Or maybe not. Lora pouted her face. She was frustrated. I've cleaned his entire body for 30 minutes straight, especially his manhood, but he didn't make one single move.

"Our bathing session ends here." Seto stepped out of the barrel and grabbed a towel. He enjoyed his time with Lora but wasn't in the mood for sex. She had a nice body, but Seto was too tired to think about inappropriate things.

When he wanted to exit the bathroom, he encountered Theo.

"Brother Seto. You're finally done bathing. You sure like to take your time." He studied Seto's face and complimented him. "You're handsome. Do you know that? I bet you are popular with the girls. Speaking about girls, have you seen Lora? I can't find her."

Seto's expression became awkward. He shrugged his shoulders. "Haven't seen her. After she told me where the bathroom was, she went outside, I think."

"Outside? At this time? It's late, and it's not safe out there." Theo became concerned. He excused himself and hurried outside.

Phew, I didn't want to ruin his perfect image of me. If he found out his sister and I took a bath together, he wouldn't be happy.

"Did he leave?" Lora embraced Seto from behind, pushing her breasts against his back.

"Yes, he did." He distanced himself from Lora and tightened the towel around his middle. "Can I borrow some clothes?"

"You can borrow my brother's clothes. Although you're taller than him, his clothes are enormous. It won't be a perfect fit, but it gets the job done. I'll give you some after I've dressed."

Seto nodded his face and walked towards the living room. The house of Lora's family was small, but they had various rooms. Each room was tiny and didn't waste a single room of space. Lora's father, George, greeted Seto when he entered the living room. After that, he returned to reading, not paying much attention to Seto.

Seto didn't mind. He studied George and glanced at the book he was reading. The fact that George could read surprised Seto. He didn't expect a farmer to be able to read. When Seto entered the village, he noticed the lack of technology in this world. He began recalling his memories with perfect clarity. His high stats gave him perfect memory. The walk on the streets in the village played back. He observed the villagers, their behavior, their clothes, their conversations, everything.

He concluded a few obvious things. Firstly, this world's society was comparable to the pre-industrial society of earth: men stood higher on the social ladder than women. There were empires and kingdoms, each with its ruler. Seto heard some talk about magic, which confirmed his assumption it existed in this world. Secondly, it was a cruel world. The social differences were terrible. Those with power suppressed those without it—nobles took advantage of their social standing and forced daughters of peasants into sexual favors. Slavery was allowed, rape and murder were as common as clouds in the sky. In other words: a perfect chaotic world in which he could enjoy life. Although there were some laws in the cities, he was omnipotent. Who could stop him?

Seto stopped his memory and tried to start a conversation with Lora's father.

"What are you reading, sir?"

George looked at Seto and asked a question. "Are you interested in books?"

"I am. Knowledge is power."

George gave a nod of approval. He began to approve of this young man. "It's not common for youngsters to be interested in books. I'm starting to take a liking to you. Don't tell Lora, but I prefer you over Ivon. I think my daughter fancies you. I hope you don't disappoint her."

"Sir, I think we have a misunderstanding. I'm not interested in your daughter. I see her as a friend."

"You're not interested in her? You're the first person who said that. All those worthless boys in the village fancy her. I disapprove of all of them, but you're an exception. How much wealth do you have?"

"Wealth? I don't have anything at the moment."

"What, you don't have anything? How is that possible? You're handsome. You're strong. You haven't been robbed, have you?. You must have an interesting story."

"It's a long story."

"I've got the time."

"It's not that interesting."

"Don't be modest."

"Yes, don't be modest." Lora entered the room. She was dressed and had a pair of clothes in her hands. She placed the clothes on the table and joined the conversation. "I'm also interested in your story. A fine man like you couldn't be simple, right? When I saw you defeat that troll in one punch, I knew you were powerful."

"Don't tell them if you don't want to." Theo had returned from his search. He then looked at Lora with an angry expression. "Where have you been hiding? I see you took a shower already. I couldn't find you anywhere."

Lora blushed but didn't say anything. She remembered her improper actions and became as red as a tomato. She settled herself next to Seto and stayed quiet. "Seto was about to tell his story, and you interrupted him. Take a shower. You smell."

Theo blushed, and he walked away. George and his daughter laughed at him and returned their focus to Seto. "This is not an interrogation. I'm just interested in you as a person. I want to see which kind of man could catch my daughter's attention."

"Dad," Lora said. "Stop embarrassing me."

George ignored his daughter and waited for Seto's answer.

Seto sighed. I guess they won't stop until I tell them something. He looked at the curious-looking father-daughter pair and cleared his throat. "My full name is Seto Ukyo, I'm sixteen years old, and I'm traveling the world."

"Are you married?" Lora asked.

"No, I'm not." Lora sighed in relief when she heard his answer. She wanted to jump into the air.

"But enough about me. Why don't you tell me more about this place?"

"What do you want to know?"

"First of all. Where are we?"

George's was stupefied. Wasn't this well-known knowledge? He didn't think much about it and explained it to Seto. "Our humble village is located in the far east of the continent. We're part of the Vudal Kingdom, which is one of the four kingdoms. The name of the current king is Gerald of Sabri, and he rules with an iron fist. He encourages—just like the other rules—the practice of slavery. He thinks the strong should prosper and the weak perish. I also heard he has a lot of sex slaves."

"I see. What about strength? How is it measured?"

"Strength is measured with a device called: a strength measuring device. It's a device designed to give an accurate display of a person's strength. The rulers of each kingdom and empire collaborated on a Unified Strength Standard system which each country used. You can only measure your strength at an adventurer's guild or at one of the many other associations that can do so. When the guild has measured your strength, it will show on your card. You can use this card to identify a person. This card has a lot of information on it: your name, your age, your adventurer rank, your USS (Unified Strength Standard), and a lot of other stuff. Of course, there's a magic spell cast on it to prevent forgery."

"Are there any other races?" asked Seto.

"What kind of question is that? Of course, there are. Besides us humans, there are elves, dwarfs, beast-kin, and many other races, but there are also monsters."

"How do you know so much?"

"Reading, as you said, knowledge is power. Although I doubt that you read as much as me."

Seto ignored George's comment. He looked at Lora and asked, "is the 'average' person literate, or are you an exception?"

George felt quite smug. "Most people are incapable of reading, but I educated myself. My wife, for example, cannot read, but Lora and Theo can both read. I taught them."

"What about currency?"

"We humans have a unified currency system, but all the other races have their way of doing things.

We use coins that differ in value. Copper coins are the most common coin. The average family earns one copper a day which are 365 coins each year. One hundred copper coins are equivalent to one silver coin. One hundred silver coins are equal to one gold coin. One hundred gold coins are worth one platinum coin. One hundred platinum coins are worth one divine coin."

Seto thought about what George said. He compared the living conditions to earth and concluded that one copper coin was roughly 1 dollar.

The conversation ended as soon as Theo finished bathing. George's wife completed dinner and served it. It was a stew made out of grain and other things.

After dinner, Seto asked where he could sleep and went to Theo's room. Theo slept in a different bed, and soon they both fell asleep.

Seto woke up when he heard whispers. He opened the door and saw Lora standing in the hallway. She kissed him on his lips and stared into his eyes. "You owe me something, remember?"
