-The next day - 

"Please wake up Alexandria-sama" I heard someone say. 

"This sun is annoying " I said with a groan and my eyes still closed that made the owner of the voice chuckle. 

I opened my eyes to see Erika looking at me with a little smile on her face. She is all clean and wearing the traditional maid outfit and let me tell you boy, she is beautiful. 

"Good morning Alexandria-sama, how was your sleep?" 

"Good morning Erika, it was good but shouldn't you be resting?" I asked . 

She shook her head with a little smile "As your maid I should be attending to you" then she smirked "Are you worried about me?" 

"Please do not overwork yourself and for sure I'm worried, I care about you" I took her hand in mine and looked inside her eyes. "Oh and please call me Alex when we are alone". 

"Oka-y A-Alex" She said with a faint blush on her face. 

"Hey why are you blush-" I was about to ask her when mama barged inside the room. 

"Bonjour mon cœur, you should hurry up, we are about to be late" she said while pinching my cheeks. 

"Oww Oww Oww please stop that mama it hurt" I said while trying to get her hands of me. 

"Good morning Laurena-sama" Erika bowed to mama. 

"Oh my~ I didn't saw you there Erika, how are you chérie?" mama released my cheeks to pat Erika head. 

'Freeeeeee!!' I was nearly crying while rubing my sore cheeks. I was completely ignored by those two. 

"I am fine Laurena-sama, thanks to you and mylady, I had food, a bath and clean clothes " Erika answered while looking down. 

After that there was silence in the room and everyone could feel the seriousness of the matter that was about to be touched. 

'What had she gone through for her to be thankful over something this small' I thought to myself. 

Erika clapsed her hands and smiled "Anyway aren't we late?" 

My mom looked at the clock on the wall and it was already 10:15am.

"Hurry up we are late" mama yelled at us before storming out of the room. 

"Shall we get ready mylady?" Erika asked with a smirk. 

"Yes we shall" I said with a sigh fully knowing what's ahead of me. 

- Time skip by chibi Erika cuddling  chibi Alex - 

- Church - 10:30 am

"Sister Maria" I runned to the woman who was once my caretaker. 

"Oh my~ Alex you are so big now, already having your awakening" Sister Maria said with fake tears in the eyes "I can still remember the first time I held you in my arms you were so tiny, oh and that time you poop-" 

" Sister I think we got it please stop embarrassing me" the tips of my ears were red as roses. Everyone laughed at me saying that. 

" Ara~ara~ is my little phoenix shy?" She asked with a smirk. 

" No i'm not" I said with a pout and crossed my arms. 

" Now now, I think we are done making fun of my baby" mama said while chuckling. 

"yes we are" She said that but the wink she sent my direction gave me  shivers. 

"By the way where is the Duke and Young Viktor?" Sister Maria asked while looking around. 

" Dimitri was summoned to the capital and Viktor being himself threw a tantrum to go with his dad" mama answered. 

I really wanted them to be here with us but we can't always have what we want. The priest was coming our way

" Mylady all the guests are here I think we should begin the ceremony" 

" I guess you are right, are you ready?" she asked looking my way. 

"I am".

-Viktor pov-

My dad was summoned to the king and it took us five days to reach the capital. We don't really know why the King want to see dad, but I think its because of his Duke status. Our dukedom is big but the peasants don't have enough resources to be independent so we are one of the poorest dukedom and my dad is always being laughed at because of that. I swear that when I grow up we are gonna be the richest of this country. 

I was so in my head that I didn't notice we reached the castle. 

" Stop right here and state your business in the castle" one of the guards at the gates yelled. 

The carriage stopped moving and my dad jumped out. I looked as he took out a letter with the royal seal from his coat pocket, as soon as the guard saw it he stepped at the side and asked for the gates to be open. 

Dad entered the carriage and we were soon moving again. I was amazed by the beauty of the gardens, there were all sort of flowers, some that I knew and others that I couldn't even dreamed of. 

We reached the castle door and someone was there waiting for us. 

"Welcome Lord Von Kirr, it is nice to see you again and I see you came with the little Lord" the man was handsome for someone of his age, white hair and beard trimmed neatly and he was wearing a blue tailored suit with white gloves. 

" Oh Esteban it is nice to see you again and yes Viktor is already old enough to participate in the dukedom activities" my dad answered while ruffling my hairs. 

"I see, please follow me the king is waiting for you" Esteban started walking inside the castle and we were just following him around. 

If we thought that the outside was beautiful then the inside is a piece of art, the hall was decorated in gold with hints of silver and there were paintings all around. The one that attracted my attention the most was that huge painting of a family of five, one man, a woman, two boys and a girl. They were all dressed in beautiful attires so I think it is the royal family. 

We reached a door and Esteban stepped aside to let us enter. " The king is waiting for you behind this door" 

"Thank you Esteban" my dad said but Esteban just bowed at him before going who knows where. 

As we enter the room six pairs of eyes are fixed on us. I was a little startled so I hided behind dad. He took my hand and walked to the center of the room before bowing to the man sitted in the throne. It was the same man of the painting, a strong build, lightly tanned skin, blonde hair tied at the back, blue eyes that looked straight in you soul. He was wearing a white button up shirt tucked in a pair of black pants. He gave off a friendly aura. 

"Raise Dimitri, we are friends, you don't need to bow to me" The king said with a smile. 

" you are still the king and not bowing down to you is disrespectful" my dad said while standing up. 

" true" the king laughed then motioned for us to sit down. 

"I summoned you here for an important matter that was reported to me about your dukedom" All trace of smile disappeared on the man face. 

The air suddenly became tensed and i knew that the subject that followed was going hard on us.
