After coming out of the dark room, the three of them saw around a dozen wolves standing in a line while curiously staring at them.

They were naturally afraid but still kept their cool and stood behind Rak as if he was their only hope right now.

The scar eyed wolf came forward "Everyone! These three humans are our allies for now, don't attack them! We will take them with us. This is the order of our leader!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Let's go back already! I am hungry!"

"Awoo!"

..

..

Weirdly enough, nobody raised their voices against this order given by Rak.

'huh?'

The three of them turned their heads to stare at each other.

"It is weird...why are these wolves ok with us coming to their base?" The mature female human asked with a hushed tone.

Hearing her question, the two of them shook their heads. It seems like they were confused about this as well.

"I mean...just look at the leader...who among them would dare to disobey that abysmal looking giant beast?" Answered the male human.

"Yeah, just from seeing his size, I would surrender as well." The young brown haired female stated fearfully.

Looking at these two idiots, the mature female shook her head before staring ahead silently.

There were many species in this world, some species were closer in relationships like humans and dwarves but most were in conflicts with each other.

Seeing that these wolves from this big forest seemed to not dislike humans made her feel that there must be some kind of secret surrounding this group of grey wolves.

…..

Ben and his three subordinates had finished eating all the meat. During their meal many hungry wild animals or beasts approached them but all of them were chased back by Ben with his flame thrower.

He found out that he only needed to spend 1 unit of urja to use a flamethrower for three times in a row.

Ben was shocked after figuring that out since it was too low, but he also found it acceptable since it was an ability not a skill. His ability right now was also not very special or destructive.

It could only hurt and burn normal animals for now.

In the future, with his increase in urja quantity, he could keep upgrading his abilities.

Thinking of this, he looked at his system interface.

Universal beast system

Owner: Ben clarckson

Ability: Flame thrower(+)

Skills: Basic physical abilities

System ability: Absorb urja, Language Translator( works for both speaking and listening)

Create: Ability or skill

Subordination: Bob(Mana blast)

..

..

Seeing a plus sign behind his flame thrower ability, Ben knew that he could use his abilities using urja, though he won't do it for now.

During their meal, he had asked some questions to the system. He learned that the system created abilities could be upgraded using urja energy, his skills would not be upgradable as he only needs to use more urja to increase the effect of his system created skills. It means that his skills would be upgraded along with his increase in strength.

The language translator ability of the system not only helps him to understand any language of this world but also to speak in any one of them.

Through the subordination function, Ben could directly kill any one of his subordinates if they ever tried to rebel against him, although he didn't know how they would be killed.

The system told him that he only needed to order the system to kill them and they would die.

After consolidating all this information, Ben opened his eyes to stare at his three subordinates.

He stared at Bob before asking "Bob, Now that I can understand you properly, I think it is time for you to tell me about your and your two partner's past histories right?"

Bob was just sitting all relaxed after eating his fill when he suddenly heard Ben's words.

Pop and job also heard his words, they straightened their back and expectantly stared at Bob.

!!

Seeing their expectant gazes, Bob became a bit nervous before looking at their new Boss.

"Yes yes, I actually thought that Boss would never ask...Ahem ahem...actually we three were worker goblins living within a den with other members of the same race. Just this morning, a group of wolves attacked us and killed everyone. Many of the members managed to escape including the three of us, we were just running away when we attracted the attention of a jackal beast and were chased around by it. We thought that we were going to die today when you... boss mysteriously showed up and killed that beast."

The two goblins Pop and Job nodded their heads to show their agreement to his words.

"Do you know why you were attacked?" Asked Ben.

Bob shook his head "No, we were just workers there."

"Ok...then do you three want to take revenge against those wolves?"

Hearing his question, the three of them became silent. They turned their heads to look at each other.

Ben stared at them silently. 'If they want revenge, then I could help them a little by making them stronger, and letting them take revenge on their own. But if they don't....then that is also good, I won't have to make unnecessary enemies.'

After some time, Bob turned his head and stared eye to eye with Ben before saying.

"We actually don't have that kind of intention…..as I have said, we were just workers there without having any sense of belonging. This incident also let us meet with you..our boss so we aren't angry or frustrated with our situation...that's it."

Ben carefully studied their expressions "So...you three don't want revenge?"

This time, the three of them nodded together "Yes, we aren't sad or angry after all. We didn't feel much even after those wolves killed everyone. We three didn't even know each other before and only met by chance while escaping from that den. We are more worried about our lives, Revenge is not our concern."

"Ok then" Ben felt happy after realising that they weren't hungry for revenge.

'Anyways, it is time to get stronger! I should make some plans first, right? Hm….for now, I should just kill wild beasts to absorb their urja energy and get stronger.'

After thinking of this, he stood up from his position "You three stay here and rest, I will go roam around for a bit before coming back."

"Ok" replied Bob.

Pop and job felt suspicious, they thought that their boss would abandon them here and not come back again.

They wanted to sneakily follow behind him but were stopped by Bob.

"Don't worry you two, just trust our boss he will probably come back."

"Ku ku kak i?" (Are you sure?) Asked Pop.

"Yes, I can feel it, right after the boss acknowledged me as his subordinate, and touched my head, I felt a weird power enter inside my body. Why would the boss do it if he wanted to abandon us?"

After hearing his words, Pop thought for a bit before looking at 'job'.

He noticed that his friend Job didn't look too good. She was staring jealousy at Bob. Job was a female goblin.

"Ku Ku ko! ke kr ko kop ka?" (I am jealous! What kind of power did the boss give to you?)

"He he he...I don't know as well." Bob put his right hand's main finger to his nose and laughed embarrassedly.

He could understand what they were saying because they were speaking in broken goblin language, which he can pick up and understand after carefully analysing their tone.

Ben couldn't understand them properly because his system's ability requires the speaker to properly speak their language.

….

On a plain area of the forest, where the grasses were smaller making the place look like a plain garden. A group of three white eyed, light blue coloured wolves were hunting a brown coloured adolescent bear. It was an earth bear.

An adult earth bear would have been able to kill these four wolves alone but the one fighting right now was an adolescent earth bear so it was on the losing end.

Roar!

Awoo!

Raf!

Grrrrr!

Both sides were fighting fiercely with deep roars and growls in between as an attempt to scare the other.

The bear kept trying to punch the wolves but he always missed them. The wolves had cornered the bear to a big tree, and were attacking him using a hunting formation.

One of the wolves moved forward and bit on the right leg of the bear. The bear suffered some pain, and noticed some ice particles started growing on his leg.

Ahh!

Another wolf tried sneak attacking from the left but before it could move, the earth below the jackal protruded a bit, this disrupted the wolf's momentum.

Using this opportunity, the bear directly caught the wolf from the head before crushing its head like a watermelon!

The other wolves got a big fright after seeing one of their comrades dying so brutally.

They backed off a bit in fear of this brown coloured bear.

The bear got some time to catch a breather, the bear and the two wolves stared at each for some time, both parties being in a serious stalemate.

Suddenly!

Two more light-blue coloured wolves appeared from the bushes behind the two slightly injured wolves and attacked the earth bear!

It seems like these two hidden wolves were hiding to look out for the other wild beasts getting attracted here.

Seeing that one of their pack members had died, these two couldn't wait anymore and directly attacked to finish off the bear.

Grrrr!

Awoo!

Roar!

The battle between the earth bear and the wolves started again, many ice particles formed on the ground below these wolves and the bear.

The ground below them became uneven.

Some were protruded like rocks, while some formed and became sharp ground spikes etc etc.

Finally within 5 or 6 minutes, the earth bear was killed by the combined effort of these four light-blue coloured wolves.

While the wolves were celebrating their victory, behind them a pair of suspicious looking eyes was sneakily staring at them.

The owner of this pair of eyes was hidden behind some thick bushes and a tree.

A big tawny yellow coloured beast with a majestic mane surrounding its neck, some whiskers attached at the two sides of his mouth, and a plain face with two majestic but cold looking eyes was the one who was sneakily spying on these jackals.

It was Ben, he was just roaming around the forest looking for small, weak prey.

He wanted to practise hunting and sharpen his hunting skills, after all he can't just rely on his subordinates to hunt for him right?

He was just chasing a small chipmunk animal that he found while roaming around the forest, when he somehow stumbled upon this battle going on between a brown coloured bear, and four blue coloured wolves.
