CHAPTER 4: PROJECT VALK

"Dear, you need to go to bed", 

"No, I want mommy to read me the story", 

"Hah, it seems that I can't convince you to sleep,

But the strangest of it all was that,

Three years from that point onward, I was able to find some information about the facility, 

There are 5 buildings in total

First building is where we test subjects mostly stay,

It's security is mostly low

— Maybe they are not afraid of us getting away or thereabouts. 

It's in two floors, the top floor is restricted, the doors to the top floor are locked, 

— If only I could find the keys. 

The second building is where the play hall and medical room was, it's mostly where we are being kept during the day, 

— Nothing much to expect from there. 

The third is where [men in white] are, 

Security there is tight. 

Fourth - unknown 

Fifth looks like a storage facility

— Nothing much there

— Seems like escaping is a long way, 

Well, I would just have to wait for a moment where I can slip into the [men in white] building, 

On a miraculous night, 

There was a snow storm coming, 

Everyone that day had to prepare counter measures for the storm. 

I instantly knew this was an opportunity of a lifetime to find out what this facility is about, 

I waited for the coast to clear as my plans were,

To find the place where all information is being kept, which was the third building of the shelter. 

Heading to the building, the men in white were standing guard on the building entrance, so I had to wait for a bit before I head inside, 

As they all left the guard post, I headed into the building 

Arriving into the building, 

There were a wide range of entries, 

But I could find the [men in white] in their numbers standing next to a door. I instantly knew that whatever was behind the door was something important, 

I waited to see if they would move to his surprise they didn't move, 

— Tsk, looks like they aren't letting anyone pass through. 

It was more like they were robots, I then had to distract them, 

Using the toys, I sneak out of the play hall, then created a diversion that drew their attention. 

— I never knew they could come in handy. 

I then swiftly rush to open the door, 

It had a small screen on the side, which was different from the rest. As I tried to open the door, it was to no avail, as a key needed to open the door was not a normal one, but, 

A pass key was needed, I was on at my limit. 

After a few minutes, the [men in white] guarding the door was to arrive back. 

"Here", 

I heard a voice whispering to my ears, 

— Who's that? 

I turned to see who it was, 

It was Aria, 

My heart skipped out offear as she was the least expected person to follow me, 

"What are you doing here?" 

And since when did you follow me", 

— How comes I didn't notice her?

"Here, key", 

She stretched her hands out, as she held a pass key on her hands, 

I was confused, 

But as I heard the voices of the [men in white] arriving from the stairways, I unconsciously held her hands and opened the door. 

Rushing into the room, 

It was dark, I held on tightly while hugging Aria, 

On adjusting my eyes to the darkness, I could see her smiling with a grin on her face, 

— Huh, why is she smiling? Anyways, stop over thinking things. 

I then patted her head saying, 

"well done", 

As I then moved on to identify what was in the room, I found papers on the desk, tagged as top secret files with the information on the top saying, 

[Project Valk] 

Opening the file I detected, 

Test subjects details and results, 

Most of what I examined was scribbled information on the experiment details, on sight of the details, 

I could feel sick from just looking at what the details were, but the most important was that, 

[Project Valk] was designed to create humans from mana, just as powerful as the monster called [Klaur]. After 50 years of research, the creation of the first was successful, tag named Alpha, subject No. 55. 

Due to the unstable nature of the subject, he was disposed off, 

Unstable nature found to be lack of a link, after 5 years, 

Establishing of link started with subject No. 90

The project continued to bring out more powerful subjects. 

As Aria sighted my disgust, she quickly hugged me, on the feeling of being hugged I felt relieved.

— To my knowledge, this is not the world of swords and magic I use to dream about.

After a while, I heard footsteps behind the door, 

Placing my ears closely, 

At that time, 

{Main Security Tower Of Area: 02} 

In the main watch room of the tower, a report was given in on radio, 

"This is west front security tower......... Shhh

We.. We..... Are under attack" 

 

Respond: This is the main tower, state your situation, 

"West... front is being...... Shhhh.....attacked by Klaus.... Numbers....... 10....no...they are in hundreds.........", 

Respond: west front do you copy, west front, 

He then pushed the red button on distress, sending a message to all shelters 

A huge blare, warning off the attack of the monsters [klaur], saved us from being found out, 

Respond: This is the main tower, all units available should continue on to reinforce the west front, 

I repeat all units to the west front, 

West front is under attack. 

After the emergency warning, Aria and I, in an attempt to escape, couldn't follow the front door, had to jump through the window, 

Outside the window, I could see snow piles, but the scenery outside was so beautiful, reminding me of my dream. As I looked up in view of the moon there, I detected [Two moons], 

I searched the room for anything to help us jump off the building. 

After a while, without many options, 

Looked like jumping off is our last resort, 

I jumped first, then after landing, I held out his hand to catch Aria, who was a little shy to jump off, 

"Its okay, I would catch you",  

I shouted out to encourage Mary onto jumping yelled, 

As Aria jumped off, I caught her, but on not knowing my limit, I felt the backlash as I fell too. 

Heading back to our building, I saw 

The Commander, 

"Everyone fall back, 

The Commander is here", 

In the scene of the Commander was I, frozen, still in sight of what was to beheld a fight between the Commander and the Klaur. 

As the red boss held onto a [red sword], 

— Like those in star wars, but a bit different as he could see the sword bend on like a [katana],

Displaying a beautiful Swordsman ship, and that this was not a fight, it was a slaughter-field for the commander, or rather the Massacre of monsters called Klaur, who were in different form but had the color of black, purple and blue. 

He held the sword, pointing straight at the Klaur, as they rushed forth, 

In an instant, all I could see was a red light shining in marking different arcs on the body of the klaur, 

Before I knew it, it was the sword of the commander moving, 

After the commander raised his sword fighting, all I could see was the black dust formed after the klaur had been Defeated, riding along the wind as it disappears into the air. 

— That was like [OP] 

I could only stand still as my body couldn't move but to watch. Aria, who held my hands, shook me too awoke from the sight of the Commander. 

As we continue to head back to the shelter, the only thought on my mind after that scene wa s, 

— Is that who i have to fight to be able to escape? 

No, way... That's impossible, 

Rather I have to escape, or else I would be made into a weapon,

I would definitely escape.
