"Because I no longer feel the vital signs of the men who were watching us."

When Yuna found herself facing the person who was talking to her, she was even more surprised. In the shadows, the little girl's scarlet eyes glinted, coupled with the girl's canines, her eyes widened.

"A vampire?! I thought your kind died out a long time ago... What are you doing here? How did you end up here?" 

"I don't remember... I just remember that I was walking around town alone and suddenly I felt extremely tired and then I fell asleep..."

In a whisper Yuna says, "Sleeping pill then... That's shameful."

"And the rest of you, was it the same for you?"

In unison they all answered, "Yes."

Then my gaze shifted back to the little vampire

"What's your name?"

"My name is Mary!"

"Nice to meet you Mary, my name is Yuna. Could you please move back a little? I'll let you out right away." 

"Okay !"

Drawing my shortsword, I infused it with a light veil of mana. Then I concentrated. 

"Be careful Mary. I'm going in!"

With a loud boom. I sliced through the bars of her cage in one blow, the debris then fell at the same time to the icy floor of the carriage. Then I did the same for the other children.

"Wow ! You are really strong Yuna ! As strong as my big sister !"

With a touch of melancholy Yuna said, "You have a sister Mary?"

"Yes! And she's an adventurer! Her name is Alice!"

"Then she must be extremely strong! You are lucky! " with a smile she added "I envy you Mary..."   

"Did you say something Yuna?"

"No, I didn't say anything don't worry. Let's move on, I noticed that these bandits have applied a seal of slavery to all of you. Do you know where they hide your slave contracts ? " 

In the corner another child answered, "Yes, I know where they hid them ! They are in the driver's seat ! I saw their leader put them in the coach siege when they took a break."

"Thanks. I'm going to destroy those contracts and then you'll all be free."

Everyone replied at once, "Thank you very much!"

Suddenly as I got out of the carriage, my instincts kicked in. I felt a person approaching me very quickly. Her bloodlust was so strong that it was almost tangible. By reflex my arm moved of its own accord, I grabbed my shortsword by the hilt, then I deflected the trajectory of the dagger thrown in my direction. After that with a quick movement a young woman teleported into my other blind spot, preparing to slit my throat. But thanks to my overdeveloped hearing, I managed to react in time and dodged the blow with a simple backward jump. Without giving up, the assassin started to chase me again, with a dive she rushed in my direction. In a wide movement I parried the blow vertically which disarmed her. Slowly I walked next to her and whispered in her ear,

"I do not wish to take the life of an innocent. Would you please let me go? You obviously can't beat me."

In a fit of rage, the woman threw me away with her wind magic, then whispered.

"⌈ Blood Creation, Scarlet Scythe⌋. Letting you go ? After what you do to the children ? I admit it, you're very strong. But I wouldn't let you go so easily. You will perish today." 

"Blood Creation? So she's Mary's sister. Interesting. Mary wasn't lying when she said her sister is really strong. Tell me, are you by any chance Alice?"

With amazement she said, "How do you know my name?!"

With a slight smile that could charm anyone around I said, "Your little sister has told me a lot about you. All the more reason not to fight, don't you think ? I'm telling you again, I don't want to hurt you. Please let me pass."

"Don't try to lie to me. Mary would never talk to a stranger ! "

I sighed and said, "Still, it's not a lie. "

"Shut up ! I've had enough ! I'm going to end it here and now ! Forget the scythe, your death would be too sweet for someone like you ! ⌈ Blood Creation, Blood Oblivion Orb! ⌋"

In an instant all the blood scattered around the carriage gathered into an orb above Alice, this orb is a concentrated magic allowing the user to blow up everything around without affecting the user. 

"I've already told you that. But you don't stand a chance against me." With a slight movement of my hand I took possession of Alice's magic and cancelled it before it even activated. Then I rushed in her direction while she thought about what had just happened. As I was about to give the final blow I said "Sorry, but I have no more time to lose" I knocked her out with a blow in the stomach. Before she collapsed.

"Well, now let's take care of her children. If I remember correctly the little boy said that the contracts were under the driver's seat... Um... Ah ! Here ! To free them I just need to destroy the contracts so ⌈ Will-O-Wisp ⌋! "

After destroying the contracts, the necklaces that chained the children broke. Yuna propose to escort everyone to the next town and they agree. Before leaving she saw Mary  lying next to her sister and ask before leaving if she want to stay with her sister until she woke up, without hesitation Mary answered "Yes!" and so like that Yuna and Mary departed in their own direction.

20 minutes later

Under a tree, Alice woke up with a pleasant feeling below her head, the light was not very visible. Above her, she saw a white streak hanging over her face, then she heard a voice that she could recognize between thousand.

"Big sister? Are you okay?" 

"Mary? You weren't locked in that carriage ?! "

"No, Yuna saved my life."

"Yuna? That girl with the silver hair ?"

"Yes, that's her ! She is an extremely nice girl !"

"She wasn't lying so... I should go apologize to her... Do you know where she is going ?"

"She's in the town right next door !"

"Okay..."

With a sad look she said, "You want to go now ? But... I was waiting for you... today is my birthday... Do you remember ?"

"Yes, that's right sorry... Happy birthday Mary."

"Thank you!" 

"By the way, what am I doing on your thighs?"

"Ah... I just thought it would be nicer than sleeping on the floor..."

With that, the chapter is a little better. Sorry at the end it was not very clear  I will write the next chapter today and publish it tomorrow. Also when I was creating the cover of this story I was wondering about the tag and add Smut but I'm not really sure about this tag. I just have a vague Idea about the next arc etc. So I want to ask you if you really want me to write an smut novel ? Later on in a few chapter maybe, I will write an R-18 chapter depending on your choice. Edit 5 Nov
