When Rose and the others woke up, the battle for the Camp had already concluded and everything was stabilizing in the Camp.

The ordinary workers prepared themselves for the next work day, while the guards prepared for their high intensity training exercises. The upper level management were adjusting themselves according to their new leader, while the Guild members prepared to rest their weary souls.

Floriana too had rushed too abruptly when it came to her son and wanted to rest for a while.

That was when the door to her new room was knocked twice, as a voice rang through the door.

[Um, mom? Are you awake right now?]

A delighted expression came upon Floriana's face as she straightened out her clothes and went to open the door.

As she looked on the other side of the door, she found her son waiting for her as he quickly hugged her tightly right there.

[Mom.. I really missed you a lot. I'm really glad that you came]

Floriana smiled happily as she rustled Adrian's hair and spoke,

[Of course I would. Don't think that your Mother is a weak woman anymore.]

She separated from Adrian a bit as she spoke,

[I received the medicine that was sent from you and I am happy to tell how well it worked!]

[Now there is hardly anyone in the Camp that cannot fight. The best of my disciples are now active again. All thanks to you, my dear son. You made your mother very proud of you.]

Adrian was enjoying the warm hug a lot as the woman that he secretly masturbated to was so near him again. She truly was his ideal woman.

[It was nothing mom. How is the Guild nowadays? Are things there better than before?]

Floriana grabbed Adrian's hands as she brought him inside the room and closed the door. She sat down on the bed nearby and made Adrian sit beside her.

[Yes, the things are a lot better now. We reclaimed a lot of our lost territories and no other group dares to mess with us so easily.]

Adrian nodded to himself as he sighed in relief. The Guild's deteriorating situation was one of the primary reasons that Adrian had decided to leave and now that everything was becoming better, he couldn't help but be happy about his fellow Guild members.

A serious expression dawned upon Adrian's face, as he turned towards Floriana and spoke,

[Mom, there is something I urgently want to talk to you about.]

Floriana became surprised by the sudden change in Adrian's expression, as her own mood became serious as she asked,

[What is it? Did anyone bother you somehow? Just tell me once. I will rip their heads off!]

Knowing that his mother may begin to rampage soon, Adrian quickly waved his hands in denial and spoke,

[N-No, mother.. i-it's not about that. I received some disturbing news about the kingdom. The Demons have started to invade the lands of the Humans and are preparing their base of operations there.]

Floriana's brows creased a bit as she tried to understand the implications of this information.

[So.. where did you hear this from? This place is a bit away from the Demon's territory. And if you know about this, then the upper echelons of the kingdom would know about it as well.]

Adrian grabbed Floriana's hands within his own as he looked at her in the eyes and spoke,

[Mom, I rescued a dark elf recently. She wanted to inform the humans about the events. I think that we must plan ahead and prepare ourselves. It's better to be prepared and guarded than being caught unprepared.]

Floriana hugged her arms as she pondered upon the issue in silence.

[That makes sense. I recall that recently the king of this country gave an edict to have all the available adventurers and mercenaries for an assignment.]

[How clever... he plans to use up the forces non-allied to him. Not only would this prove useful for scouting purposes against the Demons without harming the National Army and the Imperial Guards, it would also make him the sole remaining powerhouse in the Nation. His rule would become stabilized with his own powers and then, he would let the other nations deal with the Demons while he cries and begs for more forces.]

[But, this certainly affects the plan that I have in mind...]

Adrian became surprised upon hearing Floriana's analysis and asked,

[What plan Mom? Is our Camp going to be involved in the call for arms summon? Zendra once told me that the Camp has semi-autonomy due to the fact that it also acts as the arms of the King.]

Floriana stood up as she grabbed her full length coat nearby and draped it upon herself. She walked towards the door and opened it to leave, before turning back once to look at Adrian.

[Don't worry Son. I am here. I will see how we would deal with this issue. Ah, right. Did Emma speak to you about something?]

Adrian tilted his head in confusion as he replied,

[Umm.. she only asked to travel along with us.. Is something wrong?]

Floriana shook her head in amusement, as she looked at Adrian once, after which she closed the door and left towards the Conference room.

(...it seems that I won't be getting any sleep tonight...)
