“Heroes and warriors… Welcome to the goddess games!”

The person who spoke those words was the goddess Rania. Nakimo saw her projection on a large monitor floating in the air.

Nakimo looked around and realized that he was in some kind of coliseum. While he couldn’t see any people, he could hears the sounds of cheers coming from the stands. It reminded him of the games that were played back in his home world when there was a global pandemic. The games of that time were played with empty stands and loud speakers playing sounds of cheering fans.

He looked around some more and saw three groups of three. There was a group of elven beauties, dwarf men, who were wearing some kind of armor, and lastly what he assumed to be demon folk. The demons had two males and one female.

They were all looking in his direction.

‘Why are they looking at me?’ he asked himself before the goddess spoke again

“Wasn’t that an amazing preview to the goddess games? What drama, what actions. Human's really know how to entertain, don’t you all agree?” she uttered

‘Wait… They all saw that? Does that mean everyone here knows my fighting style?’ he thought

“Fufufu… To dispel mana of that size, you really are something, hero of the humans.”

Queen Helen frowned at the goddess words, ‘Why is she revealing his secrets so easily?’ she asked herself. Up till now, everyone was under the impression he used some kind of advanced teleportation skill send that mana ball away. The truth, however, turned out to be more serious.

‘Ooooh… So that is how he did it. That ability is dangerous.’ The demon king thought

“To think that Delphi would hide such a wonderful unique skills at the bottom of the dungeon you were thrown into… what a twist of fate. The rejected hero, conquers an unbeatable dungeon and finds a unique cheat ability. You can’t make stuff like that up.” The goddess spoke.

‘Dungeons have cheat abilities hidden in them!?’

The demon king wasn’t the only one to think on those lines of thought. Queen Helen and other world leaders were all thinking the same thing.

The problem for the other races was the fact that 90 percent of all dungeons were on the human continent. A reality that disturbed the demon king.

“You are saying some unnecessary things.” Selma reprimanded Rania

“Oops… Looks like I got a bit too excited. Okay then… I usually favor hand to hand combat but considering the handicap the humans have how about this...” She uttered

There was a rumble in the coliseum, as the stone slab that Nakimo was standing on began to float up into the air. The other competitors also had their slabs float high into the sky.

As the competitors look around, more slabs began to gather in the air.

“The rules are simple...”

“Wait a minute!”

The person who interrupted the goddess was the demon girl.

“Eh? What is it?”

“Great goddess, the demon clan wishes to wager.”

“Oooh!?”

The reward for wining a goddess games was 2 billion MP, however, there was a system in place that allowed contestant to stake an equivalent amount of MP. This was the wager system.

The demons had often used this method in the hopes of gaining more mana in one goal. Once initiated, the other three clans were forced to match it or forfeit the match.

Humanity, that had barely any mana, were usually the only victims of this ploy. However, the other races also looked at it with disgust.

‘Tch… typical demons… Always causing problems.’ One of the elven beauties thought.

‘Their greed for mana makes our greed for minerals pale in comparison.’ A dwarf thought

“Okay… by my authority as game master, I approve the wager.”

<Alert: Dungeon Core Mana Has Been Taken>

“Eh?” Nakimo uttered in shock, however, it was the other contestants who were even more shocked.

‘The human is still here? Does that mean that humanity had 2 billion worth of mana?’ an elven beauty thought

‘You’re kidding, right? I was sure that the human would have been removed after they were unable to pay the wager. That is what the demon king told me.’ The demon girl thought.

The demon king himself showed a puzzled look when the human hero was not ejected from the games.

“How? Humanity shouldn’t have any mana left.” One of the demon kings aids uttered.

“Oh my… What makes you say such a terrifying thing? It seems that you demons t know a lot about us humans despite the lack of contact between our two races. Care to tell me how you came to such information.” Queen Helen asked

“That is…” The aid began to stumble under the glare of Queen Helen.

“Eleven adventurers, working for Dwarf traders often speak about the human continent when they make port here.” The demon king answered.

“I see… I guess such a possibility exists.” The Queen uttered before turning her focus back to games.

“The games will now begin. The rules are simple. Knock all your opponents to the ground. The last one to fall to the ground wins. Good luck.” She cheerfully said, before starting the game and breaking all transmission.

Selma sighed heavily.

“Is something the matter?” Rania asked with a puzzled look

“You do realize that they can all fly, right?”

“Eh?”

“You were hopping for one those, ‘knock the other person from their block battles, but that won’t work if you don’t ban the use of flight skills.”

“Ehhhh…”

“You should have kept to your original games. Making complex games is not your thing. Luckily, I am sure the contestants understand what you were trying to imply.”

“That wont do… I don’t want them looking down on me as a game master. Ahhh… I totally didn’t see that coming. I have to add that rule.”

“It’s too late… they have already began to move.” Delphi spoke

“Human… I will challenge your strength.” An elven beauty uttered as she charged at Nakimo.

She wasn’t the only one either. All the other competitors were all targeting him.

‘I wasn’t interested in this goddess game but the mana in the dungeon core was taken. I can’t get revenge without it… Furthermore, this killing intent I am sensing… Tch... There is no helping it...  I will have to take this seriously.’ He thought as the humanity watched on.

Nakimo would have found it laughable that the same people who treated like garbage where the same ones praying for his success, but he didn’t have time to think about that as the elven beauty closed in with her sword.
