Neidr sat in a culvert, shivering. His torn clothes barely able to guard him from the wind and the rain. Blood pours from large gashes in his flesh. Hordes of soldiers marched up and down the street hunting, not another sound was heard in the night aside from the stamping of boots and the downpour of rain. Neidr gripped his knees and rocked back and forth to calm his mind. Somewhere, somehow, everything had gone wrong. Neidr closed his eyes and tried to remember what had happened to him. He had to figure out what his mistakes were. Barely audible within the torrent of sounds, he whispered,

"Arrogance," His thoughts took him back to when he had just left the arena after killing the prince. He had imagined that the royals would not take swift action, but as soon as he started to travel back to his room... They followed him. Just as he started to unlock his door, they pierced a blade into his back. They took him by surprise and had the chance to kill him, but they didn't. Maybe they wanted him to suffer a little, Neidr didn't know. He knew they would come for him, but so quickly, would it not look suspicious? Chaos and fear took hold of his senses, there were three of them behind him, and he knew he couldn't beat three people, especially just after losing his energy in that last fight. His animal senses took over, and he broke through his door, foolishly hoping that he could hide in his room. Back to the present, Neidr sighed and spoke once more,

"I forgot about the opinions of others." As soon as he broke into his room, a noxious green gas burst forth into the hallway. Just a whiff and Neidr understood what this was. Neidr rapidly covered his face and held his breath, he rushed out through the hallway towards the portal leading to Rotham whilst his pursuers coughed and hacked up their lungs, before finally collapsing on the ground. Just as an alarm started to blare, a wretched screeching voice echoed behind him,

"Neidr! Am I not good enough? You want to be with Azalea instead!? Is she so much better than me?!"[Arrieta]Rapid footsteps followed behind him, she had apparently misunderstood his participation in the tournament, he couldn't speak now though, as the sleeping gas that she prepared still encompassed him. If all of this wasn't bad enough, the voice of Zalar echoed through the building,

"Students and faculty, be warned! Student Neidr Hyll orchestrated the death of the prince and detonated a weapon in his room in order to escape, he is now a fugitive!" Neidr frowned deeply, 'Did Zalar plan this? How? This is wrong, it's all wrong wrong wrong!' Arrieta's voice echoed behind him,

"Hear that? You should come with me, you can live on my farm with my father! You can no longer stay in noble society." [Arrieta] Hearing this line, something within Neidr's mind snapped, he rushed back and slammed his fist into Arrieta's gut, sending her flying onto the ground. Neidr immediately dashed forward, he used the last of his magical capacity to continuously teleport himself towards the portal. The more magic he used, the more it felt like his head was going to explode. Blood started to leak out of his eyes and pores and his vision turned into a blur.

As Neidr entered to portal room, Liam and Amber were there to meet him. Amber had tears streaking down her face and anger in her eyes, and Liam's face was black as ink. He screamed,

"Neidr you bastard! What Professor Zalar said was true! I knew you were up to something! You let all those people die just to kill the prince?! I knew you were bad, but this?!" Neidr rolled his eyes, he didn't have time for this. Amber followed suit,

"Why did you kill my brother!?" Her mournful voice filled the room, and countless footsteps approached this place from all directions. Neidr did not have a lot of time.

Neidr snarled, and fired the last of his magic at Amber, encompassing her with ice shards, Liam's face changed from scorn to dread as he leaped in front of the shards to protect her. What happened next, Neidr couldn't see, he teleported straight to the streets of Rotham. However, they were expecting him. Twenty guards filled the square. Just as they spotted him, he drove a knife into the throat of the first man he saw. Then, a sword jabbed through right below his lung. The young guard tried to pull the blade out, but it was caught. Neidr flipped around and drove his thumbs into the guard's eyes. The guard screamed in pain. The other guards, ready to pounce, hesitated for a moment, Neidr immediately ran forwards holding a knife in each hand and charging forward. A guard held up his sword, ready to skewer Neidr as soon as he reached the alley, but Neidr was no longer thinking.

He jumped on the blade like a rabid beast, impaling himself through the shoulder. Neidr drove both knives into the chest of the soldier and trampled him on his way out. A voice shouted out as it began to drizzle,

"CATCH THE BASTARD!" The sounds of boots rushed after Neidr, but Neidr had already yanked out the swords, impaling him. He threw them with abandon towards his pursuers, and the teleportation array began to light up again. As the soldiers tried to dodge the blades, they lost sight of Neidr. He slinked his way into the city and quickly crawled into a tight culvert. Neidr drew his knives and bared his teeth, prepared for them to come upon him at any time, but they never did. Back to the present, Neidr felt his body getting colder as guards marched through the streets looking for him.

"Was everything I did wrong?"
