Alice walked towards her room feeling a bit fatigued and disoriented but surprisingly cool-headed. reaching the door, she noticed that it was unlocked. but didn’t give it much thought, thinking that Rose might have forgotten to lock it.

entering the room, she felt a bit cold for some reason

the light refracted from something and *wush*

a wound appeared on Alice back and her extremities flew off her body

(Alice)- wha…. HAAAAAA!!

she screamed her lungs out before seemingly falling on her back looking straight at the eyes of her mask attacker sadly she was losing too much blood.

???-you know I kind of feel bad doing this to you… you see I don’t really like to hurt pretty lady’s but this was a favor for that corrupt prince of yours… there was also a whole lot of gold involved… how could I say no? so plis… forgive me.

as Alice was bedding out she heard the sound of a voice again… she didn’t know where it came from but she knew something… and that was that what it said was becoming true her pain was residing and her bleeding stopped.

her attacker apparently didn’t notice but apparently, he wasn’t finished

a well-dressed man was walking through some large corridors, he had a solemn expression on his face before looking out of a window and stopping to look at the scenery...

after a few minutes of contemplation, tears started to fall from his eyes... before taking out a picture of a younger version of him together with a well-dressed woman beside him and a small lady in the middle of both

???-I couldn't stop it...I am sorry Ange...I...could not stop it... your prophecy became true... my daughter... I am sorry I learned about your fate too late to stop it...

he then took what looked like a small gem from a pendant and held hit inform of him before talking to it

???-Sebas...*sigh* it's time...

the communication then got cut and the gem turned to a fine dust

the figure then turned around looking back to where he came from hearing the sound of metal rubbing against metal until he saw a heavily decorated knight figure before this one stopped before him

knight-Duke of the north, Aaron Stoll. you are under arrest for crimes against the crown

Duke Aaron gave a little smile before answering strongly

Aaron- under what charges?! For all I know I have only worked for the crown and only the crown.

then two more knights appeared from the other direction.

knight- your charges shall be knight announced before the royal family. I suggest that you come willingly.

Aaron just sighted... he knew this would happen so he chose to go willingly after all this way he would get closer to his actual target the crown prince the source of all evils.

he was taken towards the audience chamber but only the crown prince was presently seated on the king's throne.

he then was made to kneel on the floor

c.p.- Duke Aaron. good to see that you came without any complications

Aaron -Edward... you know that your father doesn't like that you sit on his throne

Edward- well if you haven't heard... he is dead... he was murdered in cold blood and I just so happened to know who the killer is... ...you...

Edward-silence you killed my father... and I have captured you and your treacherous sow you have for a daughter that I hear sabotaged the summoning formation... who should come here any minute now...

Alice was thrown back due to the force of the shot she doesn't know how she did it or how is that she has been hearing a fake voice on her head.

what she did know is that somehow she wasn't dying right now so there was a chance that someone friendly would help her... but at this point, with her injuries, she would only be a burden.

somehow she could feel a weird sensation all over her body especially on her blue-colored eyes...

Alice-what...? is that

Alice started to see weird lines start to appear in her vision what was even weirder was that it wasn't the normal line that only appear under a special light and is completely erratic these were straight and apparently with a purpose.

what Alice didn't know is that her eyes were changing. both in color and in design because her color changed to a blue-silver color and circular rectangles appeared on perfect intervals around her pupils.

Alice-wha... what is this...

suddenly Alice's sight was bombarded by lines of code that she could not understand

but slowly little by lithe she started to understand what it said. and what caught her attention, for the most part, was the percentage at the top of her vision that said "DNA integration 40%".

Alice then saw that in her vision a line appeared from the center towards the outside like if it was guiding her somewhere. following it she saw the wall with the entrance to the room that was covered in blood... her blood. but what most called her attention was the fact that she could see the red outline of 3 silhouettes and the line in her vision pointed toward them.

Alice could not see it. but what remained of her body suddenly became transparent. and just in time two because as soon as her body became transparent the bane of her existence appeared, her ex-fiance, and the one that humiliated her with another... the crown prince Edward

Alice could not believe her eyes she was right in front of them nearly dying right in front of them, and they could not see her. but that became unimportant as soon as she saw her father been dragged by a knight the very same type of knight that saluted and opened the doors to the summoning chamber not so long ago.

Alice started to lose clarity on her vision but she could see that her father had lunged himself towards the now King Edward wounding him on his good for nothing good looking face and chest with a shining red dagger that appeared on his wrist leaving burn marks along its path

Alice lost conscience not before seen her father get impaled on his back with a steel lance to then get decapitated by a second knight's sword

3°d person pov

the now king was holding his wound while looking at his dead attacker before saying I need to some healers you send a division to burn down this bastard state

then he and both knights came out of the room.

not looking back was the biggest mistake they could have ever done because Alice appeared visually again only looking a lot paler now and with her eyes closed... what also appeared was a gray mist that moved from her body towards nowhere and everywhere in the room removing chunks of pieces of clothing, wood, metals. anything that could be considered materials in a "desperate" situation.

the mist after acquiring the chunks formed around them and on what remained of Alice extremities and began forming a black silver-like metal structure closely followed by strands of a black soft-hard material.

slowly these structures formed and took the shape of upper arms and legs then metal structures resembling elbows appeared. then the same happened on "her legs".

slowly her lost extremities got replaced by silver-black biomechanical prosthetics and a bit of her upper torso and her spine that all followed her body's original shape to the letter.

???-body repairs complete. adjusting bio receptor levels to maintain stable levels of fear and anxiety. waking up...

Alice was looking at the sealing when light hit her face so she used her arm to block it but she noticed the differences on her body mainly the fact that her arms were now silver black colored and only appeared to be the exposed mussels.

somehow she wasn't freaking out but wasn't entirely comfortable... suddenly:

Alice was disoriented then she saw the same lines that she saw some time ago and some letters appeared.

Alice- what... that voice again...who are you?

a line appeared again indicating here to where the point of interest was. Alice then managed to remember what had happened some time ago and looked straight at her father's dead body with grief, sadness and pain.

so she got up and walked towards her decided father and something compelled her to search his body and noticed two things one was that her father had a hidden blade on a wrist bracer mechanism which she felt compelled to equip the other thing is that when she took the bracer and put it on her own wrist of a piece of paper dropped to the ground.

Alice picked it up and saw it was actually a small letter envelope that said: "place this letter in my daughter's resting place"

Alice-why did my father had this on him... why "my resting place"... did he already know I was to die...here?

she wanted so badly to know that answer so she ripped opened the envelope and took a quick overlook at the letter but before she could seriously read it the line came back showing her the silhouettes of two knights coming right at the other side of the door and she became surprised dropping the letter in the act.

knight 1- hey I think I heard something...

knight 2-let's take a look

Alice became surprised by her capability to hear through the wall because she knows that a few hours ago she couldn't. because that wall was designed to suppress sound

but she became alarmed by the conversation and thought can I do what I somehow did a while ago?

not a second too late just after the door started to open...

???-cloak engaged

the two knights entered the room and saw the dead body but no one that was alive and making any sound...

knight 1-mmm must have been the wind... but let's search the room for anything

Alice didn't know what to do, she could run but didn't know if she could make it. the other was to fight but then again she was no fighter...

but as if fealing her distress her sight became full of numbers before three hexagons with the numbers from 1 to 3 appeared on the center of her vision and moved around the room one right where an open window was saying beside it "escape (-->> jump)" another where the open door was that said "fight" and the last one that was close to her father's corpse were the broken front of the lance that killed him rested that said, "get".

Alice was indecisive but life has this weird way to get you to choose...

robed figure-hey what the hell are you doing in there get out the king ordered this room to be incinerated

said a robed figure right outside the room before the two knights got out in a hurry and the robed figure began a chant

???-warning. unknown energy signature detected. danger level rising.

Alice somehow became more calmer and quickly decided to grab the lance fragment, she somehow knew that even if it was broken it still was a knight's weapon and it was bound to be of quality. she then ran towards the window before without stopping. making a rather big jump uncloaking and craking a bit the balcony in the process.

knight 2- hew what is that!! it is like something is moving.

the knights tried to follow Alice but it became impossible she was way faster than them they only managed to see her when she uncloaked but only for a second.

Alice- I don't know how or why I did it... but I jump from the highest part of the castle... and now I am going to die...

although scared she was rather calm with the situation

???-landing point confirmed. recommend the activation of armor mode to reduce damage from fall.

she didn't know how to do it but followed the same feeling as when she used that other cloak ability

red lines appeared on what was left of her skin and her black arms and legs became reddish with a moving pattern all over their surface just before hitting the ground hard before rolling forward awkwardly... right in the middle of a desolated side street making small cracks where she landed.

Alice was disoriented with the hitting the ground thing. but quickly regained her bearings and looked back to where she jumped from that now was engulfed in flames and remembered that she dropped the letter... but before she could feel sorrow she saw that there was a new "memory" segment on her vision and it appeared to be calling her so she tried opening it.

when she did she found that somehow that letter was there and she could read it and it said:

"my dear daughter Alice... I...I am sorry...but these words can't even come close to the feeling of sorrow I have right now... because I couldn't protect you...I... couldn't stop fate... your mother Martha and I wanted you to live a happy life... but she passed first... just sometime after you were 5. but she always said she was ready and had everything ready for when your fate arrived... I never understood what she meant... even if this letter was her idea... she said it was for you so it would come to you one way or another and to always have it with me... she even gave me a small drawing to put at the end saying that you would know what it meant... I hope that this letter got to you somehow...and I hope that we can find each other in our next life Alice... my daughter...  ATTE... your father Aaron  and mother Martha"

Alice couldn't help but cry... she knew that her father wasn't as good with writing emotional letters but... she got the message and started crying because she now understood that she was now alone... her mother departed when she was young and now her father died right in front of her... and she even knew that her own home was most likely going to be destroyed within the next day and there was nothing she could do to stop it... and above all that there was the fact that her she didn't know her body anymore. but she also knew that it was that what saved her life...

after that "tear discharge" she took a look at the drawing in the letter and saw a place she knew really well because it was her and her mother's favorite place. somehow she remembered as clear as day. but that wasn't important right now. she had her objective: to go there and find what her mother had prepared for her. the only problem was that even tho it was close to where her home was. it was still quite far and she only had some tatter clothes, "her legs", a hidden blade that she didn't know how to use, and the front of a broken lance that at most it could work as a knife. but that wouldn't deter her. there were many ways to get there she could even hitch a ride with her cloak ability... but the best would be to get registered on the mercenary or adventurer's guild earn a silver and get in some cart towards that place.

that would be the best if she didn't want to attract a lot of unwanted attention... after all, she no longer looked like she did a few hours ago her body altho have the same shape it now was different, her eyes were somewhat different and her hair had also changed it now contained strands of silver white and was considerably more grayish compared to the sea of black that it was.
