A lot of circumstances in this world are very strange.

For example, when Chen Ruo Yu was pursuing Meng Gu, she was not sure how deep was her feelings for him.  It was just that she felt he was someone with good qualities, therefore, he would make a good partner, a good target and a good candidate.  Perhaps at that time, the important point she focused on was making a breakthrough in the egoist unacceptable concept of a woman pursuing a man or perhaps it was tension and stress that made her look forward to success and overlooked her own feelings.

That day, Chen Ruo Yu went shopping in the supermarket and met Meng Gu.  She was shocked.  She had stayed in this neighborhood for so long and had come to this supermarket countless times, she had never met him.  After she had made up her mind never to see him again, why did she meet him here?  Could there be really such a coincidence?

Chen Ruo Yu decided to pretend she did not see him.

Chen Ruo Yu did not care about her pain.  Her first reaction was to steal a glance in the direction of Meng Gu.  It was as she had expected.  He heard the commotion and looked in this direction.

She ducked her head into the heap of toilet paper.  She had been shamed so many times in front of him and she did not want to add this incident to the long list.

Everyone came forward to help to pick up the toilet paper rolls.  Chen Ruo Yu was blended into the crowd of people that had gathered around and was thrown into confusion.  She stole another glance and it seems Meng Gu had disappeared.  She breathed a sigh of relief and it seems he had not seen her. 

Returning the pile of toilet paper in its original place, she turned around and headed towards the cashier's counter with the intention to pay and leave.  Just then, she saw a small child bending down to retrieve a roll of toilet paper that had rolled to the side and accidentally knocked his head into the waist of an old lady.

The knock was not hard but it was done.  The old lady was not big in stature but her voice was not small.  She scolded the small child ferociously.  The small child stood there foolishly and listened to her.  Chen Ruo Yu pushed her shopping cart past them, she did not intend to interfere but however, she did not see the small child's parents around.  The old lady became angrier.  Chen Ruo Yu took a few steps forward, could not stand it and turned back to them. 

"Auntie, do the knock still hurts?"

"Nonsense, you can try getting knocked!  Ill-mannered child, where are your eyes?  I just don’t know how your parents teach you.  My waist is hurt!"

"Auntie, you have maintained yourself well.  Your waist is so tender."  The adjective that Chen Ruo Yu had used made the old lady look at her in surprise.

At the check-out point, she chose the cashier's counter that was at the furthest corner of the row.  Just as she was wondering what high-end goods were Meng Gu selecting at this moment, she suddenly her waist tightened and was touched lightly.

Chen Ruo Yu turned around and looked back.  She saw Meng Gu grinning at her with his mouth opened displaying his white teeth.

"Such a coincidence."

"Yes, I'm here to shop, not here to crash into someone's toilet paper hill."
