The next morning eventually replaced the eventful night. The kingdom was resting in a state of recovery, guards could be seen searching through the kingdom for any potential survivors or dead bodies that may have been leftover from the night before. People were scattered in disorder around different sections of the kingdom. Sounds of weeping were abundant as many families have lost their members and were now wallowing in their sadness.

The kingdom was badly damaged and its people in disarray, they were only left to wonder, where is Spencer?

Laying in the crater formed from the meteor the night before, Spencer was in a state of hibernation. His body surging with the radiation from the meteor and in a state of equilibrium, every fiber of his being overflowing with foreign energy, reaching down to his very DNA. Spencer's body was shrouded in a field of energy that was rippling, sending frequent vibrations into the air.

Switching over to Quintus, his body was still badly injured, but all of the shards were carefully removed from his body and his wounds were wrapped in a cloth-like material to stop the bleeding. He was still unconscious and was slipping closer and closer to the afterlife. Hopi, the eldest brother, was standing by his father's side, tears rolling down on his face. He spent the entire night by his side, keeping watch.

His mother, going by the name Rose, was tending to Castor and Yarok. Yarok was not affected by the scratches on his body that much, but Castor, the little sister was a different story. Her body was generally weaker than her brothers. She was in a slightly worse condition, she was covered in bandages not that much less than her fathers and she could barely move without feeling sharp pain at the site of her injuries.

Out of all the members of her family, other than her mother, Castor was the calmest out of her siblings. During the strike, she maintained her composure and did her best to keep calm as possible, going through the library to keep herself occupied, but she couldn't shake the urge that was swelling inside her.

She was getting antsy, she was getting an urge to go look for Spencer. She couldn't help but think of him more and more with each one of the tablets that she read. The feeling soon became unbearable, she put back the tablet she was reading and went outside of Spencer's castle in a hurry. Making her way through the disordered streets in search of him.

Turning every available corner and looking at every possible direction, Castor looked frantically for Spencer. Eventually, she came across the crater in which he was lying. Scanning the center of the hole, Castor was mesmerized by the light being released from the rock, but she quickly identified the silhouette of a body laying next to the meteorite. Following her intuition, she immediately ran down towards the silhouette believing it to be Spencer.

As she made her way towards the silhouette, her frantic movements caused her to lose her footing, and fall. Losing her balance, Castor began to roll down the rest of the way into the crater. She wasn't able to catch herself and spun out of control. Reaching the bottom, she powerfully slammed her head on a small rock, knocking her unconscious and causing her head to bleed profusely.

Castor was relatively close to the meteorite when she was knocked out, causing her body to be bathed in its rainbow-colored rays. Spencer, who was still in slumber was unaware of what was happening around him, his body was putting up no resistance to the space rock's trance.

The field around him dimmed as his body began to float into the air, sending out pulses that violently distorted the space around him. Rocks began to rise into the air and shatter as the density of the pressure around his body increased exponentially.

Reaching a few feet, his body lingered in the air shining a bright dark purple hue. The light attracted the attention of the people in the kingdom as it could be seen from the crater. Mesmerized by the light show, people started to make their way down towards the source forgetting even their injuries. Like moths, they walked towards the source of the light.

The people slowly making their way were determined as the light pulled them in closer. The majority that had already reached the light was placed in a powerful trance-like state, yielding themselves in front of the light's radiance.

Suddenly they began to flicker frantically and sent out crackling bolts of electricity. The light soon started to converge onto itself, seeming as if it was being sucked in by something at its core. Within moments, the light that once shone with incredible radiance was now completely gone, leaving Spencer covered in a layer of purplish energy.

Not soon after, the layer of purple energy quickly began to crack and splinter off, revealing what was underneath. Coming closer to the face of the floating Spencer, his eyes could be seen violently twitching. In the next instant, his eyes popped open with extreme vigor, causing a massive pulse of energy to be released and surge through the bodies of the nearby people. Those touched by the pulse of energy felt their bodies vibrate on contact.

He began to float higher into the air, reaching the point where he could see the entirety of the kingdom in full view. His mind was clear, clearer than it has ever been before. His eyes generate a deep purple glow and release small bursts of electricity into the air. He was surrounded by a slight purple hue that covered the entirety of his body.

Looking down at the world below him, he could feel everything, he could sense every bit of life around him, along with their lifeforce and emotions down to their deepest levels. He could feel all aspects of his body, down to his very own genetic makeup. He was instantly bombarded by the sudden influx of energy within him that was threatening to go on a rampage and erase everything.

His attention was suddenly caught by the sensing of a very weak, fading life force. Looking down to its origin, Spencer was horrified. In his view was none other than the little Castor, who had hit her head and was on the verge of death from the loss of blood. Wasting no time, he rushed over to the little girl.

"Please be okay, please be okay…"

Kneeling and holding her in his arms, he could see how badly she was hurt, the side of her head was bleeding without end and her skull had a visible puncture in it. Spencer was on the brink of panic when he witnessed her condition, his energy responding to his grief by flaring up and going out of control, damaging the area.

Trying to collect himself, Spencer had a feeling as if he could help her. His instincts telling him to hold her closer to his body. Following his senses without waste, he did just that, holding her close against his chest. Her body slowly became covered in the same purple energy his body was emitting.

Her wounds were visibly healing at an incredible speed. Spencer became ecstatic after seeing that it was working, and began to hold her closer to his body. Castor soon opened her eyes to see the face of a relieved smiling Spencer, the face she has been looking for since the beginning. A tear could be seen falling down her face as she quickly embraced his neck and let her pain out in an emotional outburst.

Spencer simply hugged her, tightly holding her against his chest. Trying to express his happiness, he picked her up and floated back into the air. It all came naturally, Spencer looked at all the injured people of his kingdom and couldn't help but be filled with sadness. With his newfound abilities, he could feel every bit of their pain, their loss. This connection was magical but also hellish torture, the pain he felt was intolerable.

Waving his hand, Spencer sent a wave of energy throughout the entirety of the kingdom, following the same feeling he had when he healed Castor. The energy surged and seeped into their bodies, healing them in an instant and rejuvenating their strength. He could no longer sense any dying life signs around him, but he could still feel their sadness.

If it wasn't for his mental fortitude, Spencer would have been overwhelmed by the unending barrage of negative emotions present. He needed to fix everything. Floating overhead, carrying the still sobbing Castor, he made his way to his castle.

Landing at the entrance, entering the halls, he could see people gathering, all of which were confused and disoriented by their sudden rejuvenation. Spencer began walking in the direction of his chambers, those present forming a path for him to walk. He entered his chambers to see Quintus laying on his bed, sitting up and examining himself in confusion while his wife was holding on to him crying tears of joy.

Their attention was caught by the sound of the door opening. Raising his head, Quintus came to see that it was Spencer holding his crying daughter in his arms. Spencer looked at the Quintus family that was present in the room and smiled at the sight that they were all in perfect health, seeming to be regaining their bearings.

Walking over to Rose to give her Castor, he noticed that she was holding onto him with everything she had. Even though she ceased her crying not long ago, she was still reluctant to part. Giving up on removing the girl, he shifted her to his left side and held her up with his arm, signaling rose to let her be.

Carrying Castor in his arms, Spencer walked outside of his castle and began looking for the rest of his most trusted friends. Out of Cassius, Hagen, Dinah, and Mishka, he could only sense the latter, but none of the others.

No matter how hard he searched, how hard he tried, he couldn't find any life signs that would match theirs. His failure to find any only allowed one thought to flow through his mind. He didn't want to, no, he refused to jump to the worst possibility. Flying over the kingdom, he used his senses to the highest degree, trying his hardest to at least find something.

It was only a matter of time before his nose caught their scent. Quickly following it, he traced it back to their source.

"Oh, no…"

The scent of the three halted in the path that the meteor had struck. There was nothing left of the area to show that they were there, he could only realize from the scent that lingered in the wind. Holding his head down to grieve their death, Spencer took some time to think of their time spent together. Despite their struggles, they were still the closest thing he had to a family.

This was the final breaking point for Spencer, the sorrow that permeated the atmosphere was too much for him coupled with the pain of losing two of the people that he experienced building his kingdom with, he couldn't hold on any longer.

Gentle droplets began to fall to the floor below. These droplets weren't the sign of rain or a change in the weather pattern, they were a complete representation of Spencer's deep sadness. His tears flowing from his face as he held a stoic expression, his final attempt at keeping his composure.

Still holding Castor in his arms, he held her closer and looked up at the sky with only one pure thought on his mind.

"No more. I swear… I will protect you all!"
