this is my first story I have written, feel free to criticize it.

A second chance

"I failed in life, I failed finding a job after dropping out of school, I got kicked out of my house by my parents and ended up homeless, this life means nothing to me." said Pierce with a knife in his hand. 

Pierce stabbed himself with tears in his eyes.

Pierce saw light in front of him. then a human like white figure appeared in front of him and it said "you wanted a second chance? Then I shall give it to you, there is a catch though, by the age of 20 you will have to kill

other 10 people I've given a second chance, you all will be born at the same time. you will be able to find them by seeing this item with them, you will also have one. if you lose it or someone steals it from you, you will count as dead."

then the white figure gave a blue transparent ball to him, the ball seemed to be made out of glass. 

Then everything faded into black for Pierce, it was dark for him for a long time, he was left with nothing but his thoughts for seemingly long time, he couldn't figure out how long though. He was confused and scared about what's going to happen to him

and he wondered what the unknown figure was. He thought that it could be god but he couldn't figure out why he made him fight other 10 people who were given a second chance and he also couldn't figure out why he got a second chance, but he 

was glad about getting a second chance for a while until he given up to the dark. He started thinking that he was in hell and that he was being punished for failing. when suddenly he saw another light.

He was born. he realized that he was inside the stomach of his mother for all this time and this is when his new life starts
