Zhou Ruby almost dropped the cups of coffee that she held in one hand. Shocked senseless by the brutality of her colleagues, her face lost all color.

"Are these people even human? I worked my butt off, and this is all I get?! Ha! Manager Chen of all people, you promised that if I completed the project with KiMyr Corp's fashion line that I will be assistant manager! Oh, my goodness! I can't believe what I'm hearing!"

Crying inside with a bleeding heart, Zhou Ruby stared at the empty space, fighting back the tears that burned hotly at the back of her eyes.

At that moment something within Zhou Ruby broke as tears continued to run down her cheeks. Like a zombie, she quietly retraced her footsteps in the direction of the restroom where she remained until the close of day.
