Azure's mouth twitched as he listened to what number 1 was saying. 'He was able to get so much information from such little encounters, and that's not even counting the fact that the distance between where Azure fought the villains and where the numbers were currently located was at least 100 feet! '

Azure decided to be more vigilant against any schemes that number 1 was plotting. However, even though he received shocking news, his confidence didn't falter.

After thinking about it for a minute, Azure raised his head to see the confused face of number 1's subordinates, who didn't understand any of what was just said.

Azure then opened his mouth and retorted with his cold eyes that held a twinkle of amusement, "Then are YOU done acting?"

Hearing the familiar words, the number 1's subordinates couldn't help but have their eyes bulge out, and they said simultaneously, "AGAIN???"

______________________________________________________________________________

The numbers have been together for quite a while. The first to come together was number 3 when he was 28, and number 4 when he was 16. They had met up, and because of the similarity of their quirks, they formed a team.

Then, 2 years later, when both numbers 3 and 4 were still at the bottom of the association's ranks, numbers 1 and 2 came a few months apart from each other, forming the team now known as the numbers.

Number 1 took on the leadership role with his personality, and since the others didn't fit the role, there was no competition.

After a few months of their dynamic, they found that number 1's  scheming abilities were outstanding. He was able to scheme against veterans in the organization. Whether framing, enticing, or defaming, he could do it all.

He was so good at it that they, who were a no-name team merely 6 months ago, got the opportunity to join Kenji, one of the 6 court guards, on a mission as an associate team.

Number 3 had held a meeting with Numbers 2 and 4 the day after Number 1 had declared himself leader.

Although he was a muscle brain, he had personally seen number 1's schemes and frightening personality, allowing him to understand that even "his fearless guts" was nothing in front of number 1.

After hours of discussing, the group decided that even though they didn't want the position of leader, if they ever did, they must burry that desire deep inside themselves.

For number 1 is a ruthless man, even to himself!

Once he had schemes against a businessman who worked with the organization for some wealth. When that business man disregarded number 1's threat, he went missing. A few days later, a mangled corpse was discovered.

It was unrecognisable to the point that even the person's mother wouldn't be able to tell who it was.

The corrupted police only managed to realize it was the businessman because of his blood! But it was hushed under the table.

Number 3 shivered, remembering that memory.

His leader already held an astronomically high position in his heart, but hearing that even he was almost fooled and that this whole fight had been a scheme against them not only made him feel angry, but also added to the layer of mystery and unfathomable he had towards Azure.

He was considering whether he was dreaming, but when he woke out of his stupor, he thought he saw a reaper standing behind Azure, holding a scythe around his neck, waiting to reap away.

He couldn't help but hold a tinge of fear towards this mysterious enemy. In his mind, he thought, 'This is a battle between two monsters. But…the leader should be able to beat this guy…right?'

However, when he turned his thoughts back to the present, he was destined to be even more shocked at this unknown assailant.

Number 1 merely raised his eyebrow and mumbled, "Hmm?"

Azure took that as his cue to explain his own findings. "You know, from this whole fight, I thought things were suspicious. Things seem too coincidental.

When mysterious and powerful attacks come at critical junctures, when this "Kenji" appeared and attacked me, the number of these "attacks" decreased accordingly.

When I attacked and injured Kenji, someone "mysteriously" killed Kenji at that moment, and the blame was put on me.

Then the villains attacked me en-mass while four individuals stayed in the back and observed the situation.

I killed a large number of villains and used multiple super moves that should have demonstrated my strength, but you didn't seem the least bit concerned...almost as if you were aware of my abilities or as if I wasn't something that you were ever going to worry about.

I even got rid of all the villains here besides your little crew, solving the problem of witnesses for you. If you kill me, then any story you spin goes.

So, mister fate weaver, does this story sound similar? Hmm. "

Number 3 had his eyes building out of his sockets and constantly turned his head towards Azure, who walked around in a small circle while reciting his story. With the Azure Flames behind him, he seemed like a demon god, telling a story to the mortals in the midst of destruction.

And number 1 who remained unfazed throughout the entire story, besides a curl of his mouth upwards at the end.

Azure continued his speech. On the surface, I appeared to benefit at all times, but every time a ray of light shone that I might succeed, a cloud of darkness blocked the smidgen of light shining through.

And further away, stands someone on a hill, gazing upon all the events while bathing in a golden ray of light.

Seemingly unsuspecting besides a glance or two and some envy, but to me this is the most suspicious point. Even if your mentality is good, how is it that every time my future looks positive, you remain stone-faced? "

After that, Azure scrunched up his eyebrows as if he did not understand the next question he was going to ask.

"-The only thing that puzzles me is: why?"

Creation is hard. Cheer me up! Another week, another update; exams are kicking my a$$!; I'm almost done with this fight and the arc! If anyone is wondering, this fight in my head was only around 4 chapters long, not this HUGE fight. The ideas just kept flowing into my head when I wrote and this happened. Anyway, this arc is almost over, with maybe 10 or so chapters left, but don't quote me! I hope you enjoy the chapter and see you all next week. Adiós.
