Chapter 2 - System Status 1
What is happening?
After waking up and being detained, Azuria found herself on the receiving end of what seemed to be torture(?) by an evil Human called Lily.
“Ahhh, so fluffy; this is heaven. It’s a crime not to wash this fluffiness.”
“Please. Stop. Rubbing. My. Tail.”
“Such good manners as well; this is too good.”
Despite being discovered to be a beastman, Lily and Shoto didn’t act with much malice and instead, they were very excited about it, much to Azuria’s surprise.
After enduring the torturous shower, Azuria got dressed into a little white one-piece dress with some laces provided by Lily and guided to a bedroom upstairs. Although it would be a wise idea to escape with an exposed identity, Azuria didn’t feel the need to for now; after all, it was a free place to stay for the night.
“Hey! I brought my sleeping bag to sleep with you!”
Lily suddenly burst open the door, interrupting Azuria's peaceful thinking with her ample energy, making Azuria shriek with her tails straightened.
Maybe it isn't a good idea to stay here now.
Azuria thought for a moment before shaking her head.
I should stop having disrespectful thoughts. Lily won't be that bad. Right?
Lily quickly placed down a sleeping bag next to the bed and jumped into bed with Azuria with expectant eyes and a creepy grin.
"Time for girl talks. What’s something you like to do? I love love in the mountains.”
“Huh? Love love in the mountains?”
“It’s a pun, my bad, I chose the most basic pun I could.”
(Author Note: すきー が すき. skiing(スキー) in Japanese kana sounds like love(すき), so it’s supposed to be “I love skiing.”(スキー が すき) sorry for the bad pun, just had to use my inner dad joke energy and maybe add restrictions to translation magic.)
Amidst Azuria’s confusion, Lily quickly explained that it was a pun. It seems translation magic doesn’t work on puns. The horrific pun from Lily made the room awkward and silent, which continued for a few minutes. Azuria was the first to withdraw and went deep to sleep. Lily quickly followed along and rolled off the bed with a sad poker face.
Azuria slept until midday the following day until Lily woke her up. After brushing her teeth using something that didn’t resemble a typical toothbrush, Azuria sat at the dinner table with 2 new guests.
“Hello, Azuria. I’m Shoto’s mother, Kanaka, and this is my husband, Hitotsu.”
A woman around her early 30s, and a man around the same age, both with similar features to Shoto, greeted Azuria.
“So... I’m guessing you’re either a test subject from the government or someone from another world.”
Kanaka got straight to the point with a warm smile and a pair of predatory eyes. It was quite scary for Azuria, who immediately became flustered.
“U-uh, um, yes, no, yes, no. W-wait, where am I?”
After getting out of being flustered and talking like a broken robot, Azuria began to focus with a solemn expression unlike before. Because of her immense hunger, Azuria disregarded a lot of important details, but now that she was well-rested and full, her brain began kicking back up.
“This is Japan, on a planet called Earth. We don’t have any intelligent creatures besides Humans on this planet. So, who are you exactly?”
Kanaka looked with piercing eyes and a curious expression. The whole room was tense and quiet for a few minutes before Azuria decided to break the silence.
“I apologise for my late introduction; my name is Azuria Tuessian, Second Princess of the Imperial Coalition. I’m sorry, but could you repeat that, please? There are no beastmans?”
“None; Beastmans and other races only exist in fiction. There are only Humans on this planet. From your greeting, I’m guessing you’re from another world?”
“I’m not sure, but that’s likely it.”
“Then... do you have an RPG game system??!”
Kanaka’s expression suddenly went from cold and solemn to pure excitement as she leaned towards Azuria, who almost fell off her chair from the sudden change. Hitotsu and Shoto quickly pulled Kanaka back as Azuria looked at the scene in awe and shock.
“What’s a gamu system?”
Azuria asked after pondering for a few seconds. Hearing Azuria’s question, Lily pulled out a strange box with some illumination and showed Azuria something called a ‘status board.’ It was a numerical projection of a person's power, is that a gamu system?
“Can you say status?”
Lily asked whilst breathing very roughly for some strange reason.
“Status?”
Nothing happened for a few seconds, but then a massive blue screen popped out in front of Azuria with some simple information.

Tfw she's the only sapient being that has white hair. She'll soon know that humans in this world will get white hair color from either stress or growing old.
