- AN UNAVOIDABLE FATE - 

- ( A soaked land and rumbling skies, the mist dyed in red, and puddles made of blood, the cries of crow, and the cries of war. In the midst of unending battle, a  boy bathing in blood can be seen aimlessly wandering the dreadful land,  

- A CHANCE AFTER THE END - 

- ( Midnight in shibuya crossing, flood of crowds goin on their own ways,  cars rumbling and the flash of lights that comes from the towering buildings of shibuya,) 

- a man with a ragged hair and sunken eyes in a suit smoking as he walk the streets of shibuya. ) 

- (Waiting at the crossing) Hikaru, 27, a salaryman, just like any other guy you would see in a city or anywhere else, working 50 hours a week. With a secured income, for him, there's really nothing much to aspire for. 

- So he thought, maybe its for good that he died that day. ( at that moment, hikaru, while crossing got hit by a truck and died. ) 

- In a dark endless sea, Hikaru felt  as if he's sinking more and more into the deep void, "so this is death" he said, reminiscing his past life, there he thought he could've done more, as he was filled with regrets, he felt that as if his soul is fading away and returning to nothingness . 

- But to his surprise, Hikaru opened his eyes and the rush of different foreign senses, emotions, memories combined with shock and confusion flowed thru his mind. Together with an unknown figure speaking to him in a foreign tongue, Hikaru though confused have an idea on what is goin on, as he was trying to figure his situation, he is suddenly strucked by tiredness, sleepiness, and eventually passed out.

- He woke up again but in a older body, though a toddler, he is in a much more capable body now. Its much better than being in a body of a baby he thought. he now understands the situation he is in, though the thought that he's still  alive makes him smile he composed himself and decides to observe the situation more for a while. 

- As the time passed, he learned that now, he is a young boy named Luc in what appears to be a medieval rural village named "Paulm Agnus", he have  a brother named "Bel" which is a year older than him, and Along with their parents, "Miri" their mother and "Ruvir" their father. 

- In Luc's days helping around the house, Luc helps their mother everyday do the the cleaning and assist in cooking, he likes to observe  their father while he manage their crops and little livestock they have, If he's not helping his mother or his father, Luc, humor the antics of his brother who like to mess a lot. 

- Luc likes to roam around the village along with his brother, Luc greets the residents and observe  while his brother plays with the other kids in town. 

- In his ventures around the village he discovered that the villagers and their own parents uses magic like abilities to help with the chores, the farm and livestock. 

- Their father "Ruvir" can materialise water out of air, he can also feed the crops natural mana for better and faster growth. Their mother on the other hand have a heightened endurance against exhaust and ability  that appears to be telepathic which enables their mother to feel the overall physical or mental state of those around her

- Their parents told them that these abilities are blessing by God to help ease everyone's burden in life. "Everyone have a unique ability of their own" their father said, and when they are ready to receive one of their own, blessing will rain down from heaven giving them the ability they need the most. 

-  This is why every week with their family, along with the other residents of the village, go to the nearest church and express gratitude for the blessings of abilities and protection they received. 

- Especially in these times...

- A BITE OF REALITY - 

-  "Paulm Agnus" the village where Luc and his family spends their everyday lives together with the other villagers in peace, like the other villages in these region they are provided by protection and support by the church. 

- Unfortunately, church is not always absolute...

- Far from the village settlements, in the North Eastern region, though bright as day, a faint sound of rain could always be heard, a stream of carriages will travel here making their way to the far north, following the sound. 

- As  carriages got closer and closer the gentle hum turns to faint sounds of screams and clashing of shield and swords, What awaits at the end is nothing like rain, but an unending war.

- The battle cry, endless incantations, and blades clashing could be heard day and night... the unending battle stained the air red and dyed the skies with blood, the mountain of bodies created by the war releases a smell that makes anyone vomit as soon as the odor reaches their nose even from afar. 

- truly, a lullaby of death that shakes the heart, such an unfortunate song to dance to...

- every day knights of the church goes to these horrible place knowing that they will never comback alive, the gruelling conditions in these battlefield makes any man's nose bleed and deaf thier ears, cladded in armor they stand their ground and scream to the top of their lungs until they breathe their last. 

- they fight this endless battle just to keep peace in father's land. Remembering the smile of their love ones... and what those smiles will turn to if any of those who oppose faith in the other side makes it past the frontlines. 

- the frontlines are a standstill battle with both sides in a stalemate, faithful fighting faithless, halting the advance of opposing force, using any means to tilt the balance, but both sides are locked in  unending struggle, so much so that a single mistake from any side will change the tide of war. 

- but now the battle ensuing for years is about to change, today the scale will tip over and the frontlines will fall.

- End of Peace - 

- in the middle of the night, neigh and trotting of horses are heard, the residents of  Paulm agnus though sound asleep are alerted and quickly stand on their guard, as unknown intruders may have come. 

- the chief of the village peek and realized these are not intruders, but rather, the order of knights, he quickly opened his door and introduced himself, he bowed and asked the knights what are their business in the village. 

- the captain of the order step up and ordered the chief to gather the residents in the village square  and prepare to evacuate the village immediately. 

- though he wanted to ask why, the chief didn't dare to question the knight no more, with the knight's piercing gaze, there's no telling what may happen if he did so. 

- like the other residents, Luc's family quickly packed their belongings only taking important and valuable possessions, as theres no telling when they will return. 

- as the residents gathered, the chief of village  step up, drenched in sweat with shivering voice he announced that they will permanently evacuate and abandoned the village. 

- upon hearing the news the residents couldn't hold their voice and speak among themselves asking why, they are gathered in the middle of night, asked to evacuate and now that they are told permanently to abandone their homes a wave of questions arised from the crowd. 

- the chief told the crowd to appease themselves as one of captains of the order of holy knights Sir Mercy are here to tell them the full extent of the situation. 

- but even the presence of captain of a knight order didn't silenced the crowd,  " the frontlines...", the residents fall into silence, the moment Sir Mercy spoke, not single one uttered another word.     

- Luc wondering what frontlines are asked his father. Ruvir, though hesitant answered his son, only to describe the frontlines in few words "a battlefield locked in an endless war and keeps the piece in our lands". 

- though vague, Luc quickly realised the weight of  the message to be announced. 

- Sir Mercy  without further adieu announced that the frontlines had fallen...

- the residents are speechless  to what they just heard, silent delirium strucked them, unable to process the situation they stood there silently. 

- Sir Mercy then continued and say that along with other orders, they are tasked to evacuate the villages that will be affected of the fall and escort them to safety, if the order in charge assured the safety of the residents, they are ordered to follow and participate in restoring the frontlines immediately. 

- Chief of the village couldn't help but wonder why the frontlines fall, his curious mind couldn't help but asked Sir Mercy what happened.

- But the knight captain stared not saying a single word, the chief quickly retracts his question, realising that its not a subject to be discussed and will not further interrupt. 

- as the captain's final amends, the residents are given last chance to check their belongings and do any unfinished business they have until they are ready to depart. 

- Luc's family returned to their home to get more of their belongings before they leave, Miri took some leftover bread, fruits, and milk so their family could have a meal before they depart and  Ruvir  readied a carriage so he could carry the livestocks and carry the harvest he got from his crops. 

- While Luc helps in packing, his brother, Bel, is sitting outside with his eyes staring afar, he stared at Bel and felt the melancholy his brother is sure to be feeling at that time, leaving the house they grew up in such a short notice, will break anyone's heart. 

- Luc decides to go and console his brother and maybe give him a word of advice, Luc tried to sneak up on Bel but Bel noticed him effortlessly, Bel couldn't help but laughed, his gloomy brother is trying to cheer him up. 

- But Bel assured Luc there is nothing to worry about, It is the elder brother's duty to protect, rather than worrying about him  he declared that he will protect Luc instead, as this is the duty only he could do. 

- "Make sure that I could rely on that" Luc said, though he know that his brother is just putting a facade, but he acknowledged that Bel will step up as his as his brother when the time of need comes. 

- FAREWELL TO THE VILLAGE OF BEGINNING - 

- As soon as the residents finished packing  they quickly departed and started their  en masse retreat escorted by the knights. 

- They aim to move farther inland to escape further away from the frontlines, they will travel and take refuge in a designated shelter by the church. 

- though unsure of their future, the people hope to safely get through the affair, they pray for the better future that is sure to come, richer days than the  rich past.
