Chapter 14

Recap

The captain started showing signs of despair on his face before he finally saw what he was searching for.

A golden barrier was erected with 4 people inside, The captain's face lit up with joy, yet with that his determination fell and his body collapsed.

This earned a raised eyebrow from number 1 who was ignorant of the event happening outside of this dome since the area was filled with smoke.

Hideo also saw his leader die and his hope for salvation in the far distance. He almost shed tears of joy at the fact that his efforts weren't worthless.

Hideo ran with the little amount of energy available to him. He ran and ran until the golden barrier became closer and closer. Gradually, he had tears streaming down his face.

"I'm alive, AHAHAHAHA!"

He shouted when he was halfway near the barrier, but out of the corner of his eye he saw a hand approaching his head. He wanted to dodge, but his tired body wouldn't listen to his commands.

The hand touched his face and the voice of the body that stepped out of the shadows said "Noisy."

Then the world went black for Hideo.

*3rd Pov*

Number 1 indifferently looked a distance away as Hiteo's head was turned so dark that anyone would be unable to identify him.

He locked eyes with Azure, who was gazing back at him, with an expression that showed he was tired of games.

The ground between Azure and the numbers who were standing on a metal table was grey, a normal color for concrete.

Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for the rest of the place. The only things visible in this entire building were scorched grounds that had darkened significantly and corpses.

All of the dead had expressions of pain and agony on their faces. The environment also helped support the claim as there were still small wisps of fire littered around the place.

However, both Azure and Number 1 were indifferent to this scene, as if these deaths were below them to care about. The rest of the numbers couldn't be said to be the same.

Occasionally glancing at Azure, they each had expressions of reverence for the strength and fear that this monster was their enemy.

After looking at Azure Number 1 I finally said, "How ruthless." My, my, aren't you supposed to be some hero? "

Azure, however, remained silent and only continued to coldly gaze at Number 1 not letting any of his movements slip his sight.

Silence prevailed for what seemed like an eternity till number 3 who is a hot head, looked at Azure's silent face and thought that Azure was looking down on them.

Overcoming his fear, Number 3 shouted, "Hey! You monster, even though you killed all those villains, you must be tired while there are 4 of us who can fight you, so just give up or I'll let you taste our bombs personally. "

Berating number 3 number 2 shouted "Number 3!"

Number 1 had a look of indifference as if this wouldn't make a change in his plans, Number 2 looked like he was in pain despite not fighting personally the whole time, while Number 3 looked confused as to why he was shouted at, and Number 4 looked timid and shy.

Azure finally decided to speak, but when he did, the number's expression, even number 1, was visible.

"So what if you have numbers? I already know how your quirk works. " Azure's mouth rose into a small smile behind his mouth mask, extending from his neck to his nose.

The numbers besides number 1 who twitched his lips, all had a look of shock, and disbelief on their faces.

But Azure wasn't done shocking them as he revealed what their quirks were and how they produced their combination move.

Starting with number 1 Azure said, "Your quirk should be a domain ability. It allows you to control anything that's inside it. " You appear as the leader and the one who produced the effect, but it is only a ruse.

Moving on to the other numbers, Azure looks at the twitches of pain on number 2's body.

"When I was fighting, I saw behind all the chaos 'that guy' (number 3) put his hand in my flames. Then he took his hands out of the flames without a change in his expression, but you, who hardly moved, looked as if you'd been the one to be burned. And the flames always exploded  5 seconds after they were sent towards me.

And 'you' (number 4) were anxious and, instead of worrying about your teammate who was in pain, you ran straight to heal him. Also, you 4 were protected by a large chunk of guards even though the situation was perilous, so your quirk must be a domain quirk, a bomb or explode quirk, a pain transferring quirk, and a healing quirk. "

The silence was so loud, a pin could be heard as 3 of the only 5 people left alive were in a state of shock. 'He deciphered out combination moves in a matter of one fight.' That was the thought passing through the numbers, except number 1.

After the initial shock came fear: fear of his strength, fear of his intelligence, and envy of his chance to be powerful. And after the fear, and envy came hatred and rage. Number 3, felt humiliated by this enemy.

Number 3 looked at the others and then nodded his head, and without further informing them he activated "that" method at once. "HAHAH, that pesky bastard, die in a flurry of EXPLOSIONS!" light began to shine behind the ordinary rubble.

And with his words, light filled the area. For an unknown number of times, this building shook from the force. Number 1 who was watching as a bystander, wondered if this building would fall at any moment.

Wisely number 3 didn't laugh at Azure Until he saw his face and confirmed that he didn't just shrug off that attack.

Azure emerged from behind the smoke, panting heavily and with one of his arms transformed into a wing several times larger than his current arm length to protect himself.

Looking at Azure's panting self, number 3 finally gloated, "Hah, that's what you get. Where's your arrogant look? Hmmm? Sure, you guessed my quirk, but that super move made it so I could control the time of the explosion. Are you ready to submit it? Or do you want a taste of my explosions again.

Azure still didn't respond to the provocation, but number 3 was content to listen to his adversary's heavy breathing.

The other numbers were also content and happy that their enemy was weak and was going to be defeated soon at this rate. They couldn't wait to see the look of despair he would have on his face.

The only person whose face didn't change at all was number 1. He spoke up after a long while, "Are you done acting?"
