Grey and Noah walked away from the dining room and headed toward the entrance of the main castle. They were walking side by side, taking their time as they strolled through the halls. They didn’t have anyone guiding them, but they didn’t get lost.

None of the servants or nearby officials wanted to escort them out. These people worked in the castle all day every day. If someone reported to Queen Meredith or Consort Ceanna about their kindness toward Prince Ameer and Prince Noah, their heads would be cut off.

The only person who would be brave enough to stop Prince Ameer and Prince Noah was…

The new Prime Minister didn’t care much about the Royal Family in the first place.

“Prince Ameer, Prince Noah, it is a pleasure to finally meet your highnesses.” The Prime Minister, Duke Dean Glemont gave a polite bow, but it wasn’t flattering at all.

Dean Glemont had black hair and green eyes. He was wearing small and thin, gold oval-shaped glasses that suited his face. It made him look intelligent. He wore a nobleman’s outfit, but it had a lot more decorations than the one Noah and Ameer were wearing. The decorations were gold, and they had a combination of white and green colors.

He looked more like a prince than Ameer and Noah.

If Grey didn’t see the world plot, he would have no idea who this man was, but he knew. This was the Prime Minister, the one who killed not only Ameer, but Noah, Abner, and Hartley.

This man was most likely his husband, God System.

“Prime Minister Glemont, it’s an honor to finally meet you as well.” He gave a quick bow before holding out his hand.

Just looking at Dean made him feel like it was God System, but he would like a confirmation. God System could be anyone from the main character to a supporting character to even an unimportant background character. As long as the body was powerful, the body would be able to house God System.

If he was actually wrong and this man wasn’t his husband, then he would probably leave the man alone and maintain an appropriate distance. Make sure they got along superficially so he doesn’t die…

Grey and Dean shook hands, sending the familiar tingling sensation up his arm. It was his God System.

He finally met his husband! It was annoying that he was the main protagonist of this world though…

This main protagonist did kill the original Ameer and his closest allies. Grey didn’t get a lot of information about Prime Minister Dean Glemont. He only knew that Dean would lead a revolution during Ameer’s time as the Tyrant King.

The original Dean was a calculative man, one who did not like to be in the limelight. He preferred to be in the shadows, pushing others into the spotlight as he controlled everything from behind the scenes. This man also had a very secretive nature and was highly paranoid. He had to have everything in his control. If he didn’t, he wouldn’t hesitate to kill whatever or whoever was stopping him.

The two of them paused in their handshake, as though the whole world had stopped the moment they touched. Even so, Grey was the first to break their moment.

“Well, we must get going, Prime Minister Glemont. Please, excuse us.” Grey let go of Dean’s hand and motioned at Noah to get going.

They had more things to do.

Dean reluctantly let go, but he understood. He pushed his glasses up to pretend that he was unaffected by Grey. “I understand, Prince Ameer. I hope the two of us can meet again soon.”

He then looked at Prince Noah. “It was a pleasure to meet you, Prince Noah.”

“The pleasure is mine,” Noah said while looking at Dean in interest.

It was the first time Noah saw Grey being affected by someone. He could tell from the slight change in the atmosphere around him. It felt like Grey’s vigilance went down when he met Dean.

When Grey and Noah left the castle, Noah was finally able to ask Grey the question that was on his mind. “Ameer, is Prime Minister Dean a person worth trusting?”

“Yeah, and I’m sure he will be on our side,” Grey answered with an all-knowing smile.

He could already see the gears spinning in God System’s head. Even though he had things to do, Grey knew that the two of them would team up in the future to make him King…

“I don’t understand where you get that confidence from but I trust you. You are smarter than me, so I won’t question it. I just hope that this man won’t betray us in the future.”

Noah was a simple man who thought about fighting and Ameer all the time. He chose to fight to stay by Ameer’s side. He saw a future, a better future, for the two of them in Ameer’s vision.

“Thank you for always believing in me, Noah.” Grey couldn’t help but smile and pat his little brother’s head.

“In time, I will create a country where the two of us could live freely under the sun. We will no longer have to gravel beneath the feet of the wicked. Then, we will have justice for our mothers who were innocent women pushed into the mess called the Royal Family…”

Noah saw Grey’s smile and felt that his brother could do everything and anything that he wanted to do. It was a feeling of awe and worship, almost like he was looking at a God that had descended upon him.

From that moment forward, the little bit of doubt in his own existence disappeared. It was replaced with the confidence Grey had for him and their future.

After lunch with Queen Meredith and Consort Ceanna, Grey and Noah went back to the White Lily Mansion and took a nap. When they woke up, it was already dinner time.

Noah and Grey ate after their nap. Abner and Hartley were sent out by Ameer to do a little more research with mages and alchemists. A lot of them were in large towers, filled with all sorts of information. They were tasked to find anything related to Ameer’s curse there. They had his seal, so they were given access.

They didn’t find anything, so they refocused on the two hidden pathways found in Consort Ceanna’s office and Queen Meredith’s garden.

They decided to use the hidden door in the main castle as their entrance and the hidden door in the garden as the exit. Queen Meredith’s castle was closer to the White Lily Mansion, so leaving from there to make it back to their base was their best bet.

They also decided to use the next couple of days to finish scouting the main castle as well as Queen Meredith’s castle. Grey wanted comprehensive notes indicating the guards’ and servants’ schedules each night. He wanted to make sure they could get to and from the hidden doors as quickly as possible.

The quicker they got this done, the sooner Grey could get rid of this curse. In the meantime, he knew the Queen’s and Consort Ceanna’s guards were up after his threat.

From his guess, he knew that those two would be meeting up in the secret passageway. He already had System 505 and Arisa put a tracker on them.

It would be a lot easier if System 225 came back. For now, though, he had to make do with what he had.

*****

After Dean met with Grey, he locked himself in his office. He banned everyone from coming in. He pulled the curtains on his window before finally feeling at peace.

There were a lot of thoughts going through his head.

For the past couple of months, he had been getting dreams of previous worlds he had been in with Grey. His memories were practically all there, but he still didn’t understand why he was jumping from world to world with his forever husband, Grey.

He saw Grey do all sorts of things in each world. Some were easier than others. From an actor to fighting the Gods, he had done so much. And each time, he was there with Grey.

The moment he saw Ameer, he knew it was his lover, Grey, in that body. There was no doubt about it. He also knew that Grey knew of his existence in this body.

For now, though, they could not be together. He didn’t know what Grey’s goals were, but whatever they were, even if he wanted to conquer the whole world, he would help him.

Dean stood at his desk, unsure of what to do next. Should he wait for the next encounter? Should he take the opportunity to reach out? No, he couldn’t reach out on his own. The Queen and Consort Ceanna were staring at him, trying to rope him onto their side.

As the Prime Minister, he and his ancestors had always been neutral. They didn’t take part in any civil or palace wars. It didn’t matter who became King. Only vowing that they would be loyal to the throne.

Well, he didn’t mind breaking that tradition for his husband though.

kuro_kama: This must be the most late appearance of God system out of all the arcs yet.

God system in the backstage waiting for his cue: have grown moulds on body from waiting.jpg

Grandpa Marky: To be honest, God System isn't like super important which is why he sometimes shows up a little late XD Grey has shit to do and he can't just sit around waiting for his husband to finally show up ahaha. Also, yall, my life is a fucking MESS. now I feel like most online authors just have the crappiest life left and right getting sick or just life shit happening all the time. You know that friend who always has shit going on in their life and it seems they can't have a break? I'm the damn friend. After two mental breakdowns, sobbing at my desk because I've been in so much pain and I can't do shit... I come to find out I have to drop out of college at the end of this semester because I can't afford it anymore LOL. Anyway, on to the next chapter where I will rant about it.
