"Gasp"

The faery pushed herself from the bed and planted her back firmly to the headboard. She seemed to be hyperventilating as her arms flailed around her defensively. It took a while for her to notice that nothing was attacking her and that she was sitting on a bed. She slowly took a breath and looked around her.

Unlike her village, the room was made from light brown planks. The design was rather unique and couldn't even compare to anything she's seen in the mortal realm. Not only that, on either side of her were white drapes that covered huge portions of the room. At front, several beds could be seen with drapes separating each one of them.

She then stared at herself and saw that she was clothed in what appeared to be a long white robe that covered her entire body. She ran her hand along the cloth and was surprised from feeling a silky smooth texture. Never had she felt such cloth before considering that the clothes her village made rough to the touch.

"Ah, you're finally awake."

The faery looked towards the voice. A beautiful green skinned woman appeared. She also wore a white robe with a blue drape that was held together with a black leather belt. She also wore a small blue hat that matched her blue leggings. She also had black boots that seemed to have fur that insulated her feet.

The faery was instantly wary of her visitor, yet she didn't do anything as she felt no hostility from the person. Seeing this, the dryad kept her smile as she approached the figure.

"Seeing that your finally awake, I need to ask you a couple of questions first ok?"

The faery remained silent but the dryad proceeded to ask anyway.

"Can you tell me your name? Where were you born? When's your birthday? Do you know what day it is?"

The dryad kept asking on and on, yet the only reply she got was a wary stare. The dryad sighed.

"I know you've been through a lot if what the patrol team said was true, but I need you to understand that you'll be safe here. I just need to get a couple of information about you and from there we'll take good care of you as best as we could, ok?"

Normally, the faery would have been even more wary. In her world, good deeds from the mortal realm was false. They did it for their own personal gains and always resulted in her kind in death's embrace or slavery. But the faery couldn't help but nod to the figures request as she felt the pure mana that emanated from the figure. The dryad smiled.

"Ok, now. Tell me your name."

"Iiayda, daughter of the village chief Tiberon."

"Ok, race?"

"... faery."

From their, the conversation went smoothly as Iiayda told the dryad everything she needed to know. The dryad then began to check the faery for any problem but found her healthy. All of her wounds were healing properly and quickly due to the dense mana around them. Though, the dryad couldn't help but think that the reason for that was the faery's neighbor.

"Alright Iiayda, if you need anything just feel free to pull on the line ok. I'll be right back to check on you later."

The faery nodded as the dryad gave a her a bow before sliding the drape close to her small clothed room. The faery was mesmerized by her current predicament. She's never seen anything like it and felt oddly out of place. She began opening and closing her arms, then wiggled her toes. She then began to move her body in many ways and found that her body had recovered.

Even as a living spirit, her recovery surprised her. Normally with the thrashing she took, it would take a whole week to recover. Yet here she was, a couple of days in with her entire body nearing its full recovery. It was here that she noticed the rather high mana concentration she felt from beside her. It beckoned for her and in a trance, she slowly floated from her bed and opened the drapes to the room to her side.

There, she saw the figure of a girl with furry white ears. She was a beautiful girl even when compared to those of Iiayda's village but it was the warmth that she emanated that attracted Iiayda to her. Before she knew it, she had already climbed into the bed and snuggled towards the girl.

"It's warm..."

Those were the last things she said before completely falling asleep.

Three figures stood in place at the sight in front of them. Currently, Ferizia was snuggled in her bed. Her slow breathing was cute to watch and would have made the three figures swoon in place. It was the addition of the small girl that she was hugging that made them freeze in place. It was quite a cute image to see, but...

"... they don't... know each other... right?"

Irene asked in a confused tone.

"As far as I know. No. Rather, the nearest faery colony should be several hundred miles away from here."

Arian replied, not sure in how to feel about the scene in front of her.

"If that's the case, the chances of Ferizia meeting someone from the race should be less than five percent right?"

"Yep."

"So, why is it that a faery is currently hugging our beloved priestess right now?"

Lina asked in a quiet but exasperated tone.

"The hell should I know. I may be a goddess, but ever since I got to this world, I've been questioning a lot of things myself."

Truly, Arian no longer understood the logic of this world. Unlike the previous worlds she's worked with, Ferizia's appearance had totally changed the fundamentals of this world. At this point, she completely understood that the world is suffering what she liked to name, the hero syndrome. Long explanation short, it was the worlds way of nurturing a sole champion to help preserve itself from outside forces. As Arian was deep in her thoughts, Irene had moved closer to the fairy and began poking the girl's cheek. The figure squirmed a bit before burying herself deeper into Ferizia's chest.

"Putting that aside, shouldn't we separate the two. As adorable as it looks, a complete stranger is hugging your daughter."

"... yeah. We probably should."

They carefully extracted Iiayda from Ferizia and placed her back in her room. From there, they waited for Ferizia to awaken as the girl had been sleeping the whole day to recover from her 'lesson.' An hour later, Ferizia finally woke up. She loudly yawned and began to stretch her body. She felt oddly good today and she felt that she can take on the world.

She then noticed the three figures in front of her.

"Hey mum, Lina, Irene. What'd I miss?"

The three smiled. Arian then began to recount the full day with stories of the dryads hard work and the normal happenings around the temple. They then asked how she was feeling to which she replied that she felt better than ever.

"Uh huh? So I'm sure that you wouldn't mind having another training spar right?"

"Ughhhhh... my stomach hurts."

Ferizia bent over and grabbed her stomach in mocked pain. The three couldn't help but laugh which then made Ferizia laugh. After the laughing session, Arian then told her about the creature. Ferizia couldn't help but blankly stare at Arian. She then sighed.

"Well, I supposed it's fine... plus, once I get strong enough, I'm going to kick its ass anyway."

The three wryly smiled at the demonic smile that Ferizia had. Then, Lina popped a question asking if she knew any faery. Ferizia tilted her head in confusion.

"What's a faery? Do you mean fairy? The beings with pixie dust?"

The three stood silent.

"Yep, she doesn't know her."

"It's weird that she would hug her then."

"Really quick Feri, if a complete stranger was to hug you. How would you react?"

Ferizia raised an eyebrow.

"I'll push them away. I'm not hugging any stranger. Didn't you hear the saying, 'stranger danger?'"

"... what if they were an adorable little girl?"

"That's even more weird! Think about it, if you were a parent, would let some random person you don't know hug your child! No, you wouldn't. Rather, why are you even ask..."

She then gave them a wary look.

"Don't tell me... are y'all into that sort of thing?"

Ferizia's question completely blindsided Arian as he she opened and closed her mouth like a fish out of water.

"I can't believe it... my own mom would do such a thing."

"No, no! you got it wrong! It's a misunderstanding!"

"As your daughter, I don't approve of that kind of thing. I mean, I know that your a goddess and you have the power to do so, but even you shouldn't cross that line."

"I'm telling you its a misunderstanding!"

Yet Ferizia didn't seem to believe her as her understanding of gods and goddesses related back to her knowledge of the Greek pantheon. Needless to say, by the time the misunderstanding had been cleared, Arian had fallen into depression at the thought of her daughter thinking she was a deviant.
