After breakfast, Seto and Lora left the house. They bid their goodbyes. George suggested a weapon, but Seto declined. He gave him a bag of coins before they left. “It isn’t much, but it’s enough to cover the expenses. Those are the savings I accumulated over the past decade.”

Seto expected nothing when he counted the coins, but the number surprised him—there were ten silver coins and 80 copper coins. He did the math and converted it to dollars. He estimated it to be 1,080 dollars.

It seems they saved for a long time.

When the two of them wanted to leave the town, a group of men stopped them. They ranged immensely in age: the youngest was around 16 and the oldest 40. The group was pretty considerable. When Seto counted them, he counted 40 men. He saw their intentions in a split second but didn’t say anything. He just smirked.

“Where do you think you’re going? You think you can snatch our village beauty and get away with it?”

One man stepped forth. He looked at Lora with desire. He fancied her since they were kids, and now this stranger was going to steal her away? He wasn’t going to let that happen. When he saw Lora entering the town with a stranger last night, he didn’t expect him to be so attractive. He swore when he saw him just now, that man was a lot more handsome than he thought.

When it was dark, he couldn’t get a good glimpse of his face, but now he could. fuck, he thought—Seto looked like the zenith of male attractiveness. He became jealous the more he studied him. Seto was taller than all the men in the village. He had gorgeous golden hair. His eyes were sky-blue. He didn’t leave a chance for other guys. 

Out of envy, he gathered all the men in the village who admired Lora and tried to confront this intruder. Seto couldn’t win against all of them, he thought. He wanted to knock this guy unconscious and then do dirty things to Lora. He planned on raping her. He promised the other guys they could take turns when he was done, and they all agreed. They could imagine themselves fucking her so hard. Taking her innocence away. And stretching all her holes, they were going to plan to gang-rape her. They all gawked at Lora’s assets. They were so thrilled. Lora felt nervous and grabbed Seto’s arm. She buried her face into his back to hide from these men.

Seto noticed that his woman became frightened. He covered Lora with his arm and said. “I don’t have time for insects like you.”

“How dare you? I’m going t—”

Slap

Before the man could complete his sentence, Seto used a minuscule fraction of his strength and slapped the man in his face. Seto watched as the man traveled through the air. I’m getting better at controlling my strength.

The other men were speechless and watched how the man crashed into a pile of cow shit. They all became pale and terrified. Everyone heard the sound of bones crushing, and they all felt terrible for him, except for Seto and Lora, of course. The man’s bones shattered, and his entire body became deformed. He’d become a cripple for the rest of his life.

“Does anyone else have something to say?”

“No, of course not.” They all became friendly and tried to get on his good side. They were cautious not to offend him. “I wish you good luck. Only somebody as handsome as you are is worthy of our village beauty.”

“He deserving of her? It should be the other way around. She should be grateful for such an exceptional man.”

“I agree, this young man is exceptional. Every woman should be grateful to be with him. Sir, can I call you big brother?” Everyone agreed that he was a distinguished man who deserved the attention of many beauties. Their lewd plans vanished from their minds. Their desire went away, and they avoided eye contact with Lora. They wouldn’t dare to think inappropriately of this man’s woman.

A few of them even started offering some of their family members. Maybe that would cool his anger, they thought.

“Sir, you should take my sister as well. Although she’s not that pretty, you deserve the attention of multiple women.”

“Take my sister as well. She’s stunning. Not as pretty, of course, as your woman, but she could satisfy you.”

Seto neglected the praise and cleared his throat. “Unfortunately, I have to reject your kind offers. But if you even think about taking vengeance by doing something to Lora’s family, I’ll come back and slaughter your entire lineage.”

They all became frightened. A chill ran down their spine. They wouldn’t even dare to think something like that. They’d rather die than take revenge. Why would they do something so outrageous? They determined to get on Lora’s family’s good side. Maybe that would satisfy Seto?

“Of course not. We wouldn’t even dare to think about something like that.”

“I’ll protect them. I swear on my life that I’ll protect your wife’s family.”

“Yes, me too. Anybody who dares to think they can lay a finger on your family is stupid. I’ll beat them up.”

“I see,” said Seto. “Then I’ll get going.”

“Sir, you should take our coins. It would be a great honor if you accepted them.”

“Yes, although we know that a great man like you doesn’t lack wealth. We want to give it because you’re so kind.”

All of them agreed and hurried towards their homes to gather all the coins they had. Seto didn’t resist and accepted all of it. They all emptied their pouches and threw them in Seto’s pouch. He counted all the coins in his pouch; there were in total: 400 silver coins. He refused the copper coins. Otherwise, his pouch would get too full. This pouch’s material is quite stretchable. It’s surprising this bag can fit all these coins. His pouch was packed and looked as if it could erupt at any moment, but it didn’t.

Seto studied the men. They all became worried.

“You think I’m stupid, aren’t you? I’ve seen your intentions towards my woman, and those weren’t pure. You should be grateful I’m in a good mood today. I’ll spare your lives, but you should do something for me. As punishment for looking at my woman.”

“We would do anything not to anger you, great sir,” they all shouted. They would do anything not to anger him.

“Poke one eye out, then destroy both of your arms. You should be happy I didn’t command you to become blind. I let you go off easy because you didn’t touch my woman. As for the one guy that brought you together, you should skin him alive. Try to torture him as you see fit afterward.”

The punishment disturbed all of them, but they didn’t dare to complain. The men poked their eyes out, which caused a lot of shrieks. And then they shattered their arms. When Seto saw that they were done, he left. He didn’t want to waste more time than needed. 

All of them bid their farewell as politely as they could. When Seto and Lora left, they became furious.

“That fucking fool, he didn’t inform us that Lora’s man would be this scary.” The group became enraged. They wanted to teach the man who gathered them a lesson. It was his fault and his envy that they almost died. “Let’s go destroy him. We should skin him alive as the merciful god told us to.”

They all went towards the cow shit and taught the man who gathered them a lesson.
