The Townlet

Tales tell of a distant land, a land of monkeys that have evolved instead of humans. Actually humans never saw life in these lands, nor did they exist...or did they? These apes lived in societies similar to humans well if humans existed that is. Our story starts in a small village of these primates, a rather scrappy looking village but a village nevertheless. It consisted of multiple houses made of bamboo and thatch, eight houses which each varied in form and size, some being bigger and wider whilst others stood tall but were shorter in total in fact other than that there was a wooden manor which overlooked the village from the top of hill that rose in the middle of the village

The village itself was seated in lush grasslands with only little tree-like vegetation making it a very good place to build a village as the ground was pretty Symmetrical. To get a better picture of the entire location...well the area was mostly flat land apart from said hill with the manor this hill was strangely the only hill for miles as well, other notable things about this village was a river that ran through it with two other houses being at the other side. To the southwest of the village there was a forest which extended as far as the eye could see. Meanwhile to the north one could see a lake in which many of the monkeys yearly went for a swim. Situated to the north east there were the mountains.

The monkey village of hamir

There was a ruckus going on in the village, a young lad or what looked like a young person ran through the village, quickly being chased by a elderly individual. This elderly sure did have some speed to them as they kept up with the young one very easily and threatened to catch up. Just in that moment the young one threw a banana peel at the elder, this made the older person waste precious time dodging the unlikely projectile

Oi you won't get away with that you rascal!”

The elder had said in a raspy voice. The scene was one of two monkeys chasing each other, the reason being a stolen fruit from the other's dinner plate. Both of them were dressed in leather pants and did look quite civilised for someone who was an ape. As the chase continued the younger one continued to stick out its tongue before excitedly and cheerfully shouting

“Catch me, catch me, catch me!”

It seemed that the young thought of this as only a game and the chase continued with it using its tail to swing itself on top of the house to further gain some distance. Among the ruckus another pair of primates stood, these two where at a stall with the first one seemingly wanting to motivate the other to purchase something. Himself being the shop keeper of this stall. What exactly was sold? Well bananas of course! The only stable currency besides coins! A banana bundle could be compared to a worth of 50 coins, these coins were even called banana coins. The whole village was alive being people walking around minding their day as usual, children playing or even travelers and farmers who went into the forest to gather bananas for the day. Another notable figure was a druid who oversaw the forest but they never showed themselves as much.

Shifting our attention elsewhere, to the manor to be exact it stood silent or was it? Deep inside of said place there were loud crackling sounds of electricity. Standing tall there was another monkey like the ones outside yet totally different. The ones outside were a brown colour and looked like any other. This one here however had a bluish colour and it also had a pair of silver goggles. Its expression was one of pure madness as it stood in front of an operating table. It cackled monologuing in a deep voice

“The time has come that I Emile Cronsworth pronounced E- mile and Cron- s- worth revive one of Monkeymanites arch nemesis’ss s s cough cough...the world will tremble in front of the revival of them ha ha haaa they will truely  all tremble in fear for the improvments I have made!”

Having said that, the blue monkey coughed a couple of times more before shaking its head. Then with a determined grin it set its plans into motion, upon the surgery table there rested a innocent red deflated balloon or so it seemed, it was pretty roughed up and was partly patched up having a singular band aid on it. The ape known as E- mile then grabbed a air pump and started its gruesome work attaching the pump to the balloon, starting to pump the moment it was attached. The thing he was pumping into the balloon was not air nor helium but a strange gas Bloontonium that gave off a red light. After having pumped up the balloon a loud bang could be heard as Emile was flung against the wall, knocking him out immediately. A shadow now loomed over Emiles unconscious body as the room became filled by a crimson red light

‘A long time ago there was a war between the Monkeys and the so-called Bloons. It waged on for centuries, until the monkeys finally made a breakthrough. Through their effective resistance they managed to withstand the Bloons long enough to develop an all powerful weapon they called ‘Chemical B’ of course that was not its actual name but the primates called it that for its sheer effectiveness against the bloons. It made them all dissolve into nothingness if they were to come into contact with the gas. This marked the turning tide of the war, a war in which the bloons before were at an advantage because of their never ending numbers. From slamm bloons to massive Zeppelins. Before, neither dart nor nuclear weapons could only do as much as slow down their march forward. In the present day...50 years later...the world had recovered slowly. The most damage was actually done by the apes themselves because of their use of terrain damaging weapons to better combat the enemy. As such toxic waste was present in some parts, however over the last years it was cleared away using magic and such to better the ecosystem’

...

I awoke to a strange feeling that came from my chest or heart. I could not say for sure as my vision was currently blinded. I remembered falling asleep at my workplace, someone was shouting at me it was all a blur. Is this a dream? I can’t see anything. Only this red light. Trying to feel around myself I was met with nothingness. It seemed like I was elevated or suspended in the air as wind or a different sort of gas or fumes were rushing past me. It felt like maybe hours or months that I was in this state...maybe years. Finally something did happen, something or someone was pumping me full of energy it was almost as if I had drunk coffee...then I could finally see and I was blown away by what I saw
