And thats not ominous at all.  Glad I didn't do more than get into a slight daze to focus on enjoying a daydream.

I shouldn't be able to hear that inside the shelter.

I sit up, and peer outside the alcove I was rested in.

The kid from earlier was sleeping in the lower bunk I nabbed a blanket from.

Everyone was asleep, not even faking, but the deep sleep of the truly innocent.

Hmm, hmhm, hmmhmmhmhm~

Color me concerned.

I slipped outta my alcove stealthily, and nudged the clever brat I bartered with.

Hmm, hmhm, hmmhmmhmhm~

No response.

I uncovered the brat and threw em over my shoulder.  Seems too clever to let em rot.

I grabbed what was left of the groceries too.  Always good to have food.

I glance over at the shelter entrance, and then over to where the emergency exit just in case should be.
