When Stairway to Love came out in theaters all over the country, many people flocked to the movie theater to watch Alec star in his first romance movie. They didn’t expect Alec to be a main character nor did they expect him to act so well!

As they watched him fall in love, get rejected by Alexis, and found his own love toward the end, everyone seemed to cry and love the movie.

The only thing they hated was that they couldn’t see who Alec, aka Raymond, ended up with. That open ending killed many people. A lot of people wanted closure and this was no closure, no they wanted more!

There were many theories because of the ambiguity of the shadow. Some said the person is male, some say it was female since he fell in love with Alexis. The very hopeful thought it was a nonbinary person! Some hoped he was bisexual. But no one wanted to tell them who it was! It wasn’t even in the credits. How could they be so cruel?

So many people continued to watch the movie just so that they could analyze the body structure of the shadow. In the end, 60% of viewers thought it was a man or someone that was non-binary, and the other 40% thought it was a female.

Alec saw thousands of comments from different websites that reviewed the movie and couldn’t help but smile when he saw them.

Director Eleanor and the producers were top quality, so it was no wonder that the movie came out great. He was glad he participated in this movie as his first romance movie.

“Still looking at comments?” Damien asked as he placed down their food on the table.

Alec thanked Damien for the food and then answered his question, “Yes, it makes me happy to see how people enjoyed the movie.”

“You did well in that movie. Everyone has been wondering if you have ever been in love before because your acting felt too real.”

“Too real, huh?”

He couldn’t help but think about his original world where he had fallen in love with a man who took everything from him. He took Alec’s dignity, freedom, his body, his friends, family, even his love. He left him with nothing.

“I know what it is like to love someone so much they take everything away from you. Even so, for some reason, I couldn’t leave.” Alec mumbled to himself as he took a bite out of his sandwich.

Damien wanted to hear more but when he saw the look on Alec’s face, a lump formed in his throat.

Who hurt Alec so much that he didn’t want to be in a relationship anymore?

After Stephan was put behind bars, Alec's acting career soared. With Stephan gone, more people were able to notice Alec's acting skills. He really shined, slowly losing his nickname, Dark Prince, and gaining a new one, Prince of Acting. Of course, that meant he had completed his side mission for becoming a first-class actor.

Years had passed since that incident and there were a couple of changes.

The first was that Alec starred in all kinds of movies from around the world and Damien stayed by his side. The two didn’t get married or officiate their “relationship” but everyone knew they were “together” because they were attached at the hip.

As for Kyle and Joshua, they ended up together and were about to get married.

Alec was in the dressing room helping Kyle fix his tie. Kyle was in a black suit, white dress shirt, and a red tie. He looked like a proper groom, his short curly hair was styled in a way to make it look tame, and his face was cleanly shaved. The man was extra handsome on this beautiful day.

"Are you nervous?" Alec asked to defuse the anxious atmosphere.

"I am a little nervous, but I am really happy," Kyle responded with a rare genuine smile on his face.

Staying by Kyle's side, he saw how much Kyle had grown as a human being. He went from the rookie rising star to a first-rate actor. He also calmed down a lot, but he still attracted people towards him. When he did smile, his smile was kinder and full of energy. All in all, Kyle grew into a handsome man.

“That’s good, I’m sure Joshua is happy as well.”

Hearing Joshua’s name, Kyle couldn’t help but smile.

But then, his happy expression turned serious and he grabbed Alec’s hands. He was worried about Alec. He had no troubles welcoming people to be his friend, but when it came to romantic love he would immediately step back. It was like Alec refused to love someone even if he felt something for someone.

“Hey Alec, be honest with me… you love Damien, right?”

“I… I can’t answer that.” Alec was a little surprised that Kyle brought it up but he knew it was about time. Alec and Damien were always together, lived together, and even went around the world with one another. If they were just friends, it would be a little different, but Damien followed him around, looking at him with gentle loving eyes. Everyone would have to be blind not to see the way Damien looked at Alec.

And how Alec looked at Damien even though he tried his best to deny his feelings.

“Alec, I don’t know what you've been through but I know you feel something for Damien, something more than just friends… That’s why, don’t give up on love, alright?” That was all he could say to Alec. Kyle couldn’t force his friend into a relationship or anything like that, but he couldn’t stand seeing Alec live in denial like this. It hurt his heart knowing that Alec wanted to love and be loved but he couldn’t allow himself to do so.

Alec’s eyes widened when he heard Kyle say that. It was just like the line in Stairway of Love, “Don’t give up on love.”

He thought it would be for the best if he did but he knew deep down that he wanted to love…

“Just think about it okay? Don’t rush yourself… Just know I will always love you because you are my best friend.” Kyle brought Alec into a hug. It was a bit long, but Alec felt Kyle’s warmth and his love.

“Thank you, Kyle.” Alec reciprocated the hug. “I will think about it.”

“Alright, now let’s go out there. The wedding is about to start.”

Alec should’ve been the one to remind Kyle but Kyle beat him to it.

They walked out of the room together but split ways when they got to the room where the ceremony was being held. Alec went into his position as the best man while Kyle met up with his father.

There were several others in the marriage hall. Most of the people there were close friends and family of the couple. Everyone was excited to finally be at the wedding of their loved ones. It was a joyful event where two loving people were expressing their love for the world.

Joshua was standing at the altar in a white suit, black dress shirt, and red tie. He had the biggest smile on his face and he nervously moved around in the same spot. Everyone could tell this man was excited for the wedding to start.

After the marriage officiant came in and had everyone settle down, the doors opened. The music came on, flowers were being thrown into the air, and cameras filmed the happy occasion.

Kyle's father, a handsome older man, held out his hand for his son to grab. He was one of Kyle's biggest allies (after Alec of course), but he truly loved his child no matter what.

Kyle happily accepted his father's hand and the two slowly walked down the aisle. Along the way, Kyle received many congratulations and blessings. After walking towards the end, he saw his groom with his best men and groomsmen on the side, as well as his own best men and groomsmen.

Alec, Kyle’s best man, smiled happily and waved. Alec was in total bliss at the moment watching his best friend walking to his groom. Such a sweet sight.

Once Kyle stood next to Joshua, the marriage officiant started the wedding: "We come here today to welcome Kyle and Joshua to a new step in their journey, but also their new journey together. Today is only just the beginning for this lovely couple and fate will be the only one to tell them where their paths will lead.

"Love is such a mysterious feeling. In every culture, in every society, love has different meanings. As with love in general, love can be associated with many things, but today we celebrate a love that can bring happiness, pain, joy, sorrow, weakness, honesty, trust, and vulnerability. It will be a long journey and there are no promises for only happiness. But the two must come together to overcome conflicts and problems and find the solutions together.

"Love isn't just feelings, but it is a commitment. The two must put effort into love to keep it together and keep it strong. It will be a challenge, but this couple has decided to accept this challenge together."

Alec was thoroughly moved by the marriage officiant's speech. He couldn’t help but look over at Damien who was standing at the seat on Kyle's side. Damien saw him looking at him, and smiled. It was a smile that pierced through his soul, leaving nothing but a warm feeling. Still, did he really deserve that love? Should he not give up on love and just accept Damien?

He returned the smile and then looked over at Kyle. Kyle's eyes were brimming with love for his partner. Joshua had the same emotions. They were ready to live their life together for the rest of their days.

"Kyle, you may say your vows."

Kyle nodded and then grabbed Joshua's hands. He looked at Joshua's beautiful brown eyes. "Joshua, at first I was annoyed with your crazy attempts to chase me."

This made the audience chuckle and playfully gasp.

"But as we spent time together, I slowly fell harder and harder for you. Your personality, your quirks, your imperfections, your perfections, your beliefs, values, and dreams; I love everything about you and all that makes up you. I love you so much. I want to spend every day together by your side. I want to grow with you, learn with you, love with you, and grow old together with you. I want to spend more than just eternity with you.

"I vow to stand by your side, forever, in sickness and in health, rich or poor, happy or sad, even when death tries to do us part, I will always be by your side."

His voice was deep but gentle. Soothing to the ears and soul. Everyone could tell by his warm words that he was overflowing with love and affection.

A few people couldn't help but "aww" at the vow.

It was Joshua’s turn.

"Kyle, it took so long for you to notice me. When we met at university, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you. You were the type of person who was nice to everyone. You were very cheerful, happy, and a good friend. You are my first love, and hopefully, you will forever be my last.

"I vow that I will be there for you, from now on until the end of time. In sickness and in health, rich and poor, happy or sad, even as death do us part, I vow today that I will walk my journey alongside you."

It was just too cute for Alec not to say "aww." He quickly covered his mouth because he knew that was definitely too out of character. People wanted to chuckle but it was rude so they stifled it.

After the vows, it came to the best part.

"Alright, you two can now kiss each other to seal your vows!"

To everyone's shock, Kyle lifted Joshua up and gave him a big kiss. Joshua, who was startled by the unplanned lift, still happily kissed his new husband.

It was a new beginning and the start of a happy life for the new married couple.
