While the test had ended, the training of the heroes was just beginning. The combat training as planned was supervised by those hired by the kingdom of Sigma. To train them and turn them as quickly as possible into competent heroes who could stand on their own two feet. They all had now all started a few days ago.

"Hold your sword better!" Peney shouted to Shawn as they both practiced.

The two exchanged multiple shots and with each mistake, Peney was quick to correct them. Again, they threw into new exchanges until the lesson was learned. While a blow to break his guard making him drop his sword.

"Your center of gravity is bad, raise your position to be able to parry the blows better. Look at my stance, feet anchored, posture straight for a perfect center of gravity and arms ready to take hits." Peney said, showing him.

Shawn picked up his sword and turned once again to face his instructor.

"In position!" He exclaimed.

Shawn then took the same position as Peney earlier. So he attacked, as Shawn's grip tightened on his sword.  Before finally crossing their swords, Shawn's arms nearly bent once more in the face of the attack. But finally managed to stop the attack of Peney, thanks to the position he had seen earlier.

"It's not very good yet, but it's a start.  Well our lesson is over for today, you do the program I gave you as usual."  (Peney)

After a few hours of sword swapping, Shawn had to repeat a very specific weight training program.  Established by Peney to effectively strengthen his body and increase his stats. On the other side of the field, everyone was training and had programs training of course also supervised by instructors.

"That's very good holy priestess, mastering her mana is a very important thing." (Jean)

Emma was practicing with Jean to master her elemental magic and control over her mana.  Rays of light came from her hands.

"Emma can you add two more?  One in your left hand and one in your right hand." (Jean)

"Yes, I think I can do it."  (Emma)

And 1 extra ray of light appeared in each of his hands.

"You are progressing very well holy priestess, you can now rest we are done for today." (Jean)

Méverick was facing Maximus and had just been sent violently on the ground by one of these blows.

"Well kid, is that all you got? Hit me harder, move faster, hurt me! Or I'll hurt you!" (Maximus)

Méverick then wiped the blood from the edge of his lips and hit Maximus as hard as he could. It was a very brutal hand-to-hand fight. But this was the way he taught and it didn't seem to bother Meverick.

Éléonore, Beth and Marine were casting multiple spells repeatedly.  Under the eyes and strict advice of Moïse. Who created multiple still and moving targets with his earth element. Éléonore was doing quite well with her spells and aiming correctly at the targets. While for Marine and Beth this exercise was still difficult for them.

"Beth, Marine you two will cast spells until you collapse from fatigue. And that you two have proper control of your mana and elements." He said sternly.

Peney had now moved on to Jay's apprenticeship. Again in the basics of swordplay. Maël and others were training alone under the program they had been given. Until an instructor came to supervise them individually or as a group.

"Boom!"

A large flame attack lit up the training ground. As a man with a sword and shield came out. Before he stopped several blades of wind, with his black and gold shield with a raven's head on it. It was the instructor Zem the paladin of the kingdom.

"These two are at it again." Said Moses nonchalantly.

While a sword came into contact with his shield.  That he pushed back without any difficulty with a smile on his face.

"Come on Maïli, again I know you are capable of much more!  But now it's my turn to attack! Smiled he of pleasure.

"Ooh shit!" Swore Maïli.

Zem without waiting send an attack of water, which propelled itself with an extraordinary speed towards Maïli. In immediate reaction she pulled out a basic iron shield and deployed her life shield skill. But without any difficulty she was sent several meters away. His skill broke immediately on impact, and she was now unable to move while lying on the ground.

"Well I guess today's lesson is over." He smiled.

Their training was not only based on their combat skills.  But also included a theoretical part with their dedicated teacher Marcou. Who every morning at the same time taught them the basic principles and workings of this world.

"Dungeons are largely structures with multiple rooms and stages containing monsters, traps, but also bosses. The dungeons are composed of several floors. The higher you go, the more difficult the monsters and environments become. The number of floors varies from dungeon to dungeon, but in general they contain 50 floors. There can be up to 3 bosses per dungeon in different floors. This is not systematic, you might run into 5 bosses for example.  But the most important thing to finish a dungeon is to beat the boss on the last floor." (Marcou)

"Are there different types or categories of dungeons?"  (Eva)

"Yes there are several:

- Classic dungeons with 50 floors as mentioned above.

- Mega-dungeons, dungeons with 100 floors.

- Labyrinth dungeons with one extremely large floor.

"Each dungeon is also classified according to a rank. Until today we still don't know everything about the dungeons, these are the only ones we have listed so far. And more precisely on this continent, because our continent is the only one known to date." (Marcou)

"But haven't you ever tried any explorations?" (Beth)

"We did try to make exploratory trips. But these trips never came to anything for several reasons. Our boats are not efficient enough. Not to mention the fact that we have to deal with the sea monsters and the weather, which at times is anything but kind. Some of the voyages resulted in the death of several crews and expensive boats." (Marcou)

"Their problem clearly resembles the problems of our historical period of the Middle Ages. At the time of the very first explorations, the maritime routes and the climatic conditions were unknown. And they left at certain times of the year, when the weather was very bad. Exposing ships and crews to the torments of the waves and extremely violent winds. There must also be areas where the monsters are much more present and virulent." Maïli thought while listening to the teacher.

Marcou continued his explanation as he began to show boat plans.

"They must also have fairly rudimentary boats from that time and lack tools such as the compass." (Maïli)

Maïli then observed the plans and could see that their boats still had oars. That the use and the number of sails were rudimentary with a hull not raised enough. To ensure a better navigation and to face the waves.

"No wonder he's having a hard time in maritime exploration." (Maïli)

As Professor Marcou finished his explanation of the boats, he returned to the theme of the dungeons.

"The dungeons that appear stimulate the activity of the monsters, even causing several phenomena at times:

- The evolution and mutation of monsters.

- The migration.

"What is migration?"  Marine asked intrigued.

"Migration is a phenomenon where watches gather in large numbers before moving on. And I don't need to tell you the great danger they represent." (Marcou)

"Is this the famous event the king told us about?" (Emma)

Yes the first disaster, but it wasn't a migration. It was a dungeon break!" Said Marcou in a serious tone.
