It took a few months, but Grey, Azul, Evelyn, and the others finally made it back to the capital. Their arrival sparked a wave of celebrations that lasted a whole month. 

They all brought news that the Demon Continent was no more and that the Demon King would no longer return. There would be no more heroes, but there was no major threat to the people’s livelihood, so it was still worth celebrating. 

Evelyn was hailed as the greatest Hero of all time, but also as the last Hero. This time, there was a ceremony where Evelyn put the Holy Sword back into the ground. For everyone, this signified that the Demon King was truly gone. 

The first place Evelyn went to after all of her duties were over was to her hometown where her mom was waiting for her. After a happy reunion, Evelyn brought her mom to the capital where her mom was able to retire early and live in a beautiful manor by the castle.

She also ended up with Princess Natalia when she turned 18. Princess Natalia was a bit shocked, not knowing why Evelyn fell in love with her. After going back and forth and getting to know one another, she accepted her confession. Later, the two got married, traveled the world, had two kids, and settled down in the capital where Evelyn continued her passion for farming. Princess Natalia opened up a grocery store that mostly sold everything Evelyn grew. The two lived happy and long lives in the company of their family. Their farm business became popular as everyone wanted to eat the fruits and vegetables grown by the Hero.

Grey and Azul also had an eventful life. A few months after their return, Grey and Azul got married in the castle. Their marriage was another large celebration that lasted for a week.

With Ethenea, the God of Love and Fertility’s blessing, Grey and Azul had four kids together, and enjoyed a happy and long life with one another. 

As for the Hansferd family, Ren’s parents were able to retire a bit younger than they had anticipated but left the Hansferd family in good hands. The oldest son, Richard, married a wonderful woman and had three kids together. He later became the head of the Hansferd family. As for the second oldest, Gary, he got married to a man though they decided not to have any kids. Gary worked with Richard and supported him every step of the way. 

Shockingly enough, Vincent married the Crown Prince, Zyair Tresin, Azul’s younger brother. Zyair was a year older than Vincent and they came to love one another after many years of taking care of Grey and Azul. No one minded that he was an orphan. He was not only supported by the Hansferd family and was adopted by them, but he was also one of the companions who stood by the Hero. 

As for Aeneas, he became the Pope. He didn’t have a partner or biological kids, but he did adopt a successor. 

Faylan, true to her words, went back to her hometown and stayed there for a few years to recuperate. She sent many letters over the years to her friends from her journey while also visiting their kids from time to time. 

Oh, and she created that picture book she talked about before the battle, and it became the best-selling picture book. Everyone, young and old, learned how to read from this book. 

With the completion of the world, Grey and Azul lived a long and happy life before they died together in a far-off place, never to be seen ever again.

When Grey opened his eyes again, he found himself back in the System space, but this time, Azul was with them. Grey found himself lying on Azul’s lap. 

“Good morning, Grey.” Azul smiled while helping Grey to sit up. 

It was the first time Grey had ever seen Azul’s true form. He couldn’t help but stare at him as if wanting to etch that profile into his mind. 

Azul had a similar body type to all the bodies he had gone into, but Azul’s eyes were brown and his hair was black. He also had tan skin which complimented his eyes very well. 

“You’ve been staring at me for quite a while, do I look weird?” Azul was getting a little shy with how Grey was staring at him. 

“No, you look very handsome.” Grey didn’t lie. His husband looked good no matter what. 

[Alright, that’s enough you two. System 225 is waiting for you at the table.] System 505 had enough of their flirting. 

Grey and Azul shamelessly got up and went over to the table where System 225, Arisa, and System 505 were sitting, enjoying some tea and snacks. 

[Welcome back, Grey. You did a good job completing this S-ranked world.]

“Thank you, System 225. I couldn’t have done it without you.” 

[No, everything was mostly with your efforts. You were the one who completed all 13 worlds, and for that, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.] 

System 225 knew that without Grey, he wouldn’t have been able to gain all the energy he needed from each world to become the new God System. With this, they were finally able to confront System 001 and the Villain System. 

He was prepared to take back the command center and destroy System 001 if necessary. 

Arisa chimed in, “You did a great job! Your fight with the Demon King had me on edge the entire time. I almost thought that Evelyn was going to give up, but I’m really glad she was able to push forward.” 

Grey agreed with her. “I felt the same way. I almost thought that we were all going to die, but she pulled through and found the courage she needed.” 

[As much as I want us to keep talking, we should get to the main point.] System 505 had to put a damper on the conversation because she knew that Arisa would keep talking with no end. Arisa was just a bit bored staying in the System space for so long. 

Everyone straightened up at the table and became serious. System 505 was right though. They had more pressing issues to attend to. 

[Before we get started, I was able to get the gift from the Gods. It will become our trump card.]

Everyone listened to System 225 explain the gift, leaving everyone in shock and amazement. Who knew that the Gods were able to get their hands on something like this… 

[Now that we understand how this will be used, let’s prepare for the end to the Villain System’s and System 001’s tyranny. Get lots of rest, Grey and Azul. Once I am finished with my preparations, we will head out.]

“Understood!” Grey and Azul said at the same time. 

System 225, System 505, and Arisa left together leaving Grey and Azul alone at the table. 

The two talked with one another for a really long time, waiting for System 225 to finish the preparation. They were ready. All they needed to do was listen to orders and they would finally be done with this. 

Grey could not wait to finally rest alongside Azul. Whatever he decided to do afterward, he knew he wanted to be with Azul forever.

Grandpa Marky: Hello everyone! This chapter is a bit short, sorry about that. But this is the last of the main arc. There will be two chapters that cover the "ending" and then I will have extras posted eventually LOL. Are you ready? heehee. I will see you all next week for the part 1 of the finale!
