Kiras point of view, mixed with Inaris

everything was dark after she felt the explosion, it was rather hard to explain but it almost felt like everything around her had been destroyed in a split moment while she gently was pushed into the void she now found herself in, she couldn't see anything or hear anything, Kira wondered if she was having a blackout of sorts or what exactly had happened, she wasn't stupid and knew the 2 most likely scenarios were she either got knocked out by something or had died, either had she truly lost her senses and she was now stuck in this void with just her own thoughts, probably hauled up in some hospital with people thinking she was in a coma, or she was dead.

Kira couldn't help but scuff at the second thought as this was a rather lame experience for dying but then again beats Christianity's vision of small babies with wings flying around playing harps as that would likely eternally grade on her nerves.

Out of the Darkness Kira suddenly heard the most serene voice she had ever heard in her life.

Inari:

"Hello Kira, and forgive me for my selfishness but I could not bear to see a soul as beautiful as yours being snuffed out.

I know this is likely hard to understand and very sudden, but yes I essentially stole your soul before your natural death as your soul would have been put aside and erased to never see the reincarnation cycle again."

I will likely not be able to explain it properly, but what you call Earth is the first realm we created and have since left behind for various reasons, before leaving did we put a system in place to purge souls that had gotten too corrupted to still have any of the few virtues that humans hold, hence every 5000 years do we purge those souls out of the system, to try to at the very least mitigate some of the corruption we built the system to simply take souls that deviate too much from the normal values of the beings on the planet but never anticipated that someone, would deviate without corruption being the main cause as all growth has been stagnant for a very long time for the races in that realm."

Kira was slightly surprised by the sorrow and struggle she heard in Inaris's voice when using the name of her planet seemed surreal.

After molding over the information she decided to state the conclusion she had arrived at.

Kira: "So to summarize, and please do correct me if I misunderstood this if you hadn't pulled me out my soul would have been erased because my soul by all intends and purposes of the system are no longer considered human?"

Inari: "Unfortunately correct my dear, and please don't take this the wrong way but even in our main realm would your soul still stand out, however, our new reincarnation system is much more versatile and would allow your soul to find a much more suitable vessel than Earth can."

a slight quiver and hesitation could be heard from Inaris's voice before she continued.

Inari: "I was however hoping that you might consider hearing me out about a personal wish before you decide to reincarnate.

would you... consider becoming my daughter and my kin?"

Kira was completely taken aback, "her kin ?"

Inari had a motherly tone throughout speaking to her and the request had seemed heartfelt, but why? what made her so special that a goddess would want to claim her for her own, completely unaware of the investment Inari had spent to even get her here mixed with her own life experiences, could Kira not help but hold suspicion at the request, right until something struck her... The stalker, or rather the nagging feeling of having been watched for the better part of a year.

contemplating that Kira asked "I was trying to think up reasons why you choose me, but you have been watching me for the better part of the last year have you not?"

Inari replied with a solemn voice

"yes, that is correct, and the stunt I pulled is unfortunately already drawing more attention than I would like to admit. Time is short but I was hoping you would consider this old lady's wish, if you would rather be unbound and reincarnate normally I would not stop you however, if you accept making my divine seed part of you does one of the perks include that you get to keep your memories, I will, of course, offer you my blessings regardless of your choice."

Inari was at this point doing her best to remain calm, she was hoping beyond doubt the little bone about keeping her memories would be enough to sway her, at the same time was she afraid she made it worse as from what Inari had seen would Kira likely wish to get rid of those memories and start with a clean slate.

She could of course just read her soul and tell her what she wanted to hear, to try to convince her but Inari felt she would never be able to forgive herself for manipulating Kira in such a way, it had to be her choice or it wouldn't be right.

Kira suddenly spoke up:

"I don't understand the reason for your investment in me, specifically but can I read between the lines and you're likely doing something you're not supposed to. this might come back to haunt my butt later, but I have a suspicion I know what this is about, I would be a hypocrite if I claimed I don't understand the wish for family, you've seen my life, while I don't know how much of it you've seen and understood do I assume you didn't do this out of boredom.

I accept to become your kin"

Kira was feeling nervous, it's not like she couldn't have been tricked she had no clue what it entailed but at least keeping her memories sounded good although her life hadn't been pleasant and one core belief she held was you should never underestimate the value of knowledge, and seeing that her old realm and the new realm is separated will there likely be information she can benefit from.

if Inari knew what Kira had been thinking right now would she had paled, the old realm was specifically removed to not let its values and ideas corrupt the new realm, they introduced various species to ensure no species was dominating the entire realm and further introduced magic to remove people's technology from being able to give them an all empowering upper hand, weapons made with technology are disgusting the mere concept of the nuclear bombs the first realm came up with is something they adamantly wanted to prevent from ever coming into existence again, Chaos had specifically helped to make sure that the nature of the atom bomb could never be repeated with the same force in the new realm by changing up unstable particles behavior in that specific scenario as a safety.

Instead, what Inari did hear caused her heart to flutter, it was impossible to force kinship upon any soul they had to willingly accept your seed within them or it would not work, she got her daughter! and just in the nick of time.

Inari wrapped Kira's soul within her essence and let her absorb the seed, the whole process didn't take more than a minute and sent her off to the realm in a hurry if she was quick enough might the other gods not notice Kira, in-fighting was common enough for strong souls and most of those souls were not even a fraction if Kiras before her soul was reborn with the seed.

if possible would Inari rather keep on good terms with the other deities and by the time they realize what had truly happened would her seed have completely merged with kiras and there would be nothing they could do about it. Inari couldn't help but feel smug about that as she just won the biggest lottery of her life, and Kira was such a lovely Cub.
