"Congratulations on your 20th success, keep it up and one day you'll be able to live peacefully". Old lady Shetani started to laugh into her hand after saying this and I took it as my cue to leave. Grabbing the envelope filled with enough berries to get by until the next job I stood up and started heading towards the door, I was about to open it before the Old lady spoke again

"Take this as a gift for your continued successes." After saying that the Old lady threw a rolled-up newspaper my way that had one piece of paper sticking out slightly in the middle. Catching the paper I then nodded to her before opening the door and making my way back to my home before reading what's written on it

"Welcome home." As soon as I opened the front door my little sister came running up to me and started to hug my leg, rubbing her head with a smile forming on my face. I responded in our usual greeting.

"I'm home, have you been studying any of the books I got for you?" Nodding her head, my little sister then proceeded to talk about the books I had gotten for her while pulling me towards an old couch before forcing me to sit down. Although I like to call it studying, they're all just fantasy picture books I "found" whilst finishing up my jobs.

"And then Nolan went to the execution stand with a smile on her face still talking about how the city of gold was real and he wasn't a liar". Looking at the beaming smile on my little sister's face while she talked about someone's execution I didn't quite know what to feel.

"What do you like so much about that story?" Deciding to try and change the subject from the ending I asked her hoping she didn't mention his execution.

"The city of gold! If we could find it then we wouldn't have to worry about money and I'd be able to spend more time with you." I wanted to cry after she said this with such an innocent smile on her face, but not wanting to show her any weakness I decided to just pull her into a hug and start patting her head so that she couldn't see my face.

"Don't worry about things like that too much. Although I'd rather spend my time with you, my job has been able to change our lives for the better''. Hugging her a little tighter before letting go, causing her to pout her mouth a little I couldn't help but chuckle at how spoiled she likes to act around me before remembering what I had got earlier.

'Let's see what this "Gift" is supposed to be' Thinking about what the old lady had given me I unrolled the newspaper to find the loose piece of paper in the middle. But once I read what was on the paper I tensed, freezing in place causing my little sister to worry about me and forcefully shake me out of my daze.

"What's wrong sis?" Looking down at the concern-riddled face of the girl who was grabbing onto my arm with both her hands I was able to fully regain my senses before assuring her everything was ok by rubbing her head with a smile on my face.

"Just some surprising news, Don't worry about it, I was just shocked for a moment." This seemed to spark her curiosity as she kept asking me what it was and it took me a while to convince her that it was a surprise and I couldn't tell her what was so shocking or it would ruin it for her. After she finally calmed down and seemed convinced, she started to stretch her arms over her head and yawn lazily so I laid her down in bed for a nap as I  headed to prepare dinner for us.

However, the only thing that filled my mind the entire time all this was happening was what I had read on that paper. 'Looking for any information on a teenage green-haired girl with brown eyes around age 14 and her 6-year-old kid sister who has aquamarine hair and dark blue eyes. Both are suspected to live in the North West corner of the North Blue and be orphans in a lower-income area. Anyone who can bring information about their current location that proves to be reliable will be rewarded with 5,000,000 berries.'

'Although it's vague there is no doubt that the two people that are being searched for are my little sister and me. There's only one reason anyone would go out of their way to put such an absurd bounty on us. But the only people who know about my ability are my little sister who would never talk about it and old lady Shetani but she needs my power too much to let others know about it.

After being concerned about this matter for a little longer I shook my head and stopped thinking about it any further after deciding what to do. 'It doesn't matter, I'll just get rid of anyone who tries to uproot our current life. I've done too much to get us to the point of being able to sleep safely and eat every day, I'd rather die fighting than see ourselves back in our old situation.'

Making up my mind I then started to complain about how I'll have to keep a low profile and not let my little sister or myself be seen by anyone in public for a while.

(Emma POV)

During my conversation with Mom before she was thinking about the devil fruit she's hunting, she determined that one of the devil fruits that the sisters possessed grows naturally only in this part of the sea in the North Blue while the other one she's hunting needs a climate only found in the grand line. I thought devil fruits reincarnated at the nearest fruit but it turns out that specific abilities are tied to specific fruits and in our case, we need to find areas that something called a PawPaw fruit could grow.

This was one of the better outcomes for us as we had to go to the far northwest of the North Blue already to find swallow island and intercept the other member of our crew that hails from this sea. So we're gradually making our way there while stopping at every island we have mapped and our family goes back generations so the maps are extremely detailed.

"Another island and another miss, at this rate we're going to have to visit every island on the way to Swallow Island and maybe even after at. If only we could get other people to help us in the search." Complaining this out loud stopped both Robin and Mom in their tracks before the both of them like they choreographed it facepalmed and then Robin spoke.

"Why didn't we have that idea before, placing a bounty out for information on the two could have helped us so much." Then Mom continued.

"We might have already found them if we put a couple of million berri as the reward, that little amount is a lot in the four great seas." Nodding her head to Mom's words, Robin then looked at me and complimented me.

"Good job, I didn't think your brain could do anything except make plans to tease me but I stand corrected." I was a little shocked at her words so I had to defend myself but after thinking about my past actions for a minute I decided to agree but not entirely let her off the hook for that low-key jab at my intelligence.

"Although most of my thoughts are indeed about how to turn you into a Red Robin, that doesn't mean I can't use my brain for more important matters. I just don't need to, with you normally being around me." This got the blush out of Robin I wanted to see but she quickly realized what I had done with the goading smile I now had plastered on my face causing her to purse her lips at me but seeing my smile widen at that she finally decided to just give up and continue speaking.

"We've been at this for almost over half a year now and most islands in the lower west side have been visited by us, soon we'll have to leave for Swallow island so why don't we put out the reward for information at the next island we stop at."

"What do you suppose we say we are looking for". Mom asked Robin after hearing her idea and thinking about it for a minute.

"Emma at least knows what they look like and how old they should be so why don't we just write descriptions based on what we know about them and then offer the reward to anyone whose information is true," Robin replied

"And what if the information we get turns out to be fake?" Looking at Robin with a questioning smile Mom countered, Causing Robin to form a smirk before answering.

"Your observation haki should be strong enough to detect emotions so you'll know if they're lying or not". This caused Mom to hold her sides and double over in laughter before slowly recovering and complimenting Robin on her Idea and then accepting it.

"Very smart, use what you have at your disposal and in this case that happens to be me, your lessons have come along amazingly." Rubbing Robin's head with a proud expression Mom then went to prepare the ship to set sail.

(Nico Robin POV)

"Give us all your belongings or we'll take them and you by force." Looking at the group of people in front of us it was clear that none of them knew how to fight and relied on their cheap weapons and trying to outnumber us to steal the reward money.

I couldn't help but shake my head and sigh, causing the leader of this group to get angry and stretch his arm towards me aiming for my collar. But before he had the chance to grab me he suddenly got slammed into the ground with enough force to shatter all his bones making him go limp and blood start pouring from his body. Then I heard Emma's shaking voice.

"I just killed someone…. I didn't think it would happen this soon." Looking at Emma who was now in a daze while absentmindedly staring at the bloodied corpse laying on the ground I immediately went to hug her ignoring the confused screams coming from the crew of the person who just died.

"It's ok, you did it to protect me, don't thin-." Before I had the chance to soothe her, one of the crew members drew his gun, pointed it at Emma, and shot. However, before the bullet even had the chance to even leave the barrel Geina appeared in between us and was squashing the tip of the gun with a Haki-clad hand, and then spoke.

"I leave them alone for a total of 2 minutes so that I can go get us some food and not even halfway there I find myself having to rush back because I felt my daughter's emotions go out of control. And when I come back I find this scene." pausing for a second to look the group in the eyes causing them to noticeably shiver Geina then continued with a tone colder than ice.

"Don't think any of you have a chance at leaving here alive." After saying this Geina disappeared from where she was and one by one starting with the guy who fired their gun appeared behind the now terrified and confused crew snapping their necks until no one was left standing.

Once she was done she rushed up to Emma and also hugged her, this caused me to get out of my stupor from the scene I just witnessed and focus my attention back on Emma. "If you want to blame someone for this then blame me, I could have reacted to him faster and you wou-"

However, before I could continue my sentence Emma put her hand over my mouth and stopped me from talking before speaking. "No, It's not your fault at all, I just got angry for a second after what that man said and then once he went to grab you I lost control and used almost all my strength before I realized what I was doing."

Stopping for a minute to catch her breath and calm her shaking voice she then continued. "I knew I was going to have to take my first life eventually, I just really wasn't expecting to until we visited Skypiea. Let me just sort out my thoughts for a little while, I'll be on the ship in case either of you needs me."

Saying all this Emma then returned to the ship on legs that if one paid close attention could see were wobbling. "This is all my fault, I didn't want either of you to have to do anything like this until you were more mentally prepared for it. I never thought that someone would try to rob the both of you in the few minutes I would be away."

Sighing while looking at the retreating figure of Emma, Geina then continued. "Although I normally don't like to give him credit if Gauge were here right now and not tracking down a Germa ship then none of this would have happened".

Turning to look at me Geina said with concern clear on her face. "Go and comfort her, although she normally likes to be left alone with her emotions I still think it would be best if you were by her side right now".

"Wouldn't it be better if her Mom were to be with her right now? You always seem to know what to do in these situations." This question caused Geina to laugh slightly before pointing at the group of now dead pirates.

"I have to go and deal with that mess, who knows one of them might have a bounty and we'll get some compensation for our troubles. Besides, something tells me she would rather have you around in a situation like this."

Although I didn't want to agree with that, after thinking about it for a few moments I realized what she meant and my face turned hot for a second before I turned away from the smiling Geina and then rushed after Emma.

(A/N - I'm not subscribing to the theory that devil fruits just reincarnate in the nearest fruit but the one that devil fruits are reincarnated in a specific fruit each time, that will make the story easier for me to write with what I have planned without making gathering fruits to easy)
