From the spar, Fafnir learned more about her body.

"Ah... How interesting," she said as her hand turned to ink-like darkness.

For Cirrus, he learned as well such as one; he didn’t lose his strength. His strength just got deadlier than his muscles were now highly dense and compact, giving him even more speed. Two he could feel his body be more efficient in its consumption, a single loaf of bread is enough to fill him for about half a day before his stomach grumbles, but his water intake is more or less the same depending on what he did and eat. Three, he found his body can heal and recover a lot quicker on its own but still nothing compared to the use of a potion.

He found that last part in bed.

Near the Elsos Ruins.

“Push them back!!!” shouted Finn. “Its lair is in sight!! Just a bit more!!”

“URAAAA!!!!!!”

They have been fighting the hoard for about almost 2 weeks now they are at the end of September.

“It’s hard to believe we've been here for so long.” Said Welf as he and the rest of his Familia eat their lunch. “I’ve lost count of how many magic swords I made and were destroyed… actually no, that’s a lie, Lili. How much did I make?”

“About 133 in total and about 8 are still around.”

Boom!!!!

“My magic sword is out! Go! Go!” shouted Raul.

“Make that 7 now.” She said as she takes a bite of her food.

“I understand how you feel, Welf… it really feels like we're part of a big Familia! working together with several other people, eating, sleeping, and fighting with them.” Said Bell.

“Yes, one’s comradery grows when under these circumstances.” Said Mikoto.

“And they provide good experience and learning.” Said Haruhime. “But it seems we are nearing the end of this hoard.”

“From what I can gather tomorrow is when we will finally kill it,” Lili said.

“Finally… after so long we can return to our rebuilt home and take a nice enjoyable bath! Ahh~~♥ I can't wait!” said Mikoto, thinking of a warm bath.

“… I wonder what Lady Hestia is doing right now?” asked Bell.

Back in Orario.

“Ugh… cleaning these things if not for the money I wouldn’t have done this!” Hestia said as she help clean up the 3rd tower of the Artemis Familia.

Back to Bell and the others.

“Bell, Mikoto, it is time for our shift.” Said Ais.

“Alright.” He said as he and Mikoto got up.

“Aren’t you going Haruhime?” asked Lili.

“Not yet, unless it’s an emergency. I still have another hour left.”

“Lucky I have another—“

“Welf!” shouted Eupheme. “We got more weapons to fix up! You can finish your food on the way!”

“Damn.”

Later on the battlefield.

“[Firebolt]!!!!”

“[Tempest]!!!!”

Boooooom!!!!!!!

Bwooooosh!!!!

They destroyed a large swath of dead land along with an army of black scorpions.

“Combination attacks, a rather useful thing!” said Gareth.

“It took some time and effort, but thanks to Ais and Cirrus first doing it, we now have a far greater range in power.” Said Finn.

“And any combination with Ais’s wind is utterly terrifying.” Said Riveria. “Thankfully because of White Rabbit’s magic being so quick and easy to use, we can easily clear waves easily.”

“And it serves as good motivation for the mages as well! I have never seen them chant so quickly!” said Gareth with a happy expression on his face.

“And Beta… seems that magic tool he’s testing out for Cirrus will change how the world sees Werewolves now.” Said Riveria as she looks to the west to see Beta bulldozing hoards upon hordes of scorpions.

“Unfortunately, it’s still being developed." Asfi said it needs a few fine tunings before Beta can be around other people while it is in use,” Finn said.

Beta at the moment.

“RAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Currently using a magic tool in the shape of a collar around his neck

A few meters up from watching him fight was Asfi.

“To think you would use a curse like this… forcibly showing them illusions of a full moon to trick a werewolf’s senses… as he said, write any information.” She said, writing down Beta’s actions. “I’m still far from reaching your level of skill, but one step at a time.”

Knossos.

“So… the monster we took and raised and then was turned into a Corrupted Spirit was… killed?” said Ein.

“Yes.” Said Neze. “Cirrus allowed Nox to use her magic, and it completely wiped Xuanlong out. We were a few miles away and we could feel the blast from the edge of the desert.”

“Just like the mountain… gone in a flash of divine illumination.” Said Thanatos.

“…” Ein stayed silent for a bit. “It would seem I didn’t account for Nox’s magic. Tell me, how dangerous is it?”

“If she was allowed, she could easily erase us along with Babel and everything within a 10-mile radius if she was given everything Cirrus has to offer, which from my estimate is enough to destroy 10 or more floors of the Dungeon.”

“That’s about right spirits of her generation are a few cuts above whatever this one here,” Thanatos said, patting Neze’s shoulder. “Could ever hope to achieve. She could eat magic stones for years on end and still wouldn’t amount to what Grand Spirits are capable of, like Nox.”

“Is this true?” Ein looked at Neze for her answer.

“Yes, unless we have at least 2 more of her caliber, we would do well to fight in areas where she can’t use the full brunt of her magic, so either the dungeon or here.”

“And Circe?”

“She is from the 1st generation, but more of a… generation 1.5 as a majority of Unique Spirits are,” said Thetis. “Then there is what she specializes in, which is more of a support than a vanguard like Nox is.”

“… Then it seems the Knossos will be our battleground; we will have Valletta be in charge of the control of the Knossos along with Barca. Have Dix and—“

“He’s at work,” Thetis said.

“Work as in—“

“Yes,” Thanatos said as he walks away. “He needs to make up for the lost time he wasn’t working on his family curse.”

“Tch… inform him that we will be going to battle in the Knossos.” She said as she left. ‘Lord Enyo… we may not be able to kill them all, but it is enough to push them back.’

A bit later, Revis returned from the Dungeon.

“Neze, where is Wu? Did she also—“ asked Revis.

“No, she simply left to find a poison that can kill Cirrus.”

“On the surface?” said Thetis, surprised. “I doubt there is anything up there that can kill that human.”

“Who knows, but at least I know she won't do anything reckless. Seeing Nox’s power truly set her straight? How is the nursery? Any more of our kind ready to be born?”

“Unfortunately, no, it’ll be awhile before we get any more of our kind. Neze you can take him, right? So long as it’s here or the dungeon, Nox will be taken out of the equation!”

“No, even with my strength, Cirrus would easily defeat me. When we arrived in the desert, we could hear their battle last only for 5 minutes. Cirrus has been hiding his true fangs, and they can easily pierce us all.”

“Then we should probably get off this sinking ship and return to the Dungeon and get stronger,” Revis said. “They have too much power for us to handle so we shall wait for them in the Dungeon there. We can take our time and grow stronger while they will need to dive deeper and weaker, trying to survive in the dungeon's harshness.”

“I agree. In the meantime, we can tend to the nursery and build up our own forces.” Said Thetis. “But it would be a shame if you test out your strength and weapons, right? Neze.”

Neze could see a slightly sadistic smile slowly creep on Thetis’ face.

“I do not wish to risk incurring his anger and possibly shortening the time we have to grow stronger. And how is Aruba’s status?”

“She is doing well. That load of magic stones meant for Xuanlong really helped her out.” Revis said.
