The audience was on edge, waiting for one of them to make the first move when Hermes shouted.

“FIGHT ON!!!”

Like the drop of a coin hitting the ground, Cirrus went first, quickly closing the distance right before Lance makes a simple slash making Cirrus jump back a bit.

“… Your faster than a level 2… maybe even a speed of a high level 3.”

‘He’s intuitive… far too good for me to do reckless shit… but maybe—‘

Before Cirrus knew it was Lance who attacked next, his speed quickly closed the gap, and with a split second to react as Lance kicked him in his stomach, Cirrus reacted by jumping back as fast as he could.

‘Disengage!’

Crash!!!

Being sent flying through a home, Cirrus was regaining his breath and composure.

‘Shit! Shit! That fucking hurts!!!’

He quickly got up and found a pot lid.

“…. if only I can parry like Link.”

He leaves it there and walked out. Walking out with the pot lid covering his face. It surprised many Cirrus could get back up.

“You're very durable as well. I don’t know whether that’s good or sad a child such as you experienced so much pain,” Lance said.

“It’s the first one, (Exousía, Adorn: Erymanthian).”

“!?”

Another set of armor wrapped around Cirrus as he charged at Lance again. Cirrus swung his spear again, using the centrifugal force that Lance found to be rather impressive far more than Cirrus’s swordsmanship.

Wanting to see what he could do, Lance decided he would block the attack and got into a stance.

‘I know this is just a spar but what other chances could one get matching their strength and skill against one who could be said as this world’s strongest mortal?’

A slight grin appeared on Cirrus as he got into a range of Lance.

“Block this!!”

As he swung the spear once more, he placed his body weight into it, using even gravity to bolster the strike. As he swung it from the bottom, the muscles in Cirrus’s body bulged as he swung with all of his might.

“!!”

CLANG!!!!!!!!!!!!

CLANG!!!!!!!!!!!

The attack reverberated through the area and buildings; smoke covered it from the swing. As the smoke died down, they could see Cirrus’s arms bleeding, barely holding his spear.

When they looked at Lance, they found he was pushed back a considerable amount with only the handle of Cirrus’s sword remaining and a slight cut on his shoulder.

“Damn… it wasn’t enough…”

“Hmm….” Lance touched his wound and looked around. “You did very well. If not for the quality of this blade, I would have a much bigger cut on me.” he then picked up a stick and walked towards Cirrus.

‘Disengage!’ he jumped back, covering his face with his hand as the armor evaporated.

“(Exousía, Adorn).”

As Cirrus was equipping his armor, Lance, from a few feet away, simply swung the stick at Cirrus and a sword slash struck him.

“Gah!!!”

Sending him flying even further through multiple buildings.

Laying on the ground, Cirrus’s mind thought of one thing.

‘…. Fuck, people like him must be terrifying when angered.. but that sword slash was cool as hell…’

He then passed out cold as his magic disappears leaving behind a rather bloody Cirrus.

Lydia and the others quickly rush toward Cirrus while Hermes met up with Poseidon.

“That child of yours is incredibly impressive! But why have we not heard of him?”

“That is because he is being kept secret, his strength is being nurtured to help deal with Evilus, having a piece like him who can move unrestricted will be extremely beneficial.”

“I see… I will make a sure word of him doesn’t escape, Melen.”

Walking up to them, Lance bows.

“I am sorry, Lord Hermes, if I may have harmed your child.”

“No, no, it's quite alright! He will be fine!”

“I see… would you be staying at the Snapper’s Inn?”

“We will, why?”

“I wish to give him a replacement for the sword I broke.”

“Is that so? How very generous of you!”

“Hey Lance, what do you think of that child?” asked Poseidon.

“I think he’s a very powerful high level 3, he has worked to polish his skills, his spearmanship, in particular, is incredibly polished, the way he swung his spear was nothing I have ever seen, the amount of force that came into that attack was enough to easily cut down a level 4 if they are not prepared.”

“What do you think, Hermes? Is my boy right?”

“Hm, hm! I agree with him on his thoughts, but you should know that he only barely made it to level 3 just a few days ago.”

“!!!”

It shocked Poseidon and Lance to hear this.

“What kind of monster did you find, Hermes?”

“So my feeling wasn’t wrong…”

‘But with his level and age, he’s more of a monster than Alfia, he has no sickness holding him back and all the time in the world to grow and learn… a true genuine monster on the likes this world has never seen.’

A smile appeared on Lance’s face.

“Lord Hermes, how long are you staying in Melen?”

“Huh? um… just until those merchants Poseidon mentions come, why?”

“May I ask of you to let me train Zephyr?”

“You wish to train the boy!” shouted Poseidon.

“Yes, I can see a lot of potential in him and for the time ahead, Orario will need a powerful protector.”

A smile appeared on Hermes' face.

“Of course!”
