Since I still had three years of protection, I decided to use it to my advantage. I took out the rifle I had purchased from the system and instructed the three girls to stay hidden in the house. As soon as I stepped outside, a sudden attack caught me off guard. Shuriken and kunai flew towards me, but before I could react, someone emerged from the ground and grabbed my legs, rendering me immobile. The projectiles found their mark, piercing my body.

As I fell to the ground, my vision blurred and my thoughts raced. Blood stained the ground beneath me, and in that moment of pain and confusion, the only thing that echoed in my mind was, "Where is my 15-year protection?"

As consciousness slipped away from me, I caught glimpses of a man surrounded by lifeless bodies. But amidst the chaos, something felt off. Shouldn't I be experiencing a flashback of my entire life? It was a puzzling thought that lingered in my fading awareness.

Attempting to shake off the disorienting thoughts, I found myself in a different environment. My eyes focused on a pair of large, captivating eyes staring back at me. I mustered the strength to ask, "Who are you?"

A voice resonated within me, "I am the source of all myth and fantasies. I am the 34th fantasy dragon."

I couldn't help but interject, "31st or 36th would sound much better."

The dragon's response carried a hint of amusement, "Unfortunately, it's not up to me. 34 is the designated number. In this world, there are 38 dragons with a lower rank than mine."

I retorted, "I would argue that there are actually 33 dragons with a better rank than you."

The dragon brushed off the discussion of its rank, shifting the focus of the conversation. "Let's not dwell on that. You should explain why you are helping that lowlife steal my origin?"

I defended myself, "I'm not stealing. I just want to copy."

The dragon's tone grew serious, "It's not like some computer where you can copy and paste without consequences. This is the real fantasy world. What you're attempting is akin to stealing my powers and giving them to someone who doesn't deserve them."

Undeterred, I steered the conversation towards my own circumstances. "Why not talk about my current life? I should be dead. What life do you want me to talk about?"

The dragon offered a solution, "I can help you with that. You just need to sign a contract with me. Once your body adapts to my power, your strength will increase limitlessly."

Curiosity piqued, I inquired about the dragon's motive. "What benefit do you gain from this?"

The dragon explained, "The benefits are mutual. I will help you, and in return, you will help me. You can assist me in removing those who are trying to steal my origin. And once you are strong enough to leave this world, you can challenge the so-called World Manager."

I questioned the dragon's perspective, "Isn't the World Manager just someone trying to save the world?"

The dragon's response carried a note of cynicism, "The creation of worlds cannot be stopped by destroying a few worlds. No one has ever been able to do it in the past, and no one will succeed in the future."

After contemplating the dragon's proposal, I made a decision. "After the contract, how should I start?"

The dragon explained, "You can borrow the power of different worlds. Once you have enough strength, you can begin using my true powers."

Excitement surged within me as I laid out my plans. "First, I will modify my

body to resemble the main characters of Nura from Rising of the Yokai Clan. I'll make myself 50% yokai, allowing me to be active during the daytime. My character should be similar to Nura's father, possessing a decent lifespan and formidable strength."

Continuing with my preparations, I added, "After that, I'll create items from different anime that will prove useful. I believe my preparations are almost complete."

The dragon offered a word of caution, "Remember, while you have the ability to modify and create, do not borrow more power than your body can handle."

Concerns about my return surfaced. "How will I go back if those people have already burned my body? I might have to create a new identity."

The dragon assured me, "You don't have to worry. I will send you back at the exact moment of your death and replace you with your previous body. But before I go, allow me to give you a small gift." The dragon presented me with a modification for my broken system, ensuring that even if I were to lose my memory in the future, I would still be able to access my skills and powers.
