A couple of hours passed and the tent of the leader had become a sauna. Waves of heat rolled of the leaders body, but the old man next to him didn't seem to be affected as he patted his shoulder.

"Enlai, calm down , you're expelling your Qi to wildly. If this goes on, the tent might catch fire." calmly said the old man, and the waves of heat dissipated with a sigh from the leader.

"Old Ming..... sorry about that." smilingly said the young man "It's just that I'm too excited. Who would have thought that a heavenly chance would fall upon us?! This unannounced caravan that is heading for the Searing Fist Sect is definitely the way out we desperately need to....

"Young master Enlai, I understand your desire to bring your Lei family to it's former heights, but you also have to stay vigilant and cautious. Our force may be decent, but the fighting force of the caravan is also not to be underestimated, especially the young man with the bow."

"Hmph......he's just a small obstacle in my journey. He may be strong but I have full trust in your observational skills, and he's still just a single person. You said that beside him and two other guards, no one is at the Qi gathering realm right?"

"Indeed, it's as you say young master , but...

"No buts! If that's true, then they may as well be dead as both of us are almost at the  peek of the Qi gathering realm."

As he heard those words the old man shook his head "Young master, I know you better than this. I've trained you not only in your martial arts, but also in warfare. You should know that if we do this then our forces will definitely suffer a huge loss, maybe an irreversible loss."

*Bam*

Wood chips flew all around as Enlai shattered the table in front of him. "NO, this shall be done! Old Ming, I'm tired of waiting, I'm tired of collecting protection fees from villages, and I'm tired of being a bandit! Living in this state, praying for a good caravan to come through,a bunch of bullshit! Leading these men is like leading a pack of hienas."

"Young master....

" I'm tired Old Meng, I'm so tired, and I'm also afraid." said Enlai with a trembling voice " I'm scared Old Meng, I'm scared of what I've become, I'm scared of what will happen if I continue in this path....I'm scared that I'll fail. "

In Enlai had solidified an unbreakable will, so strong that if it was to be broken, he would suffer great damage to his cultivation and even create a cultivation devil, so there was no turning back.

"I can't fail, you understand that don't you? Old Meng...."

The old man didn't say a word, just nodded, and got out of the tent. As soon as he went out he took a deep breath and he held his tears back while his mind spun up old memories.

' Young master Enlai, you were such a happy child....alas! You should have lived a loving life with your family and should have enjoyed your life instead of becoming a bandit, but is this fate? Is this the retribution of the heavens cast upon your father?'

"Sigh, I'm getting to old for this. After this I better take a break as I'm getting to tired. The lake near here is beautiful around this time,so that should do it." muttered the old man as he round up the men. The news of a raid riled them up and their spirits couldn't be more aflame than now, but they didn't dare cause a ruckus and all swiftly prepared their equipment.

............

The next morning the sun was just about to come up and Wan Bo was completely awake and finishing some light stretches to keep flexible, but he didn't practice his Demon Body Formation technique as Roy had prohibited it. After that he started cultivating and water Qi slowly easily seeped into his body, especially at this time of day when the water Qi concentration was the highest.

Right now he was trying to break through to the third stage of the Body Formation Realm, the Muscle Tempering.  Starting from the first stage, Blood Purification, to the second stage Marrow Cleansing, Muscle Tempering, to Organ Detoxification, and finally Spiritual Awakening, the Muscle Tempering was the easiest for Wan Bo. As he was constantly breaking down his muscles and  forming them in this stage of his cultivation, he had cut down on the time of Qi enrichment the muscle had to go through. A new muscle was far easier to enrich compared to an old one, but Wan Bo didn't know anything about this and just enjoyed it without a single though.

The water Qi seeped into his muscles and made them sing in joy. This would have made him happy , but something was bothering him; a strange fluctuation of the water Qi made him wary. It wasn't very obvious, but the usually quiet water Qi in the air was being pushed in one direction.

"Huuuuuuuu.....

Wan Bo got out of his meditative state, opened his eyes wide to look around, but he didn't see or hear anything in the dim light as the sun had just started to rise in the east. He didn't know what to do so he just asked his demonic master.

' Master, uhh....I'm sorry to disturb you, but do you think something is wrong? The water Qi is acting somewhat strange.'

'Yes.' was the only answer Wan Bo received before he felt the connection cut off. Wan Bo was left speechless at those words, hopping it was a joke, but he didn't believe it. He swallowed his saliva as he  felt a chill dow his spine and immediately went to wear his armor and got his staff when he heard a distinct sound ringing in the distance.

*Tang *

Without even thinking he jumped to the ground and not a second after, two bolts passed where be would have been.

"Agggg....

"Kaaaaaaa....

"Enemy atta.....

The entire camp went into disarray as they were caught unprepared. Arrows and bolts rained down on them without ryme or reason, bringing with them death.

"Uooooooooooooo.....

"Kill,kill them all......uoooooo.....

In less than a second the quiet camp had turned into a battlefield as about 50 people came rushing from all sides.

"Fuck!" cussed Wan Bo as adrenaline coursed through his body and he immediately locked on one of the attackers. He was smiling and shouting as he held an axe and a shied while he rushed forward. The attacker smiled even more as he saw the young Wan Bo, but he would regret it soon enough.

"Dieee...

"Hmph....

The attacker wanted to close the distance and hack at Wan Bo, but he was to naive and inexperienced. With a step back, and a wide swing Wan Bo used his staff to accurately hit his knee, dislocating it.

"Aaaaggg....." yelled the man in pain as he fell down, but this only let him open for Wan Bo's next attack from above.

*Bam*

The staff hit the pole of his head and he immediately fell like a puppet with his string's cut off, but Wan Bo didn't have time to celebrate as others rushed him.

"Haaht....huaaaappp....

He pushed back another one with a thrust before kicking him to the ground, but he didn't finish him off as he passed to the other one.  This one held a big spear, making him have a somewhat equal reach with Wan Bo, but he didn't have the brains of Wan Bo.

"Catch!" yelled Wan Bo as he threw his staff at the charging man, making him stop and pause for a moment, but a moment was all that mattered. Wan Bo crossed the distance in a flash and the dagger that had been on his side found itself lounged into the throat of the man.

"Khhhkk.krrrrrr...." was the only things the man could say as he looked Wan Bo with fear and anger in his eyes, but Wan Bo just twisted the dagger over and over. He then took the spear of the dead man and threw it. The spear hit another one of them, but it only wounded him slightly.

"Tch.... it wasn't enough..." muttered Wan Bo as he picked up his staff once again and headed to help the defence corps. This would seem to the the main point and the deadliest part of the battle, but the main players hadn't even showed up yet.

.........

On the other side Enlai and old Meng were slowly approaching from the rear when an arrow flew towards them.

"Young master...." yelled immediately Old Meng, but Enlai had already moved to the side and the arrow only hit a tree behind them.

*Bamm*

A loud sound was heard and the place on the tree where the arrow hit was crushed. A pit of three cm deep had formed with the arrow as the center, a testament to the arrows killing capabilities. A beed of sweat couldn't help but trickle down Enlai's brow, but he only smiled at the handsome young man holding a bow that had appeared in front of him.
