"This has been an amazing cruise. So many wonderful memories," said the Knife Maniac, reclining in a pool chair with a fruity cocktail in her long and elegant fingers.
Miss Planner giggled like a little girl. "Yeah. It's been fun. But I'm ready to get back to work. I've been suffering withdrawal symptoms from my daily schedule."

"You're a bit of a workaholic, aren't you, Miss Planner? I don't even want to know what the Knife Slaves have been getting up to without me. Idiots. I hope they all committed ritual suicide or something. Oh well. I'll be back soon enough to set them straight."

The Razors' Edge sailed smoothly through the ocean waters. It was a beautiful day. The sun shined through the clear blue sky, the wind blew softly and the gentle rocking of the boat soothed tired travelers like Miss Planner. It had been a very stressful year and a half following her promotion to general manager- although she'd never admit it herself, she'd really needed this vacation. After an entire week of fun in the sun, she was relaxed, energized, and ready to take on the world.

"Y'know, I'm quite excited about my new purchases. The Snow of Nothingness, the Whispers of the Grave, the Bones of the Earth... they're all so lovely. I can't wait to see them in action," said the Knife Maniac, her eyes shining.

"I'm sure they'll be a great addition to your organization, my sweet Knife Maniac. I'm going to to use all fifteen of mine to set up a special group of bodyguards for our new executives... we got our hands on some top-level talent from a mortgage lender that just went under. Hehehe. Can't beat the low price. The Pit Razor business model really works."

Miss Planner reclined into the deck chair and sipped her colorful cocktail through a curly straw. The liquor had a faint but refreshing bitterness that complemented the sweetness of the fruit. She licked her lips and sighed happily.

"Ahh, that's good."

"The graduation ceremony's starting soon. Do you want to go?"
"No... I don't want to think about the battle royale right now. I'm still sad about what happened to my poor, sweet Darkness of Extinction... he would have made a great leader. I feel bad..."

Miss Planner ignored the Head's warning and got a little too attached to a few of the Pit Razors on Orca Island before the show was over. The Eyes of Hatred, the Darkness of Extinction, and the Tears of Sorrow all died pitifully in the final moments of the Pit Razors' deadly game, and their deaths came as a complete shock. Miss Planner was still a little upset about it. She couldn't stop looking at their faces on her P.D.A. and sighing. They were all so talented. Such a waste...

"Well, we've got some time, then. Hey, how about one last dip in the pool?"
"Good idea. The water's absolutely pristine."

The girls set their empty glasses on their chairs and walked barefoot to the edge of the pool, dipping their toes in. The water was cool and it felt good against their skin after a hot day. The pair of psychics waded in up to their waists. Sunlight sparkled off the surface of the water in a blaze of shimmering rainbows.

"Hehe, this feels like a dream."
"Yeah. It's nice..."

The Knife Maniac was wearing a crimson red bikini with sleek black stripes. Her silver hair flowed down around her shoulders, glinting a bright, silvery white in the sun. The dark pink lines of countless scars crisscrossed the pale skin of her legs, arms, back, chest, neck, and face. Her tiny blonde friend was wearing a modest black two-piece swimsuit with white frills, somewhat resembling a maid's uniform. The two women lounged around in the pool, enjoying the gentle sway of the waves.

"I just wish it didn't have to end," murmured the Knife Maniac.
"Well, we're getting back into port in three hours..."

"Back to the rat race, right?"
"Rat race? No. Not at all. I find my work very fulfilling. I get to manage the most fascinating and gifted group of people in the entire world. I can't imagine doing anything else."

The Knife Maniac laughed. Her laughter was passionate and genuine, not at all like Miss Planner’s smug cackle.
"You're one of a kind, Miss Planner..."

The girls swam around for a while longer. Eventually, they got out, dried each other off, and tip-toed back to their chairs. The Knife Maniac plopped herself into her seat, sat up straight, and gave Miss Planner a contented smile.

"Do you want to go get something to eat? It would be a waste not to... all the food here's free," asked the Knife Maniac with a mischievous gleam in her eyes.
"Hm. I thought you'd never ask. What are you in the mood for?"

"Maybe something light? The cucumber salad's pretty good. And a nice cool lemonade... or grapefruit juice... or another cocktail..."
"Yeah. That sounds good. Let's go back to the room and change first. I don't know what I was thinking when I got this swimsuit. I look like a child."

"Oh, don't say that! You're cute! Cute! Oooh. Come here!"
"Hey, let me go... sheesh. We'll cuddle when we get back to the room, okay?"
