lead to a different portal from before as this one was somewhat farther out 

After bringing me inside she told me not to leave and just left. Seeing as I have the time I'll try to fuse elements, but how? I didn't know how, so I could do nothing

After thinking for a while, I just walked around thinking how to do it and and after pondering for a while I decided to think back to the basics of magic, mana. Mana was he thing used by every profession related to battle and even some non-battle professions like blacksmiths.  To use it was simple all you need to do was control and command it and while it was differently used between most professions the two main ways were to use your mana to command the mana outside your body and tell it the exact commands and using mana to strengthening the body of the user or weapons that the user was holding

Examples of these were warriors and mages, Though this is different from elementalists who send their mana to spirits for them to fight for them and enchanters who use magic runes to enchant weapons those are more vastly used

Well, any way what I was thinking was that I made the mana for two different attributes and fuse them if that made any sense. so lest try that

And how do we do that you may ask that with your oh so puny brain, well I gonna forcefully command the mana to mix while continuously adding in more mana and with the game plan explained lets get started

Wait wait wait what attributes am I gonna use, I think they have to be compatible so what? How about darkness and fire? yeah lest do that and with that I began, first I sat in a cross legged on the ground and then forced the mana used for fire out and then the mana for darkness then slowly mixed them together and fused them 

As they were fusing the color started to mix and change from a black and red color to a crimson red-ish black color as I continued adding large amounts of mana before shining brightly in that color 

After a a bit and the shining went down I got a2  system messages

Well that is cool, should I test it? Yeah I should test and with that I fired it off to which it caused a massive bright explosion

Cool and with that I did it with water, poison, ice, null and lightning and some more mixing with fire and darkness and while some didn't do anything but explode, I did get some new attributes, which were dark ice, solid poison, black lightning, blue fire and more thing I got when I added everything together multiple elemental null which sounds confusing and is confusing since it was literally adding elements to regular null spells and after a while of toying around Jim came and we left
