Colt had noticed that night in this world was similar to Earths', with the same twinkling stars and three moons

'Hold up.. three moons?!'

While Colt was thoughtlessly wondering about the celestial bodies outside the window pane, Rea spoke to King Irelia

"King Irelia, Thank you for briefing us of our situation" 

"No worries, It is part of protocol to tell you about this matter, as Im sure all of you are still trying to grasp the reality of the situation"

"It may be rude of me to ask but why did you choose us three to be your champions among our 30 classmates?"

'Yeah that is odd, Im sure there are better candidates, well besides other than me that is, these twins aren't aware that they're an amazing bunch' mused Colt

"Excellent question, I ought to tell the things that came into my mind as to why i chose you three"

"The things Im about to tell you is very important so listen very closely" the King matter of factly stated

The three champions stood in attention as Trandis spoke

"First all of you must know what Arcane is as it is the power that you have gained when you were transported to this world"

"Arcane is an energy that is inherently flowing and existing everywhere in Foleria"

"Its an energy that is embodied by our enemy, Aurelio, and is considered a very important part of this world"

"As to why that is, plants, animals, beast and us Folerians are strenghtened by Arcane in different ways that you champions wont be able to imagine"

"And as I've said before, it keeps this world alive, it also used in our everyday lives as it helps us survive the hard environment in Foleria"

"So how do the beings of this world take advantage of Arcane, it's simple really, the bodies of every living thing is structured to utilize arcane energy and we call those channels "Circuits" "

'Circuits? does he mean blood vessels?' thought Colt

" Circuits enables us to make use of arcane energy to either strenghten ourselves and control it to conjure supernatural phenomenons"

" Circuits are divided into two types the moment a being is born into this world and these are, Internal circuits and External circuits" the King raised two of his fingers

"Internal circuits are channels in the body that enables a person to consistently absorb arcane energy, and by having arcane inside the body, the person could enhance their bodies to an extreme degree"

'Thats a straightforward way to use it' as I listened intently to this unexpectedly interesting topic

"While external circuits are channels that allows a person  to feel and manipulate arcane energy in the surrounding, this circuit is very rare and most of them end up being mages because by manipulating arcane outside the body, they are able to conjure spells"

'Spells?! Oh man, this really is a fantasy world!' I excitedly thought as I noticed that the twins had stars shining in their eyes too

The king paused, after rubbing his chin he said

"You dont feel any difference in your body right know because those channels get freed over time through certain methods, after which you will immediately know the difference of having freed your circuits"

"There are more details about circuits and spells that should be explained to you three but that will be continued after I tell you the rest"

Dissapointment was seen from the eyes of the three champions

"No worries, the rest will be taught to you as you start your training" the King grinned

'Man I hate that word, training is like a trigger to us three' visible tense expression could be seen of the three youths

"Now lets go to the information that you champions want to hear"

"As I've said before, people either have internal and external circuits, and these circuits are assessed through being exposed to manipulated arcane by mages or through more traditional means"

"But champions are different, rulers or me in this case, can determine your circuits through your talent types when I was in the roster selection"

"""Talent types?""" the three of us pondered

"You must be wondering what that is, Talent type is a champion's compatibility  towards the kind of ability that they will manifest"

"Ummmm King Trandis, what abilities are you talking about, we dont feel any different" Ben asked

"Hmmmmm...." the king rubbed his chin 

"Oh I almost forgot!, say Status so that you can understand what I mean" The king said as he put his left hand to his other palm

'What?' I looked at my two friends then whispered

"Hey, maybe it's something dangerous"

"Well.. there's nothing else we can do, besides we just have to say it" Ben whispered

Rea nodded and I had nothing else more to say, I was convinced

"""Status""" the three spoke and then a transparent square pannel appeared before their eyes

Colt and the twins were suprised by its sudden appearance then was subsequently shocked at what they saw the pannel

The square showed a number of two things I didnt understand, talent type and ability

'Name and affiliation is easy to understand but... damn it, why did I have to get internal circuits! I wanted to do magic' I lamented inside my heart

I also noticed that my circuit was labeled "disarrayed" and my ability was unreadable for some reason and was also labeled "sealed"

'Hey isnt this bad!?, I think my status is trash, Oh God!' 

I looked toward the twins and got suprised as I can also see their status, it showed

'Oh so its the same for all three of us' I sigh in relief

All three of us was staring at our status when the King spoke

"Ohhhhh so you three have Internal circuits, that's greater than I expected"

"Wait a minute! you can see our status?!" asked by Ben

"Well Of course we can because you're affiliated with Irelia, How are we supposed to help you get stronger if you and the people of Irelia dont know how your powers work, its just a recipe for disaster in the battlefield as history and records prove this flaw"

"Dont worry too much, other than us from Irelia, you can also control who to show your status and just dont show it if you like"

"Oh alright, if thats the case" Ben said

"King Trandis, what does our status mean, why are our abilities unreadable and why does our talent type determine our circuits?" Rea hurriedly asked

"That's a lot of question hahaha, Ok, I'll explain first your concern with talent types"

"Talent types are assessed by the Gods after they transported you their realm, It is divided into four"

"Physical, which has anything to do with power concerning the body"

"Mental, which concerns powers that has anything to do with ones mind"

"Mystic, which concerns powers that are closely related to Gods"

" and Null, which is any power outside the three"

"These talent types determine your ability but also you're circuits because ability and circuits complement each other"

"Complement in what way exactly?" Colt asked

"Talent types tend to correspond to your circuits, for example, a physical ability will need a body that could support the said ability"

"It also applies to Mental abilities while Mystic and Null are kind of random and are considered wildcards"

"Ileria is a country focused on Close combat soldiers, while we have mages, they are only few in numbers, that is why I chose one Physical instead of Mental due to the available resources of Irelia appropriate to nurture you three"

"As for Null and Mystic, I opt to have wildcards in the battlefield, straight up firepower wont be able to grant us victory"

The three nodded in understanding

"That makes sense but what about our censored abilities and why are our circuits called "disarrayed" " I asked straight away as it was bothering me too much

"Your concerns with your circuits are nothing to worry about, dissarrayed means that those circuits have not been freed whatsoever"

"And the reason why your abilities are sealed and are unreadable because you three must first meet the Gods and get the purification blessing"

"You're abilities manifested once you were transported to Foleria but by being granted the purification blessing, your powers will be unlocked and will be truly yours, it is as I've said in the story" the king nodded towards his words

"Thank you for the explanation King Trandis" Rea bowed

"No need, its all part of protocol" the King waved his hands

Princess Leyana nodded at the word protocol

'Why are you nodding?' as Colt found her actions strange

"It's great news that all of you have internal circuits, the training will be much more easier now that all of you have the same circuits"

'I wanted to do magic'

"But first you must receive the purification blessing from the Gods so that we can identify your abilities before we can work on your circuits and start your training"

"Let us go to the temple right no-"

"Dear~ shouldn't you let them rest first~" the Queen interjected as she pointed outside the window

"But the traini-"

"Rest first right~" she interjected again but a cold atmosphere surrounded the room

"Oh Yes! O-Of course!, lets go to the temple tommorrow then"

"Hey you!" the King stood quickly then ordered some soldiers from the side to guide us to our rooms

'I think I have an idea of the hiearchy in this place already' I thought of that as I followed the soldiers out of the throne room
