CHAPTER 6: TRAINING

The next day,

A man dressed in military wear, making his entrance,

"Listen up all,

From today forward, I would be in charge of training you guys,

Your schedule for this day forward will be revised",

"You are all to appear here early in the morning,

Before the sun rises",

"Any questions",

Blu raised his hand,

"Sir, when are we starting",

"Hmm",

As he grinned with a threatening smile

"Now".

That day Blu had never had any training like that in his former life,

They were all ordered to run laps round the whole facility, in freezing snow, which was more than ten kilometers

"Hey, I don't know what you twerps are doing, but it sure doesn't look like running",

"Hah...",

— I surely hate this guy, reminds me of my teacher in high school.

After an extensive run,

"Hah... Hah... I felt my heart was going to break out of my chest",

"Good job twerps,

It seems like you got it in you after all",

— if I had a gun, I would have definitely killed this guy by now,

"Ok now tomorrow, you all are going to run round untill noon",

"Ehhh...".

After months of hellish training,

{Commander's office}

Secretary: Morning sir,

"— Ahh, morning,

How's the test subjects doing",

"Well, the training is successful, they are all ready for the next step",

"Postpone the test run",

"But sir",

"I said postpone the test run, the test subjects are all to training for a few weeks before the test run",

"Ok sir",

— Looks like I have done all I can do, now it's up to you guys

{In Blu's room}

On sight of the morning light which shone brightly in Blu's room, passing through the window and made a landing on Blu's face,

On realizing the morning light has come, Blu rose quietly and

Ahhmm,

He yawned as his month opened widely, taking a long but rather deep breath out of tiredness.

The early mornings of Blu always started with the sight of the [men in white] making their rounds on the roll call to bath and breakfast.

— wait a minute, it seems we are forgetting something hm...

Ah... I remember now the training today was supposed to be training,

But what happened, did he finally give up...

A large voice was heard from afar,

"Good morning, twerps",

— Ahh... I spoke too soon

Arriving was our trainer,

"You all might be wondering what today's training plan would be

Well, there is no plan for today,

All of you will be training using weapons",

"Weapons",

"Yeah, so everyone let's go",

{Outside field}

"Ok,

Now I would explain to you all the weapons,

There are basically three types of weapons. and we call them—'mana weapons'.

They use the mana in our bodies has energy to activate, their color, quality depends on the type of mana you have...",

"Sir, what's mana",

"Why are you interrupting me",

"Sorry, sir",

"Hah... Mana are life-force energy, which can be used in mostly any aspect, though you don't need to worry about other things because you are simply going to use it for fighting",

"Now, the first one is the mana blade, the mana blade as you can all see, uses mana to increase the speed, sharpness and attack value of the weapon",

— It seems like that was the weapon the commander used

"Second is the ranged mana weapon, that shoots out mana bullets; they are bullets made from mana, and uses it to attack",

"The third are spells, by fusing a spell into your weapons, you can give them attributes of fire, ice, water, etc.

But the best would be to awaken your psyche."

"Though all the weapons here are made of mythril, they are all weak conductors,

But when you awaken your psyche, you would be given custom weapons made of amethyst, which are the highest conductors of mana",

"Custom weapons as mama weapons that resonate with your own mana, giving it a different form",

"So any questions",

"Sir, what's psyche",

A psyche is an ability that awakens when the mana in your body is given a form

— Hmm... Looks like the world of mana being omnipotent does apply here

Anyways, I just need to awaken my psyche before the phase 5 starts, then I can escape here.

But, what's even more, I don't know how to fight!!

Arhhh...

"Ok now you all should pick a weapon, and I would train you on how to use it",

Blu picked the blade-type weapon, which was white, but had a unique design. As he gripped the handle of the sword, it lit up on the edge with a blue color, on sight of it his thoughts were,

'awesome' 

After months of weapons training,

"What do you think? Is going to be our test for today",

"I don't know, but whatever it is, we are altogether going to pass right",

"Yeah",

— I don't know why they suddenly called us from bed this morning, but no matter what, nothing is going to stop me,

We were all being brought into a hall which was bigger than the normal ones they were in,

Though on the left side of the wall was a screen,

I knew instantly that this was another test,

As the doors opened, Blu could see that the doors were leading outside.  On cite, was a large beast that was just as extensively tall as a tree, in the form of a orc with two horns of blue color with a body black and hoofs purple in color.

No... No... No... No,

Why are we fighting that?

Blu could only shiver in fear with the ominous aura it gave, as the monster moved onto face him, in sight of Blu, who had given up on fighting as his legs gave up falling to the ground,

As the monster closed in range of Blu, it shook its hoofs in the snow to gather momentum to charge in facing its horns in Blu's direction,

Blu guessed,

'—ha! Am going to die',

As the monster continued on picking its pace charging in, Striking its horn as it pierces through Blu's stomach,

He then heard a voice,

'Future phase, reconstruction'

"Hahhh!!"

Blu felt a huge pain, then later found himself kneeling on the snow as he glanced at his stomach, there was nothing,

What? I am sure I just died,

Looking forth, he saw the klaur,

Did I just go back in time?

Grrhh,

The sound of the klaur, as it was getting ready to charge

"like hell, am going to die again",

He built up the courage to stand as he clutched the sword firmly . The monster rushed in as in the instant dust gathered covered the whole scene, only to see that it had missed as Blu moved out of the monster way,

As Blu was out of the monster's sight, he clutched the sword, it sparked on, then Blu raised his sword and stroked it down as all that could be heard was the sound of the monster slashed down,

Blu huffed as the cold of the cold gathered, subsequently falling down as he lost the feeling of this legs.

— Ahh, I thought I was going to die,

Wait, didn't I just die, and what was that 'future phase?'

"Gggrrrhhh",

The sound of many monsters as they gathered to fight Blu,

He stood up to fight, as he held his sword,

He heard a voice again,

'Reconnect Laplace'

He felt a huge surge in his brain as he yelled,

"Ahh...".

Memories flooded his brain as he lost consciousness.

After an hour, Blu woke up only to find himself holding the sword,

What happened,

'If I remember correctly, I held my sword then,

Oww..',

He then looked around and found no klaur,

"Where are the klaur?"

Blu then realized that this was a test, the instant he knew a feeling sparked as he was worried, anticipating,

"What happened to the others".

Blu ran to the entrance hoping that nothing had happened to them,

On arrival, what Blu saw was a gruesome scene as Alice, Eli and Noire were all dead lying on the levitating stretcher

Meanwhile,

{Observation deck}

The professor and the Commander stood watching the test run

Professor: It seems like we have lost a few test subjects during the test run,

"Yeah, number 1, put up a fight, but died the minute he lost guard".

Professor: But number 101... Is a fiery fighter,

Commander: It looks like this batch truly has it in them,

"And as expected of a defect, he made it through without a single scratch".

"Well, I wouldn't expect less from you",

*Silent*

"Are you sure you don't remember", he said, in doubt of the commander

"Remember what", the commander said with an expressionless face

The professor shifting the question said, 

"Nothing continues",

On hearing his words he pondered, 

— Seems like the professor already found out that I postponed the test run,

But hasn't found out why, well I can't say I am innocent if he found out the reason  why was to help them,

"Ok, the test run of phase 4, the psyche awakening of all test subjects

Results:

Number 100 - Phase

Number 101 - Fire

Number 105 - Light

Number 108 - Ice

Number 109 - Shadow

Lastly, number 102 - unknown. 

There you have it any complaints, 

Professor: Well, knowing number 102 is a defect, he won't make it pass phase 5.

Commander: Yeah, so phase 5 would commence regardless of the outcome,

"Are the custom weapons ready for all test subjects",

"Yeah, tomorrow I would give them"

"Okay".
