"So how is it possible that from our scans that it still showing that he's biological makeup remains completely normal." Sylvia asked Iris looking completely seriously at the various screen in front of her.

One of the screen to the left is showing the recorded video of Kyr breaking out of his containment room. And the other two screens beside are showing various data concerning his biological makeup and whether he's using any magic or supernatural energy through an electromagnetic scan enchanted with a spell that specialised in detecting magical or supernatural energy.

"That I'm not quite sure of Commander. How is he able to manipulate this much energy without having an energy core? For magi's to begin manipulating their respective element they must have an energy core which they slowly gather and condense the nature energy in the air into themselves. While supernatural beings are changed from the inside and out due to the supernatural energy coursing through their body.

The only thing I could find through checking the scans and the various materials that we manage to get while he was unconscious is that... I mean look here." Iris pointed at the paused video before Kyr destroyed the enchanted walls and glass windows.

"According to the scans, there was a moment of fluctuation within himself. As if the core of his power comes from within his soul. There's a moment a tiny fraction of the frame where you can see some sort of like a black hole within the centre of himself absorbing everything around him.

What I can't figure out is, how he's able to do this and somehow release this staggering amount of energy without imploding, and the most surprising fact is that his body still remains normal without a hint of natural energy or supernatural energy in his system." Said Iris animatedly like looking at a very interesting puzzle.

"So what you're telling me is that we don't even have a clue of the extent of his powers and what kind of weakness he possesses." Sylvia couldn't help but sigh.

"I wished he doesn't present to be a problem and stick to his intentions of helping us and generally behaving. The one thing I'm worried about is what if he's lying about accidentally coming here and his people is planning to invade this world.

That's why I have given Elana the mission of watching his every move closely and reporting to me if he's acting strange or he takes any actions that could be interpreted as communicating to his former world or creating some sort of portal or ritual that allows them to connect and get to our world in any way.

This is why we must prepare for a worst-case scenario, what if Kyr is a person that we must stop and ultimately destroy. I don't want to rely on merely wishful thinking. There are far too many people's lives at stake for that." Said Sylvia with a grim resolution.

"I hope it doesn't have to come to that Commander." Sympathise Iris. She instinctively knew that having Kyr as an enemy would be the greatest threat, far more than all these anomalies combined. She had an inkling that what he's shown so far is barely the tip of the iceberg.

"I just hope Elana manages to bewitch the alien man and make him fall in love with her. That would give me more confidence that he would stand with us and not against us, or even him remaining neutral would be a good outcome too." Said Sylvia.

"Elana's not really good at flirting with guys." Replied Iris cheekily.

"Even so, she's somehow got his attention so far. Let's hope that something comes out of this." Prays Sylvia.

Kyr stood in front of a huge helicopter. That's what Elana told him the name of it anyway. The magnificent looking thing sat there on top on top of the headquarters roof. They called it the landing bay, Kyr wondered if this was a weapon of war. The gigantic sharp rotary blades on top of the helicopter must mean it was used to mow down enemies. Kyr's eyes sparkled at the thought of seeing it in action as it tears the enemy to shreds.

Elana noticed Kyr looking at the rotary wings of the helicopter which such an intensity. He was circling around it like a child looking at an awesome toy.

"Yeah, that's not what the blades are used for." Elana informed him.

"You mean they don't mow down enemies with the blades charging forward, cutting anything down in its way?"

Elana shook her head and she still couldn't help but roll her eyes.

"Well, that's disappointing. What are they use for then?"

Elana looks at the sullen look in Kyrs eyes and couldn't help but chuckle.

"You'll see in a moment," she said simply and dragged him with her inside.

Kyr simply shrug his shoulders and let her drag him. If she was going to laugh at him like this for being ignorant then it should be fair of him to take a little bit of liberty. Facing forwards acting as nonchalant as possible he hooked his arms around hers and let her do her thing. So far he understood that this was a vehicle of some sort, maybe one that can fly.

He did hear they were going to an island of some sort for the test.

Harruar island to be exact.

Kyr was handed headphones and he complied when they instructed him to put them on his ears. He was accompanied by commander Sylvia, Elana of course and some of the division captains that are going to be acting as proctors as well as to ensure the safety of the trainees taking the test. Samir was included and he has been eyeing Kyr with distrust in his eyes. Other division captains gave him a curious look but otherwise paid him no mind.

Kyr merely smiled at him haughtily, begging him to do something with his eyes. But commander Sylvia caught on quick and cleared her throat.

Kyr finally understood why he needed the oversize ear protectors because as soon as the engine started, he could barely hear anything but the deafening noise of the rotary wings. Kyr wanted to get up and see how fast the damn thing was spinning but Elana put a hand on his lap gesturing him not to mess around. Kyr merely snorted.

I'm not a damn child.

Kyr felt the ground gave way when it finally lifted off and they were soaring through the sky. Kyr blinked and rubbed his eyes in disbelief. How was this even possible. This wasn't even enchanted or fixed with different runes to allow it to fly like this. Elana told her this was one of the ingenious inventions of normal humans.

Kyr looked below in fascination. He could fly of course but this had a more candid feeling to it, it just feels more surreal, maybe it's because he was new to this whole thing so it was such a novelty for him.

After a while, he did get bored because of how slow it is. But fortunately, it only took about half an hour. He could already see the outline of the island, from up here he could spot many overgrown trees dotting the landscape.

In the middle of the island was a big clearing with all sort of building structure similar to that of the headquarters of beacon and hope. Surrounded by all the varying structures was a big massive spire. It was made of a strange black material that has a glossy texture to it.

When they landed they were greeted by enforcers and some people wearing white lab coats. Kyr wasn't interested in all of that and wandered off to take a closer look at the dungeon. He wasn't unfamiliar with dungeons as dungeons are a common thing in Elswyr.

Kyr knew that dungeons structures have mostly similar-looking structures but it also depends on the type of dungeon it is and where it appeared. He supposed that because it's an earth dungeon, that the outward appearance pretty much differed from what he was accustomed to.

He honestly couldn't wait to dive in and see what he finds inside.

After all the greetings and niceties have been done. Kyr was brought inside a room. Kyr noticed that there were three people in there about the same age as him.

Two boys and one girl. They standing together wearing some kind of uniform. Maroon blazer with some king of logo near the collar of it. But that was the only thing that they wore the same as each other.

The girl paid him no mind and so did the black-haired boy both maintaining an air of indifference. While the red-haired boy greeted his teeth at him and was glaring at him.

Kyr couldn't help but think that messing around with this guy and putting this monkey in its place was going to be fun.

"This is Kyr and he will be joining you today to undergo the graduation test to become a full-fledged agent of Beacon and Hope." Commander Sylvia announced.

"Kyr take your place with your three teammates and you all will be briefed on what you're mission is going to be by division five captain Samir."

"How come he gets to be here without taking all the other test. I don't want to be rude Commander Sylvia but we fought tooth and nail to get here and for someone to suddenly get special treatment. A kid like who's like us who we have never even heard off just suddenly pop out of nowhere and nonchalantly take a place with us is just a little bit unfair!" Cried out Daniel, the red-haired kid.

"I'm guessing you both feel the same way as Daniel." Sighed Sylvia clutching her head. She knew it was too much for them to accept this but she hoped they could have been a little bit understanding. Kyr was a special case, a once in a lifetime kind of case.

The two students who had remained quiet nodded solemnly. They studied hard and had to take gruelling test and examination and when they got there after defeating hundreds of students only for a random kid to take place with them without even experiencing the same hardship was a little bit too much. They both didn't want to say anything just in case it would somehow affect things. Who knows if this kid is the son of some incredibly important person but they at least want an explanation.

All of the people in the room turned around to Kyr as they heard him chuckling to himself, somehow finding the whole situation amusing.

Elana saw Kyr took a step forward approaching the red-haired boy. She somehow had a bad feeling about this and followed closely just in case things turns south. Hopefully, he doesn't do anything and if he does well she just hoped that because they had been spending time together and that he was quite fond of her, he might listen to reason.

"Because kid, we're just not in the same league," said Kyr simply.

Daniel glared at him and clenched his fist. Kyr merely smirked and instantly Daniel finds himself crashing on the wall behind him at breakneck speed.

Daniel howled in pain as he was still propped up high against the wall by some kind of invisible force. Daniel tried to move but the intensity of the force holding him there began to steadily increase embedding him further against the wall.

"Kyr.." Elana said worriedly.

They all could see that Daniel was bleeding profusely from his nostrils and it looked like the strange force was trying to crush him.

"Chair!" Barked Kyr at one of the enforcers in the room. The enforcer immediately grabs the chair without a second thought and brought it to Kyr carefully afraid of incurring his wrath.

Kyr grabbed the chair and sat on top of the chair placing his feet on the spot where you suppose to sit. He stared at Daniel mockingly, who was still trying to get out of whatever is holding him in place.

"Now, do I have the qualifications to be taking the test with you," Kyr asked Daniel.

"Now think carefully about how you want to answer this question. Because I don't know.. my concentration might slip because your words affected me and I might just crush you into a fine paste. That would definitely be a very terrible tragedy."

Everyone gulped nervously. The menacing aura Kyr was getting stronger and there was a blood lust in the air. His eyes were wide-eyed and bright as if expecting Daniel to defy him.

Elana couldn't help but step back involuntarily.

"Whatever happened to not doing the same thing to this world. Your second day in here and you're already on your way to committing your first murder."

Kyr let up a little just enough so Daniel could speak.

"I.."

Daniel coughed out blooded violently.

"I'm sorry. I don't have a problem with you joining us for the final test." He coughed out weakly.

Captain Samir then came charging in. Gravity magic turned on at full force trying to crush Kyr with the sheer power of fifty times earth gravity blasted at him. But Kyr merely just stood there and laughed, absorbing the whole devastating energy with his power. Then he flickered and slammed a heavy fist onto Samir's stomach. His fist was covered with the absorbed energy he took from Samir.

Samir keeled over with an agonising grunt. Clutching his stomach and passing out. Kyr stepped on his head and he was sporting a wide smile.

"Anyone else has a problem." Asked Kyr looking at everyone in the room.

"How about you two? Do you guys have your own opinion about me taking the test?"

Kyr looked at the boy and the girl who had been quiet thus far but definitely had their own unsavoury opinion of him.

They both turned pale and shook their heads vigorously.

Kyr laughed hard.

"That's what I thought." He smiled victoriously looking like an oppressive death god.

Commander Sylvia clenched her first. She couldn't help but think that is this it? Did Kyr change his mind? Must we fight yet another unknown powerful enemy?

"I.. I thought.. you said.. that.. you won't let your old habits... affect your stay here." Shouted Elana. Her voice quivering with fear.

Kyr stopped in his tracks and looked back at the red-haired girl trying her best to stand up to him. To not be afraid in front of absolute power. Without a second thought, Kyr retracted the energy he was emitting and walked towards Elana.

Elana's lips quivered but she clenched her fist as she stood her ground, putting on a brave face. Kyr couldn't help but chuckle and take her into his embrace.

"You're right, you're right. I did say that. I guess old habits die hard. If it makes you feel any better, I wasn't going to kill anyone." He whispered in her ear.

Elana couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief, her legs gave out as the adrenaline left her system. She leaned weakly against him. Elana doesn't trust herself enough to be able to stand up properly on her own.

"No, it doesn't make me feel any better. You can't just attack people for no reason." She replied back, hitting his chest lightly with her fist.

"I did have a reason."

"It would be the decent thing to do to at least apologise." She suggested hopefully.

"I'll think about it."

He blew in her ear which made her fidget uncomfortably. But she let out a sigh of relief, he was back to his normal insufferable self, not that terrible violent demon he was earlier.

Commander Sylvia unclench her fist with relief. She gestured for the enforcers and the other division captain to back down. No one was seriously injured and the injuries were a quick fix because divisions six captain Rene is here.

Sylvia couldn't help but be hopeful that in the near future Elana could somehow mellow out Kyr so incidents like when the other party provokes him or holds him in contempt he doesn't just start firing rounds like he was in a war movie.

Yeah I'm not sure if any of the garbled nonsense I spewed out regarding how powers work made sense.. haha anyway if yoy're enjoying this story please support me on Paypal or kofi
