"Save me, please, I don't want to be a slave anymore." (Rabbit Girl)

"I... I...." Logan stammered realizing his hands were stained with blood.

"Help me... Help me!" Shouted the girl clutching onto Logan.

Blood covering his entire fur, his eyes slowly coming out of his sockets. His skin gradually tearing off revealing his flesh, his entrails and his bones, screaming at Logan.

"It's your fault! It's all your fault we're all dead!" (Bunny Girl)

From the beautiful rabbit girl's skin, there was almost nothing left but a skeleton while around Logan blood and bones were spread all around his feet.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry!" (Logan)

"Logan!" Came a voice.

"Ah, ahhhh, ahhhh." Logan sighed exhausted with sweat all over his face.

As Aria stood in front of him and just woke him up from a bad nightmare as he struggled to catch his breath.

"Are you okay?" (Aria)

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine don't worry about it." (Logan)

"You were talking in your sleep, that's what the guild master told you about the slaves." (Aria)

"Yes, they died because I let my emotions on the end get the better of me. And in wanting to do a good deed, I caused their untimely deaths." Said Logan as he lowered his head." (Logan)

Aria walked up to him and hugged her putting her head against his chest.

"Don't blame yourself too much, you couldn't have known, you just meant well." (Aria)

"Maybe but they're dead, I failed..." (Logan)

"So don't fail next time and Logan sometimes it's better to die than to live a life of servitude, I know that." (Aria)

"Can we stay like this for a few more moments?" Logan asked.

"As long as you need." Said Aria as she tenderly ran her hand through his hair.

They then stood there together for a while as the first rays of sunlight peeked through the window.

___________

In another place far away from this one and in the past, the rain was raging in a train station, the sounds of the trains could be heard on the tracks. Passengers were getting off the trains in a great hubbub, as the rain continued to hit the place where it was very cold. While small cries tried to make their way in this big place full of noise.

"Whoa, whoa!"

On the edge of this station a basket was lying on the ground while a child was crying without any passerby stopping. The child continued to cry for quite some time without stopping, then after several hours a man passed by and finally stopped by the child.

"How long have you been crying my child without anyone coming to your rescue." Said the saddened man.

He man in question was an old man dressed in black and white, a priest. He crouched down to get a better look at the child, holding out his finger, a finger that the child grasped, calming down little by little. His cries, which had been echoing for hours in this cold, damp place, finally stopped. The child then looked straight into the priest's eyes, the priest's eyes also looking into his. The priest was surprised and at the same time amazed because the child had different eyes, his eyes had a beautiful bright red color.

"Oh you are a very special child, you wouldn't happen to have horns and a tail." Said the man, laughing tenderly.

He then gently took the child from the basket that was wrapped in a blanket, before sticking it against him. And a paper fell from the same blanket, the priest picked it up and found words of farewell written on it.

[The name of this child is Logan, we did not want to abandon him and we are also writing this letter in a hurry. Due to some serious events we are forced to abandon him. Please take care of our child, he is unique and one of the most precious things to us. To you Logan I know that one day you will understand our choice, but know that we love you with all our heart."]

"Logan is your name my little one, your parents apparently could not take care of you anymore. But fortunately God has put you on my path, don't worry, from now on I will take care of you. Said tenderly the man taking him with him.

They both arrived in front of a big stone building, it was an orphanage. The man passed the door and many children were having fun, they saw the man and rushed to him.

"Father you're home!" Shouted the children with joy.

"What are you holding?" (Child)

"It's your new brother, I'm counting on you to take care of him."

"Look, his eyes are red!" (Child)

"Wow, it's true." Said the curious children.

As a good sister arrived near him, he then handed the child to her gently.

"Does he have a name, Father Cristian?" (Sister)

"Yes it's Logan." (Father Cristian)

"Where did you find him?" (Sister)

"At the train station with parting words his parents could no longer care for him." (Father Cristian)

"Oh, what a sadness, do not worry we will take care of you." She said, caressing the child.

She then took the child with her to give him a nice bath, while Logan was calm and now warm. This is how Logan's life began at the orphanage named Céléstia.

Céléstia was an orphanage run by the priest Cristian who founded it to provide for abandoned children in the city of Lyon, France. Living solely on charity and aid from the city. Logan grew up there in good company surrounded by the sisters, the other children, and the priest.

1 year of Logan

"Come on Logan, come on." Said Cristian watching Logan take his first steps.

As Logan took his first steps under the eyes of all the other older kids and sisters.

"Yes come on Logan!" (Children)

Logan finally reached after a few more uneven steps into Cristian's arms.

"Well done Logan!" Said Cristian very happy lifting the child under the shouts of the other children.

Logan laughed when he being carried in triumph by Cristian under the happy voices of the other orphans. The orphanage was a real place of peace for the children and after some time Logan then said his first words calling Cristian daddy. At that moment the man could only feel an immense happiness, even if he heard that a lot of times with all the children he took care of. It was still a unique moment.

Logan continued to grow with the other children as others came and went. All of the children were educated in the orphanage using volunteer teachers to ensure that the children's learning was never neglected. For Logan at this time, aged 3, this is the time when children become creative and able to concentrate.

Where they learn, colors, letters, shapes, the beginnings of writing, and learn to count. And Logan proved to be perfectly capable of absorbing all of these concepts without any problems. This impressed the teacher he was working with. And at the end of each year the teachers would report back to Cristian on each child.

The teacher who was in charge of Logan's group was called Jean François and today he was reporting. He had a folder with Logan's picture on it with all of his work and evaluations.

"Well now that we are done with Shawn we now come to Logan who you had already sold me on over the year." (Cristian)

"Well I will start with his behavior and there is nothing to complain about. Logan is a very calm and disciplined child and so far he has no problems with the other children." (Jean-François)

"What do you mean for the moment?" (Cristian)

"Well right now the other kids don't really look at the differences between them. But this will happen as he grows up and he will undoubtedly be teased or made fun of because of his eyes. This could also put some parents off adopting the child and at these times it will be necessary to accompany him. Because it can hurt to be excluded because of his differences and cause resentment." (Jean-François)

"I see thank you, I will try to anticipate this as best I can. Now about his first year of work?" (Cristian)

"Well Logan is a pretty unusual child, he has almost no learning problems. Letters, colors, numbers, he masters everything without any problem. I think it is necessary to make a program specially adapted for him because he is already able to do simple calculations at his age. If I had to consider this child by a word, the word genius would be perfectly appropriate." (Jean françois)

"Very well then I leave him under your wing and counting on you to keep him that way, without you of course forsaking the learning of the other children." (Cristian)

"Of course." (Jean-François)

The years then continued their course in Céléstia's orphanage.
