I gave the mic to Makoto beside me and stood up after finishing the song.
"I'll go to the restroom"
"sure."
I twisted the doorknob and left
I went along the coridor and went to the men's restroom.
After coming out I didn't go back immediately, I went to the balcony I saw earlier and breathe some fresh air.
I needed to cool off.
Just thinking about my parents made my eyes go red.
I opened the pack of gummy bears I left in my pants pocket.
Looking at the buildings I've never seen before while chewing them.
□ □ □
About 5 to 10 minutes passed and I decided to go back.
"Hana?"
I saw a girl wearing the same uniform being surrounded.
Looking closely, it was our dear kohai.
But what are those boys doing?
I went closer to them and called out to her.
"Ah Hugo-"
Seeing me, she tried to come near me
"who are you?"
One of the guys asked me with a frown as he blocked her way
I ignored him and tilted my head slightly to look at Hana and asked
"Hana, do you know them?"
"No"
She shook her head
"Ha! Hey! I was talking to you"
The same guy asked me again.
I turned to him and answered with a question as I broke through their circle.
"May I ask if you have any business with her?"
"What does that have to do with you?!"
Another guy with a dyed hair yelled
I pulled Hana out of the guys who encircled her.
"Hmm...well, because..."
I thought of some reasons plausible enough to make them leave.
When I did, I smiled at them as I placed my arm on Hana's shoulder.
"...her boyfriend."
Sadly, all I could come up with was this, thanks to my grandfather and his dramas...
Well, it was a good thing they left then, though only after some more time and yelling.
Still, this things really happens in real life?
I don't know what to say...
I let go of Hana after seeing them out of sight.
I glanced at her bowing.
"Thank you"
"you're welcome, here, let's go"
I gave her the packet full of gummy bears in my hand.
She walked beside me and nibbled some in her mouth.
I opened the door to our room for her then went inside after.
"You guys really took you're time"
"well, things happened"
I answered vaguely.
I never thought I would experience those cliches in dramas.
