"Hey you should go to the market and see what is up with the prices, the royal guard keeps telling us that they will rise again"- A beautiful woman, red hair, green eyes and a babyface, that was my wife

As I opened the wooden door. I looked at my house, wood, mud and effort. I arrived at the market, there were the same people I knew for years, I hope that not so many will die but who knows

"Hello Aideen, I haven't seen you in a long time"-A elderly man spoke a little bit louder than usual to get my attention

"Hello sir, what do you have for sale?"-I asked the old man as he was unravelling a cloth filled with vegetables

"You can choose now, I have eggplants, plums, cherries, cheese, cabbage and many more"

"I will take a cabbage, plums and carrots. How much?"- I asked the old me, he got a piece of papyrus where the prices were listed, they were pretty cheap

"3 gold coins child"- I handed the gold coins to the man and continued to walk

The market was lively and filled with people to the brim. Now I only have to buy meat so my wife can make a dish

"Hello, what kind of meat is this?"-I asked a seller, she looked young, the meat there looked like it came from a rabbit or wild game mostly

"Well hello there, what will you wish to buy?"-The woman asked me gently

"Hello, I want to buy some wild game meat"

"I have what you want right here"- The woman pointed at a venison

"6 gold coins. I am sorry but the prices had increased, this is the lowest I can offer you"

"No problem"-I handed the money to the woman

I arrived home to my wife once again, I gave her all the ingredients and she started making soup in the single pot we had in the whole house

"Hey Aideen, I know this day is a holiday but I think you need to start hunting again. I know it might be dangerous but we have no money"- My wife sat near me, kissed me while she returned to making soup. She is right about this.

"I will go, I will take my bow later today and go to the forest and see what I can do"-I kissed my wife one last time before heading out

In the forest:

I was walking in the forest alone. I was looking at the environment trying to find animals to hunt. The forest should not be empty this time of the year. I will have to find something. I waited for 4 hours till I saw a deer. I am getting ready to shoot the deer, I took the shot and the deer fled bleeding, the deer was heading to the lake. I arrived at the lake that the deer ran to, I found the deer bleeding to death at the lake, I killed it and as I tried to pull the deer up and carry it, I heard someone coming

"Drop it"- A soldier shouted

"I am hunting for my family sir"- I replied to the soldier

"Well you should get away from here, bandits are roaming around here"- The soldier came near me and escorted me through the forest, it was dark by now

"Did you hear that?"-the soldier pointed to a bush we heard some rustle in the bush. I could not see anything, I saw blood coming from my throat, I was on the ground, I did not know death could be so swift, the pain ended in a short time, and then everything was black, the last image I could see was that of a bandit that slit my throat and the soldier was almost killed by it. But this is how I died

"Aideen wake up sweety"- My mom scared me awake, was that a dream?

"Mom, I died, I died"- I was crying and hugging my mom

"It was all a dream Aideen, nothing was really there, it is better if you talk with us about it"- My dad, which I understand his job is to talk with kids like me that are in trouble (psychologist)

"I was in a house, I was a big man, I had a wife, we wore some kind of old rags for clothes, not like the ones we wear every day. I had gone to some kind of market, bought something. She told me to go hunting. I had gone in the forest, I hunted a deer and then a soldier was escorting me out, and then blood came from my throat. I am scared daddy, I don't want to die, I don't want to see anyone dead!"- I clung to my dad's arm

"Come on Aideen that is just a dream. I will see what I can do. Sleep tomorrow is your birthday"- My mom kissed my forehead

At my birthday tomorrow

"Happy 10th birthday Aideen"- my mom prepared a cake for me

"Happy birthday Aideen"-Claire, a girl from my school came to my birthday, she hugged me

"Thank you, Claire!"

"Well now sweetie, you should open the presents"

I opened each present. I was happy with everything I received. Mom gave me a book about monsters and cryptids written by "Professor Preston" even tho I get scared by them from time to time I enjoy reading them, dad gave me a pair of ski pants since we will be skiing and Claire, her present was an amulet, the amulet had a person with some tentacles coming from it's back. I enjoyed the gift and everyone's company
