With System 225’s help, Grey was finally able to get information on what the outside of XU239 city looked like. It didn’t look that different from the inside of the city, but it did have a lot more trees. Also, there weren’t any other populations of people for miles. There was only a single long stretch of road that came from XU239 to a spacecraft dock in the far distance.

Unlike the cars of XU239 that hovered slightly above the road, those spacecrafts could leave the planet and travel through space.

This detail made escaping a little bit more complicated, especially since there were hundreds of people living in this city. Packing them all up in spacecrafts would not work well, so his cooperation with the Dawn family had to work…

Well, his Plan B would be taking over the city and all of its resources. He had run a country before, running a city wouldn’t be too hard, but this would take some time and people may die in the process.

As for what he needed Cyan to do, it was quite simple yet one of the most important parts of the plan. Without him, he may fail, so they had to be prepared for the worst…

Grey didn’t want to live in this dystopian society any longer, so he initiated the plan the day before the weekend came around.

That day, Cyan came to work with a special USB. This USB just needed to be inserted into one of the computers in the City Hall, and then it would be absorbed into the main system.

From there, Grey would be able to bypass the monitoring on his devices, shut off any cameras and mics, and most importantly, get into the interstellar’s communication systems. Then, System 225 would be able to set up a communication call with the head of the Dawn family, Elio Dawn.

Cyan, as usual, walked into the building unhindered. He sat at his desk and stealthily put the USB into his computer. He watched the USB get absorbed into his PC unit and disappear completely.

Once the USB was absorbed, System 225 got to work.

The system got everything ready while Cyan and Grey were at work. To avoid alerting anyone, Cyan and Grey went through their day without deviating from the norm.

When they got home, System 225 changed the monitoring devices in their home to play a day-to-day loop of their home. They didn’t need to worry about anyone noticing something off about them.

The two didn’t change out of their clothes but sat on the couch in front of the holographic TV that was going to be used as their communication screen. The TV could be used to connect into the interstellar network, allowing them to see everything that was happening in the interstellar world.

“Initiate forced communication with Marshal Elio Dawn.”

[Understood, connecting to Marshal Elio Dawn’s terminal in 3… 2… 1… complete. Call successful.]

On the TV, Marshal Elio’s face popped up. Luckily, he was in his office and not in a meeting or at the training grounds.

There was no look of shock on his face, but he was expressionless and cold.

“Connecting to my terminal and disabling the end call button, you have gone to great lengths to see me.”

Marshal Elio looked to the side to signal Kai from interfering. He did, however, order him to figure out how this was possible and where these people were calling him from.

“I apologize for doing this, Marshal Dawn, but this is the only way we will be able to contact you since you will not be able to contact us at the moment.” He would need to take over XU239 before anyone could contact the outside world and vice versa.

“Oh, may I have your names before you continue? I would like to know who I am speaking to first.”

“Of course. My name is Valen and this is my Alpha husband, Cyan. No need to introduce yourself, we already know everything about you, Marshal Elio.”

Marshal Elio nodded at them to allow Grey to continue talking. It was the first time seeing this Omega, but he was much more beautiful than the other Omegas he had seen in the Federation or the Empire. Unfortunately, he was already married. Even Cyan did not lose to him in terms of appearance…

“We are contacting you from XU239, a city on planet XU003, under the Seore family.”

Elio immediately knew that this was one of the planets with an indigenous population on it. As for how Valen and Cyan were able to contact him, that was a mystery he would not be able to solve.

Grey did all the talking because Cyan didn’t have all the information as he did.

“We are hoping to cooperate with you, to liberate the people of not only XU239 but the other cities that are being enslaved by the Seore family.”

“And what can you offer us in exchange for this cooperation?” He was not going to do this for free. Plus, there were a lot of risks involved if he went in blindly to save these people.

“All the incriminating evidence that you need to get rid of the Seore family. As they say, the enemy of my enemy is my friend. We hope that with this information, you will be able to help us. I guarantee you, with my life, that the information that I have in my hands will be of use to you. I will send everything to you if you agree.”

Elio paused, his finger tapping his desk to weigh all of the options. “And if I refuse?”

“Well, it would be unfortunate, but not the end of the world. I would just have to go with plan B instead. I wouldn’t go into this offer without a backup plan just in case this fails.

“Seeing as you are skeptical, allow me to end this conversation here. Since you do not want to help, that is fine by me.”

Before Grey could tell System 225 to end the call, Elio stopped him.

“Wait. I never said I wouldn’t take up this offer. Don’t act rashly.”

“I just don’t want this conversation to waste our time any further.”

And Marshal Elio thought he was impatient.

However, it was all a part of Grey’s plan to get the other person to accept the cooperation.

“I will send you a contract to make sure both of us are protected for the duration of our cooperation. After both of us sign the document, multiple copies will be made. I will send one to you, to myself, and to my aide, Kai. This document does not allow for alterations after it is signed. If any party violates the contract, they must pay for the damages. If they can’t, they will be sued using legal methods according to the standards of the Federation.”

System 225 explained the type of contract that Marshal Elio was talking about and how they would prevent fraud. This was all in Grey’s head, but he was able to register both of their explanations at the same time.

“Understood. We will sign the document on call since we cannot bring a witness or a notary over here.”

While they were talking, Kai wrote up the contract. Before he could ask how to send it, System 225 hijacked Kai’s terminal and sent it over to Grey.

“I have received the contract. Allow me to read what it says to make sure I have the right one.”

“First, Party A must help Party B liberate the enslaved indigenous people under the Seore family. In return, Party B will send the incriminating evidence as soon as this contract is signed.

“Second, Party B must attend the planning that Party A will host. This planning will take place after the information has been given by Party B.

Many clauses later…

“Lastly, if Party A or B does not uphold their end of the contract, the other is allowed to take legal action under the laws of the Federation.”

Then there was an empty space for them to not only add some conditions but also sign their name.

Grey and Elio negotiated for a while longer before they both signed the contract at the same time. They signed three of the same contracts and sent them back and forth.

After that, Grey requested System 225 to send all the important information they were able to get. Everything about the day-to-day lives of the people of XU239 was omitted.

The information was sent directly to Elio. It was encrypted if anyone else tried to open it.

“In one hour, contact me again so that we can go over a plan. Do not be late.”

“Of course, happy cooperation, Marshal Dawn.”

They said their goodbyes and System 225 hung up.

“Whew. Now that that’s over, Cyan, let’s eat and wash up. This will be a long day.”

Cyan, who was silent the entire time, nodded. Seeing Grey stand head to head with a Marshal was a sight to see. He felt that Grey looked particularly handsome doing so, so he didn’t mind just watching.

The two quickly ate something for dinner, washed up, and got into more comfortable clothing. After an hour passed, System 225 immediately connected Grey and Cyan to Marshal Elio’s terminal.

kuro_kama: Grey and Elio discussing such an important matter that is connected to hundreds and thousands of lives, and then there is God System just simping over his husband!

Grandpa Marky: Y'all, my life is a mess. Remember how I had that MRI? Well, at first, I learned that the lesion was a benign "cyst." Cysts, especially internally, are noncancerous growths with unknown contents LOL. That's good and all right? Well, not really for me. I was told because of the location of the cyst, I should get surgery to remove it because if it turned cancerous or if it continued to grow, I would have terribly complicated and expensive health problems later on. It's right behind my left lung, close to my heart, and right next to my spine. It's the size of a quarter right now but imagine if that grows... Not pretty. I also would like to get it taken out but that would mean surgery. Yeah, fun news. I will keep y'all posted cuz I have to talk to a surgeon about the whole game plan.

Anyway, that's it from me. See y'all next week! Have a lovely day/night my beautiful grandchildren :D
