Well, that was certainly something. Not sure what to make of the whole deal, to be honest. That happens a lot, I find, especially for guys who don't really do all that much. Like, stuff just happens, and it feels important, like a real big deal to a lot of people, but, when it comes down to it, it's hard to, like, think anything about it. It's just, 'Yep, that happened. It sure did.' And, ultimately, you just keep doin' the same crap you've been doin'. It's weird.

Especially here, where it's entirely possible that the person directly responsible for the thing is a friend of mine. Or an acquaintance. Not really sure. Someone I've fought with, had an almost hostage situation with, gotten advice from, eaten dinner with, twice, and finally stopped a fight 40 feet in the friggin' air with. In that order. Whatever that makes us. Anyways, that person (Catface, naturally) likely blew up that statue.

And, previously noted, I have no idea what to make of that. On one hand, that's, y'know, terrorism potentially, plus there's all that 'dark lord' stuff that I don't really get, but, on the other, it's just a statue. A statue I have no real connection to. And a boring one, at that. Anyways, it's something to think about, I guess. Maybe.

Anyways again, Sis and I are currently just sitting up on some flat rooftops. After Baldy left, we decided it'd be a good idea to get away from the crowds, as they were getting a little irritating. No real reason we picked the rooftops, they just kinda felt like a cool place to relax, I guess.

"So, what're we doin' next?" Sis asked, after a while.

Y'know... That's a good question, actually. I wanted to talk to Maurice a bit, but he's kinda otherwise occupied at the moment. "Uh... I got nothin'." I said. "To be entirely honest, part of me just wants to kill time 'till whatever the thing DYN2 mentioned happens."

"That's fair. That should be exciting, probably."

"Hope so."

. . .

Well, we're certainly not killing much time like this. Time's so not being killed right now it's out eating cheese sticks or something.

"Anything you wanna do?" I asked.

"Fish. I mean, huh, what?" Sis said.

"Well, it's just that we've mostly just been doing all my crap. But, now, I'm fresh outa crap to do. Anything you wanna do?"

"Well, I've already been fishing..."

"Well, uh, what do you usually do?"

Sis looked up at the sky, and thought for a moment. "Fish, obviously. I read. Watch people. Sometimes do some crafts and stuff. What about you?"

"This, mostly."

"No, like, before."

"Oh. Well, I read, watched TV, played games. Sometimes I cooked."

"You can cook?"

"Well, kinda. I know how to use an oven, mostly. And sometimes I made myself sweets. So, I guess I baked, really"

"Ah, cool."

. . .

"Are we pathetic?" I asked.

"No." Sis said. "I'm an immortal."

 I chuckled. "Fair enough."

. . .

"Maybe we'll get better ideas if we go somewhere with less noise." I suggested. I mean, it was pretty quiet up there, but there was still some noise from the city, or something, maybe?... Look, I knew that didn't make any sense long before it left my mouth, but it was somethin' to do.

Sis shrugged. "Eh, sure."

I decided to warp us over by S and I's soon to be house/base thing. No real reason, just felt like a good, chill place. Plus, I figure that maybe we'll run into Michaus on his way to do something or whatever. I figure he's a lot better at being impulsive than I am, he might have some good ideas.

I placed us inside the cabin, for some reason, I dunno. Guess I haven't actually had a proper look around the place, now that I'm thinking about it. We were standing in what I think is supposed to be the big living space, near the entryway. It's a little hard to tell, though, considering the lack of furnishings and stuff. The only things that were inside some kitchen stuffs over in the, well, kitchen, which was connected to the living area. Open concept, or something.

There wasn't any light in the room, either, other than what was coming in from the windows, which made the place feel kinda sleepy.

"Y'know, if we got, like, sleeping bags, or something, we could probably just sleep in here, instead of having to pay for an inn all the time." I said.

"Yeah, you probably could. Assuming you could find a spot where the floor's stable." Sis said, carefully eyeing the ground.

"Oh, yeah, that's true." Yeah, floor seems a bit iffy in some places. Bet you could end up falling through the floor if you weren't careful. "But we could do that. Go sleeping bag shopping, I mean. Not, like, fall through holes in the floor."

"Thrilling." Sis said. "Yeah, that works."

I put my hands together. Well, it's not the most interesting thing we could do, but, if nothing else, it'll kill time until we think of the ne-

We heard a noise coming from outside. It sounded almost like a squirrel, running across wood, but bigger. Surely too large for any reasonable squirrel with even a modicum of self respect. Plus, why the heck would a squirrel be all the way out here, y'know?

"Or we could see what the heck that was." I said. Aha! Yes! Excitement, intrigue!

"I'm down." Sis said.

And so, we went out the door. I decided it would be a good idea to slam it open, like a friggin' cartoon character or something. I had expected the door to slam into, like, the wall, or something, uh, but, well, it seemed to stop just a little early.

"AHOW, HELL-!" I heard a voice shout from the direction the door was swinging. The voice was familiar, but I couldn't quite place it.

Oop.

I think I heard Sis chuckle, which was kinda messed up, thinking about it, but I've more important things to worry about.

"Oh, u-uh, sorry, didn't know y-you w-were ther-" I began, in a panic. Wait, what? "Uh, w-why were you there, actually? A-and who-" I stepped out and pushed the door back a bit, and saw Zramazos, of all people, standing there against the wall clutching his nose, and with his eyes closed. "O-oh, uh, hey... Zramazos... What... Uh..." I really had no idea what to say in this situation. "S-sorry?"

His face was completely red. Fortunately not with blood, well, I guess it kinda was, cus that's what gives blushing the red hue as far as I understand it, but, yeah, he was blushing. No blood on the outside of the fleshy bits. "No, ah, crap, uh, this, uh, er, this was, uh, I was..." See, his mouth was moving, and noises were coming out of his mouth, but, the problem is, none of them really had any meaning. He just kinda vomited words at me for a while. I probably should've interrupted sooner, but, I mean, it was like watching a burning building, or something. I could barely bring myself to look away.

Oh, and I noticed Sis looking over at something behind me. Turns out that noise we heard was just a big squirrel. I could see it running off. No idea what it thought it was doing way out here, in the middle of nowhere.

After a while, I figured I should stop Zramazos before he runs out of breath and passes out, which, at the time, seemed like a very real possibility. "Y-you good?" I asked, putting my hand on his shoulder, and looking up at him. He's a good bit taller than me, so I had to kinda reach up to do this.

"Uh... Y-yeah." He said, taking a deep breath and slowly removing his hands from his face. Fortunately, his nose looked fine. Also, I couldn't help but notice that something out here smelled really good. Like flowers, or something.

. . .

"So, uh... what were you doing there?" I asked.
