*3rd Pov*

Laying on the grass near a park are two kids, gasping and panting for breath. They both have minor injuries like cuts, scratches, burns, etc.

In spite of this, they both wore smiles that reached from ear to ear across their faces. They smiled so brightly that it wouldn’t be odd if someone thought it had been set there.

After a while, the ash-haired boy sat up and looked at his blue-eyed acquaintance and asked him, "Hey Dante, with your powerful quirk, why do you protect that loser?"

Taking a minute to consider the question, the blue-eyed one responded, "We’ll, he’s not that bad to hang out with and he’s smart. Plus, if I’m to be the number 1 hero, I need to start practicing, and what better way than to protect someone."  said Dante, sticking his thumb out in an up position.

Looking at his idiotic "friend", Bakugo could get a little irritated. For the past two weeks, whenever he saw Dante at the playground, he would challenge this guy to a fight. But every time it was either a draw, or his loss. And when Deku, as he calls him, was near, he would protect him and disregard his own body.

Bakugo considered this to mean that Dante thinks he can beat Bakugo and protect Deku at the same time. So, he would constantly attack Deku, but every time Dante used his body or some other means to fend off the attack, he would heal up as if he had never been hurt.

But... Like, doesn’t it ever get annoying whenever that damn ner…Deku talks so damn much and is too weak to help you. " Bakugo asked in an uncertain tone.

"Well yeah, it gets annoying. He talks so much, and despite having so much energy and having a great goal, he can’t protect himself. He reminds me of those people on TV.

They like All Might so much and constantly praise him, yet they can’t be him. Deku wants to be a hero, but he can’t be a hero. He himself is his own biggest obstacle. He wants to be a hero, but he doesn’t have the spirit.

He wants to protect everybody but won’t protect himself, so yeah, that's annoying, but he’s cool in other ways. He can give me information about people and their quirks and can help me devise a plan to defeat my "enemies".

Besides, as long as you think of him as a civilian, he becomes an annoyance and not a problem. I can ignore his hero comments and protect him with a huge smile on my face. "

Listening to Dante’s response, Bakugo couldn’t help but be impressed by how much Dante had thought of, but when he remembers that they had been talking about Deku for 5 minutes, he instantly stands up and says…

"Wanna fight again," said Bakugo in a proactive manner, lighting small explosions on his hands.

When Dante saw this, he leapt to his feat and covered his fist in azure flames. He replied…

"You're on."

* Timeskip 3 Years*

Musutafu Mall

*Asuka Pov*

"Honey, what should we get our son for his 10th birthday?" said Daisuke.

"Well, he fights a lot, so why don’t we get him some flame-resistant gloves? I'll call him and ask which kind and color he wants. Why don't you go and get us a drink over at the food court." I say, digging in my pocket for my phone. Calling Dante, I hear a ring and then he picks up.

"Dante, can you hear me?"

"Yeah, mom," Dante said.

"Dante, we are at the mall and we want to know what type of gloves you like."

"Well, I like black ones that are from anywhere."

"Alright, stay on the call so I can describe them when I see some."

After saying that, I walked towards the shop that sells custom quirk gear, but before I arrived,

*Booooooom*

A villain burst into the mall, breaking a wall that blasted off and buried and killed many civilians in the rubble.

"I'm the villain, Great White, and you'll be my victims as I make my debut in the world." weird shark man, said while posing.

"Honey," I scream, watching my husband get buried under the rubble, with no knowledge of his life or death.

"Mom." My son said on the other end of the phone, sounding worried.

"Son, I'm fine, but please quiet down, I need to think," I say, trying not to think about the worst. My instincts tell me that this villain is dangerous, and I'll need backup to take him down. Pulling out my work phone, I called for assistance in dealing with this villain.

"All heroes not preoccupied, please come to Musutafu Mall immediately. A high-tier villain has appeared. I request backup." Said Asuka, better known as the pro hero Eagle.

After saying that, I transform into an eagle and fly down, trying to preoccupie the villain.

*10 Min Later*

I've been fighting with this villain for 10 minutes and I can't seem to get a decent hit on him. His quirk makes him a great white shark, which means that my talons can barely scratch him. I need backup immediately.

As if answering my words, the coms that were silent for the last 10 minutes were loud and ready.

"Mink is here for backup."

"Rumble is here for backup."

"X-Ray is here for backup."

Hearing so many heroes coming, I see hope at last. If they all come, we might be able to stall for more time and we could wait for someone more suited to beat this villain.

However, fate has a funny way of playing with people because just as the glimmer of hope was within reach, it disappeared. It was taken away and disappeared in the next moment, leaving only the darkness that would eventually turn into despair.

"As the operation's commander, I pro hero Sergeant demand that all pro heroes ranked above the top 50 in the area provide civilian support outside the mall; do not rush in.

If you do, you will be in violation of Hero Code Section 15: Fights involving high tier villains without detailed information only allow heroes ranked 50 and below to participate. Breaking of this code will result in investigation, temporary or permanent hero license removal, "said the sergeant.

‘Damn, there is no top 50. ’ That was all I could manage to think before I was thrashed against a wall, a pipe piercing through my stomach. The only thing I can think is 'Ah, I'm not going to make it.'

*3rd Pov*

Hearing the sergeant's words made the heroes waver. They were new and also had lives, they needed this job, and, hearing the punishments, they couldn’t help but ask themselves, ‘is it really worth it.’

However, dispelling those thoughts, Mink asked, "But Sergant, Eagle could die.".

The Sergant couldn’t help but sigh upon hearing Minks' words. "I know, but she is ranked 39, and as commander, I am responsible for trying to reduce the number of casualties. If you all who aren't even ranked below 50 rush into a fight with no information, there is a high chance you will just be pointlessly sending yourself to your death.

Besides, Eagle has 17 years of experience under her belt. There's no way she could die. She managed to wait here for 10 minutes, so I believe she could hold on for another 5. "

*Dante Pov 10 Minutes Eairlier*

I heard an explosion over the phone and after it died down, I heard Mom screaming something.

"Mom," I say while clutching my phone.

"Son, I'm fine, but please quiet down, I need to think." Mom said, sounding like she was in a hurry.

Then the phone goes all static for 10 minutes, and I start worrying about mom. Thinking: "Where is Dad?" Is she OK? What is happening? ’

Soon it cleared up a bit just for me to hear, " the commander for this operation, pro hero Sergeant, demands that all pro heroes above the top 50 ranked in the vicinity provide civilian support outside the mall, do not rush in.

If you do, you will be in violation of Hero Code Section 15: Fights involving high tier villains without detailed information only allow heroes ranked 50 and below to participate. Breaking of this code will result in investigation, temporary or permanent hero license removal. "

Hearing this, I'm instantly infuriated at them; how can they wait for information while my mom could be dying. Heroes are heroes; regardless of rank, they can at least provide assistance.

But I snap out of my thoughts and dread what I will hear next. My mom, in a weak voice, says, "Son, your dad and I won't be able to come back home, so when we are not around, please eat a lot so you can grow up big and strong..cough..cough.. Make sure you get plenty of sleep.. cough.. I'm sorry Dante, but don't blame yourself, it's not your fault that this happened. Although I won't physically be there, I'll be watching you become a hero and save everyone around you. " Then the call abruptly ended.

*Plop! The phone dropped, but I can't believe it. No, I won't believe it. I paced back and forth in the house for hours, waiting for mom and dad to walk through the doors.

----

Hours passed by and as soon as the sun set, it rose again. I'm sitting on the couch, waiting. Countless thoughts ran through Dante's head at this moment.

‘Is it my fault, since she was there to buy my birthday present? It must be I'm the reason she died. Why did she die? She can’t be dead. That has to be some prank. "

Dante heard a knock at the door and, deluding himself into believing that it was his parents, he dragged his tired body over to the door and opened it.

*Knock...Knock*

However, opening the door Dante was greeted with "Hello, is Dante here." Said a police officer.

Yeah, it's me." Peaking his head outside of the door, Dante looks around, trying to find something.

"Are you looking for something?" asked the police officer uncomfortably.

Yeah, I’m looking for a camera. I mean there's no way my parents would die so this has to be a prank right?"

Seeing the separate look in Dante's eyes made the police officer unable to say anything.

Dante, who heard no response, was confused. "Why aren’t you answering me, this is a prank right…Come on, I won’t tell, so it's fine. "

Still not getting a response, Dante looked into the eyes of the police officer and only saw pity. This caused him to become anxious, and he repeatedly asked, "Is this a joke? It has to be a joke, right? Right? Right? "

Finally, the police officer couldn’t handle seeing the boy break in front of him, so he remorsefully said.

" Yes, Dante, we are here to inform you that despite the heroic actions your mother took and the speedy time the hero responded to the call, both your mother and father have unfortunately passed away due to a villain attack." the officer said, bowing.

My brain goes numb and I quickly recall the events of yesterday and how those BASTARDS of heroes left my mother to die.

"That makes no sense. There were here on the scene…Heroes that YOU people didn’t send in."

Dante was in a panic. All he could think after the police confirmed his worst thoughts were ‘it's my fault. I’m the reason they are dead aren't I."

"Yes, there were and, on behalf of all heroes and police, we are deeply ashamed and apologize." Your mothers' and fathers' deaths weren’t your fault, it was the fault of the system and villains. Please don’t blame yourself. We will be back in 3 days to take you into foster care.

The police officer quickly walked away. He was not a fan of doing these jobs, especially since they broke his heart nearly every time.

Dant was just standing there processing the police officer's last sentence. "It's not my fault. It's the villains and the system's fault. "

Repeating these words hundreds of times, Dante finally let out a small chuckle.

"hahaHaHa HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Of course, the answer is so simple. It's the rotten system's faults and the villains. SO that means that they both should not be followed and be eradicated.

Right? Right? Right? Of course, All I have to do is get rid of the villains. And if I do that, it's not revenge but JUSTICE! So simple. I kill all the villains and get rid of some grudges.

This name just won’t do then, will it? No, not at all, I think Azure Bird. Yeah, that has a nice ring to it.

*Somewhere else*

Under the rubble is a man barely alive, struggling.

"HELP! I’m under here and I need to go home. " Daisuke kept struggling, trying to free himself, but he stopped and shivered when he heard that voice come out of nowhere.

"Oh, Daisuke, you made me go through so much work."

Looking at the suspicious man, Daisuke was very wary of him.

"Who are you!" Daisuke demanded.

"I have many names, but there is no need to tell a dead man. You made me go through so much work, I hope you were worth the trouble. If you are, then I might just have to set my sights on the young fledgling next. "

With these ominous words, the man walked towards Daisuke and proceeded to put his hand on his face. "Don't worry, this will be over soon."

Before Daisuke turned into an empty, dry husk, he screamed like he'd never screamed before.Walking back, the mysterious man stumbled. "Take it easy, know," someone else said after he regained his balance.still adjusting. "

"I know this is my rest and adaptation period, but I just couldn’t let him wait. Besides, everything in this world is All For One!!!"
