When Grey came to, he found himself leaning on a chair, taking a nap. He felt a splitting headache and his vision blurring.

"Hey, had a nightmare? You still have time to nap." A voice called out to him. The man was next to him. He could smell that he was drinking coffee.

"Alright." Grey quickly responded before closing his eyes.

'System, please send me the world plot, but you are going to have to read it to me. My head hurts...'

[Understood. Grey, in this world, you are in the body of the male protagonist of the story, Myles Kelliher. This world is based on a novel and has turned into an independent and functional world. Anyway, Myles is a homicide detective at a police department in a large city. He had been working on cases for over 10 years, but there was one case that had changed and ended his life. It was a serial killer case that went from local to nationwide. It was a path of deaths and the city he worked in was the end of the path.

[With the help of the Government's Agents, they tried to figure out who, or what kind of human, would do something so cruel. However, they never found out who was the culprit behind so many killings across the country. It still made the unknown man the worst serial killer in the country's history.

[Though there are no love interests in this story, the villain did win in the end. He was never found even though he had killed more than 50 people as he traveled across the country. With Myles' disappearance, he stopped his killings, making millions of people theorize as to why that was so.]

'Now that I think about it, we have been in at least two worlds that were created by an author/editor, but what’s the difference between this and other worlds that have a world plot created by the Gods?’

[There are 3 ways that worlds are formed. The first and most common way is for worlds to be created by Gods. These worlds are relatively stable and usually don't lead to the total destruction of the world. I say usually as there are some worlds that become abandoned and once the world plot plays out a few times, the world and all its souls perish. Usually, the System and Hosts prevent that from happening though, and then it turns into the second kind of world. It is a world that is free from influences and doesn't have a world plot any longer. It will also have a natural death of the world and the souls would be pushed into the reincarnation sea to flow into other worlds. Though there are times when Gods decide they want to adopt the world. Most of the time, though, Gods will create different plots and recognize different Favorite Children to stump Hosts and Systems and maintain their power. Though some “children” will be sacrificed along the way.

[Finally, the third world is one created by an "author." These worlds are created once in a while, but when they are created, the worlds are highly unstable. In these types of worlds, the main plot is repeated over and over again until the world cannot handle it anymore, and then it destroys itself. Systems and Hosts are asked to go into these worlds and are made to stop the recycling of the plot.]

It made sense to him but at the same time, it made him feel a bit on edge. Unstable worlds were the worst to go into and were especially high risk. The world plots were annoying as well. Hosts had tough jobs.

As someone who had suffered in the Villain System, it was shocking to see so many worlds where the "villains" won in the end. He was only able to be the villains who suffered while he was in the Villain System. It was strange to be the main character but then die by the villain's hand. And it was upsetting that this villain had killed so many innocent people. Even though Grey had killed many people through the thousands of years he had been alive, it was all for survival. He had to do this to survive... He wondered why this man had killed so many people.

[Grey, here are your missions:

[Main Mission: Do not die at the hands of the Serial Killer

Side Mission: Find and detain the Serial Killer

Side Mission: Complete 5 other Cases]

This was the first time Grey was told not to die no matter what. Especially in the hands of someone else... The Serial Killer was a powerful person if the Main Mission stated it like so.

'System, can you tell me about my body's condition right now.'

When he came into the world, his vision was blurry, his head hurt, and he felt so exhausted he wanted to fall over and die somewhere. It was a horrible feeling. Not as bad as the world where he was a Trans man, but it was still painful.

[Answering Grey, Myles’ eyesight is naturally bad. He is nearsighted with astigmatism in both eyes. Also, he hasn’t slept for 2 days and drank an unhealthy amount of coffee to keep himself awake. He stayed up because of the three murders that just happened.]

It was no wonder Grey was so exhausted. He just wanted to go home and curl up in bed and sleep for the next 3 days.

'How many people did the Serial Killer kill after this point until Myles’ disappearance?'

[He had killed 7 more people before he got to Myles.]

That was a lot but also not a lot considering Myles was the last one to either disappear or be murdered by the Serial Killer.

Grey couldn't be too careless this time around. He has died in a C-rank world, twice, though for different reasons. Since this was a B-ranked world, he knew he had to be extra careful. He also had to worry about the world hindering him every step of the way.

Somehow, he felt grateful that he wasn't suddenly thrown into an S-ranked world. He couldn't imagine what an S-ranked world would be like.

[Grey, do not worry too much. You have God System with you in every world.]

System 225 was right. His man was waiting for him in every world. He wanted to save God System and be with him. He had to do everything he could to survive.

He took a deep breath before giving a large exhale. He vowed to stay alive and make sure that Myles had a happy ending.

After talking a little bit more with System 225, he decided to finally get some sleep. Even though he didn't have a lot of time to sleep, it was better than staying awake.

Lille: On to a new world!!!

GrandpaMarky: Sorry this one is short XD and I'm a little late. I hope you enjoy this arc! It was really fun to write :D Also, I don't know how many people read the NSFW extra before this chapter but all I gotta say is, sorry I'm not very good at writing smut. I need more practice XD. Anyway, I will see you all next week (unless my ko-fi goal gets filled up haha).
