‘The fate engine has retained its connection as it doesn’t work off system software. While we cannot physically interact with her, we can use the engine to at the very least, estimate what her plot is. We should have a full synopsis in five minutes, and we can plan from there.’

‘Liar!’ using spurring amount of strength, the young maid pushed her young miss against the wall, ‘Yuese would never do something like this, she would always stay in her house, always obey the family, would be easily exploited and would happily walk into any fatal trap! Who are you!’

Yuese’s eyes narrowed as she stared down at Mei’er, ‘Mei’er, didn’t that girl make you feel trapped and disgusted? You care so much for her safety, but she does nothing; even walking into death itself with a smile. Were you happy with that life?’

Tears streamed down Mei’er’s face as she replied, ‘I was not happy with that life, but I was happy with my duty her deceased mother gave me, to protect her!’

‘Well,’ Yuese lifted her hand and gently stroked Mei’er’s face, ‘You failed. Your Young Miss died; drowned to death. And now you are left with me, a moonlight dagger replacing your Bi Yuesei.’ she continued to stroke her cheek as the system ran a scan on Mei’er’s body, her eyes lighting up, ‘Will you come with me? I am not overly familiar with this world, and I will make it worth your effort.’ Mei’er was shocked by this overly intimate action as Yuese said in her mind, ‘System, do an internal scan of me. Identify cultivation capability and methods to gain power,’ this was after all a cultivation world. A bitter looking Director Hua balled his fists up in anger, ‘yes sir.’ He had failed big time and put the big boss’s long held plans at risk.

‘I don’t believe in fate. So who better to break it than a fate witch’ Yuese smiled as she walked down the dirt path, ‘Hey, Mei’er, let me tell you a story...’ and so she began recounting everything that had happened to her, in both worlds, to the young maid who followed.
