Chapter 21 expected in December

Some time before the dragon egg hatched.

"Anyone seen my bow?" Rina Wenswood said, her voice echoed through the two-story wooden house. At that moment Marc Omal walked by her room with a sandwich in hand so he took a peak in out of concern.

"Isn't it always in you two's room? Could be Mei agai- WOAH! OH LORD I'M SO SORRY, SO SORRY."

What was shown in front of him was something unholy, the sight of a fully naked elven woman putting on her gloves. But like, who does that? Gloves before pants and shirt? Either way, Marc started praying instantly because of the sin he had committed. Meanwhile unamused, Rina continued on with her business.

"Ease up, captain. I forgot to lock the door. Besides, Mei's straight, you're religious and Pearl's definitely, probably, could be, persumably is gay or impotent......... Oooh, I could lead an investigate on that."

"Alright... Do what you want, I am going to go ahead and close this door for you... There goes, so let's assume it's Mei who took it, I just heard her downstairs, do you want me to go check?"

"Nah, it's fine, I can figure out exactly what she's about to do with my bow anyways."

Meanwhile, it the kitchen downstairs.

"Freeze, criminal, you're arrested for not saying good morning to your sister!"

Mei Magmal appeared out of nowhere with Rina's bow; now a wooden stick pointing at Pearl's back like a lethal weapon. In which Pearl sighed, but actually played along raising his hands up in the air in a surrender fashion before muttering something back to Mei:

"e...t....S..l..."

"Huh? Did you say something?" Mei said while lowering her staff to take a step closer.

"Flour Flash." Pearl whispered, reaching his hand over the nearby table and threw flour towards Mei's direction, temporily blinding her.

"cough...WAH! Why was there flou-"

Before Mei could finish the sentence, Pearl's longer legs got behind her knees and he tripped her to fell backwards.

"Elemental Spell: Whirlwind."

Mei was still stunned and almost fell to the wooden ground head first, but Pearl used air magic to cushion her and push her upper body upwards to standing again, only to be face-slammed into a cupboard he then opened which made her took a step back in a daze, barely two step was enough for Mei to regain full conscious and retaliate by casting a spell.

"Elemental Spell: Icicle Sh- UFHM!? Ot Air (not fair)!!!"

Before anything happened, Pearl quickly shoved raw dough into her mouth to shut it down. He took this moment of surprise to quickly pat her on the head a few times with a slight smile that no one saw and he brushed off immediately. Mei got a window of time to wipe the flour off her eyes and thrust the staff towards Pearl; worried not of missing in this narrow kitchen. But instead, he tanked it straight to the chest to grab Mei's hand, that was when the wood from the floor rises up and secure itself tight around her wrist.

"I would assume you'd want pancakes for breakfast, too?" Pearl asked nonchalantly, looking at the incapacitated Mei who was trying to undo the magic with the other hand.

"This is not fair! I was taken by surprise, try to fight me in open ground, pagehead!" Mei exclaimed in return.

"That's a no then, how about you, Marc?"

Pearl did not need to look when he said that, and the swordsman of the team who was in hiding and watching everything unfolds finally stepped out.

"I'm good on that... Do you need help, Mei?" Marc answered.

"It's fine... I can... Urg, I probably can get this off! What kind of wood was our house built with? Enchanted mithril!? I'm burning my mana just getting out of this."

Before Pearl or Marc could add anything in, Rina entered the room, carelessly took the staff back from Mei's hand and poured herself some milk as if not seeing the fight that broke out here.

"Make me some too, Pearl, don't forget you and I need to visit the guild this afternoon to finish the transaction on those crystals."

"I won't forget... By the way, I use a draining spell, not a casted one. So as long as I have mana, you're not getting out without burning our house down, that's twenty more seconds."

"WHAT!? Oh come on! This is not how you should ever be treating your older sister!"
