Seoul - Vision

The day was turning into night as some stars out in the distance were becoming visible, Mercury was out of the house and on the porch, looking into the distance as he would remember ever so often in his past memories that he would get close to a star just to see its magnificent color 

A blue one. Was the best view 

Mercury was taken out of his thoughts as he heard footsteps coming to him 

“What are you looking at?” 

“Space…..stars” Mercury replied to Lila as she was standing beside Mercury and reaching up to his thighs as she held his hand.

“Shouldn’t you be asleep?” He asked as he saw her in pajamas. She giggled a bit and made a Shh gesture “Mommy and daddy doesn’t know. We have superhero’s in our house!” 

Mercury chuckled a bit and wondered if the planets he was on and killed, did they have people like this? Did he take the inhabitants joy and their way of life?

He kept thinking about this and the prime eternal he met a few days ago. ‘Maybe it’s time to hope…to move on’ He thought as he heard every avenger and nick fury talking in the kitchen 

“Alright missy we can’t let your parents know your awake” He said as she groan but then she yelp as she was floating up to her room through her window 

“Thanks” she said as she waved and closed the window. He walked into the kitchen when the avengers were talking about a body

“To become better. Be better than us. He keeps making bodies” Steve said as he thought about a certain friend he has “like Mercury”

Everyone looked around and saw that he wasn’t here.

“Yes. Person bodies. The human form is inefficient, biologically speaking, we're outmoded. But he keeps coming back to it.” 

“That’s why he wants Mercury so desperately. Mercury is synthetic but in a way he is the perfect human. He can eat,sleep and somewhat bleed like us. Ultron wants that” Tony replied to Bruce statement as Mercury walked in 

“I know I’m handsome but please, take in the view” everyone rolled their eyes as Natasha spat back “This is no laughing mode Mercury this is serious”

“So is my abilities. Ultron can try but he’ll be reduced to liquid” Mercury said as Natasha just rolled her eyes as Bruce talked “Yes Ultron wants or need Mercury body but he knows he can’t it without more power….He’s giving to evolve.”

“How?” Fury replied as he looked at Bruce “Has anyone been in contact with Cho?”

“It's beautiful. The Vibranium atoms aren't just compatible with the tissue cells, they're binding them. And SHIELD never even thought--“ 

“The most versatile substance on the planet and they used it to make a Frisbee. Typical of humans, they scratch the surface and never think to look within.”

“Although it’s not foolproof. It’s somewhat similar to Mercury body…” Ultron kept his gaze at the body that was being formed in the cradle. He then put a stone in the body forhead “It might be better” Ultron grinned

The team talks more as they decided to split up, Tony would go to nexus, Bruce would be dropped off in the tower meanwhile Clint,Steve, Natasha and Mercury would go to Ultron 

…

Meanwhile Thor was in the hot spring bath as he was seeing his vision again 

He was learning these magnificent stones that had unparalleled powers. He saw where each stone was in their vessels 

And it shocked him. Where one stone was. It was here on earth but that didn’t shock him as the one who was bearing it was one of his teammates.

Mercury made a sonic boom as he entered Seoul and flew across the sky. His eyes kept searching as he the building that was holding Cho and crashed through the roof to see her with a wound on the side of her chest 

“Dr.Cho” he said as he grabbed a clot on top of a container and put it on her wound. 

“He's uploading himself into the body.”

“Yeah I could probably tell by this” he said as he gestured to her dead lab crew 

“The real power is inside the Cradle. The gem, its power is uncontainable. You can't just blow it up. You have to get the Cradle to Stark.”

“Oh believe me…it’s a power that no one can handle…” Mercury said the last part with a barley audible voice 

Mercury pressed his ear to over the Quinjet’s comms “Did you guys copy that?”

“We did.I got a private jet taking off, across town, no manifest. That could be him.” Natasha said as she was in the co pilot beside Clint and Steve in the back wearing his suit and shield 

Clint noticing a truck heading across a bridge “There. It's a truck from the lab. Right above you, Cap. On the loop by the bridge. It's them. I got three with the Cradle, one in the cab. I could take out the driver.”

“Don’t. It’s power could take out this whole city if it’s somehow destabilized. Get Steve to draw out Ultron, I’ll bring Cho to a nearby hospital once I’m done I’ll join you guys” Mercury commanded as Steve jumps onto the roof of the truck

“No, no, no, no, no. Leave me alone!”Ultron blasts the truck door with his red lasers as Steve tries to enter 

“Well, he's definitely unhappy! I'm gonna try and keep him that way.”

“You're not a match for him, Cap. Try to hold him off till Mercury gets here” Clint states as Steve just makes a dumbfounded face 

“Thanks for the advice Barton” Steve tries to climb back onto the truck but Ultron sees this and blast him back onto a car. But he grabs onto a nearby truck side window and uses it as he jumps on top of the truck that carry’s the cradle 

“You know what's in that Cradle? The power to make real change, and that terrifies you.” Ultron says as he flys in front of Steve 

I wouldn't call it a comfort.” Steve tries to fight with Ultron as he uses his shield to annoy him 

“Stop it!” Steve’s shield gets caught in his chest, and he smacks it away and fires at Steve.

The shield was sent to the ground as Steve was blasted but still was holding on as he found his way up again and fought Ultron 

Clint dropped Natasha off the jet with a bike as she sped through traffic and grabbed Steve shield. She sped up and threw it to Steve who was being choked by Ultron on the edge of the truck 

He grabbed it and smacked his arm out of the way as he fell on the truck and raised his arm as a part of the ground came up and stopped Natasha 

Seconds pass by as she was back near Ultron as she saw Steve and fighting again as he was machine gun from the jet. Ultron only looked at it as Ultron bots came out of the truck and started to chase it.

Ultron was sent back as he levitated and rushed at Steve as he countered it and pushed him and himself into a train

Natasha took this chance to enter it as Ultron and the bots were distracted. But not for long.

As the bots went under it and started to lift it off. They were in the air as Clint was behind it and waited for Nat to deliver the box 

Mercury sonic boom was heard as he was getting nearer and as Ultron looked to the side. He saw the package and then looked back at the twins 

“Sorry. I have bigger fish to handle” he said that last part as he shot a laser beam in which wand and pietro dogged 

He flew out as he he was headed toward the package 

“Clint I’m coming to you” he said through the comms “No! Go help Steve we got this” Natasha said as Clint was gonna reject it but Steve did say a runaway train was about to go off its rails 

“Alright you better not be missing when I’m stopping this train with my bare hands” Mercury said through the comms as Natasha chuckled a bit 

He saw Ultron headed towards him as they both flew past each other with glares as Mercury sent a golden beam in which Ultron countered it with a red one 

They collided as it let out a luminous sight and flew in different directions.

Mercury flew in the front as he saw it going off rails. He then saw a blue blurr but then saw a teenager or a man as he saved some citizens 

He was levitating in front of it as he dropped down and logged his feet in the ground as he summoned almost all of his cosmic energy into his hands and some into his feet 

The train was slowing down but not enough, Mercury was yelling as his feet was making noticeable trials in the ground but that’s when he saw red wisp of energy  going in front of the wheels and making it stop 

With the combined effort of Mercury and Wanda they stopped it before it could go to deeper into the flee market. Pietro also helped out as he saved some citizens from getting run over.

Steve, Wanda and pietro helped everyone get off as they ran towards the front of the car and saw Mercury breathing heavily with chuckling a bit. Steve smiled as so did the twins 

“Way to go old man” Steve said as breathe out “Old? I’m like….this time I’m like what? 1500 year olds. That's young for my race” Mercury spat back as Steve laughed a bit 

“I'm fine. I just need to take a minute.” Pietro said as they both looked to the side to see him clutching his stomach 

“I'm very tempted not to give you one.”

“The Cradle, did you get it?” Wanda said as she took Steve attention away from her brother 

“Stark will take care of it.”

“No, he won't.” She shook her head 

“You don't know what you're talking about, Stark's not crazy.” Steve steadily said as he trusted his teammate and friend 

She scoffed “He will do anything to make things right.”

“Stark, come in. Stark. Anyone on comms?” He tried but no one was responding 

“Ultron can't tell the difference between saving the world and destroying it. Where do you think he gets that?” She said as she kept pushing 

“Yeah I’m kinda agreeing with the beautiful one here” Mercury said as he winked at her and she scoffed 

“Remember us?” She said with hopefulness 

“Yep. Last time I saw you guys were….” Mercury looked down as he bit his lip “I’m sorry guys…I had to leave-“ 

Wanda put her hands on his mouth as she made him shut up “We know. Well now we know why you left. But it’s okay as long we have each other right?” She said looking into his blue eyes 

“Each other?”

“I…I kinda had a crush on you when you helped us…i still do” she said the last part in. Whisper voice but Mercury chuckled as he caught it 

“What about me?” Pietro said as he ruined the moment and got elbowed in the chest by her sister 

“We could have the reunion when we finish but right now let’s go” 

They all started to turn but Mercury spoke up 

They all looked at him confused as he put both hands the train and looked behind “What’s your favorite color my witchy?” 

“Witchy?”

“It’s a nickname I just gave you, there’s still some more I have come up with” she raised her eyebrows “Am I ever going to hear them?”

“Only if you stick by me” he grinned as she shook her head but deep down she was truly happy 

“Orange or red dosent matter” he hummed as he focused on his hands as the train disappeared and instead red with a little bit of orange color petals replaced it 

“There let’s go. I just helped these guys” Mercury said as Steve shook his head at how he left it messy but it was better than the train being there

They all left with Wanda picking one up and smelling it. Surprisedly it smelled and felt real.

…

Steve, Mercury and the twins show up at the lab and see Steve and Bruce near the cradle

“I'm gonna say this once.” Steve walked up 

“How about "nonce"?”

“Shut it down!”

“Nope, not gonna happen.” Tony kept his stand 

“You don't know what you're doing.”  Bruce walked to their line of sight “And you do? She's not in your head?”

“I know you're angry.” She said in her accent 

“Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade.” Bruce said as  Mercury unknowingly glared at Bruce. Steve chipped in “Banner, after everything that's happened--“

“That's nothing compared to what's coming!” Tony said as his voice started to rise 

“You don't know what's in there!” Wanda  spoke to tony as he glared at her 

“This isn't a game--“

“The creature--“ 

Pietro uses his speed to destroy the lab equipment “No, no. Go on. You were saying?” Pietro smirked as he walked off and stopped on a glass floor.

Soon the world slowed down for pietro as he saw a bullet coming up and entering his view 

“Pietro!” Wanda said, she saw her brother falling down with Clint foot on top of his chest 

“What? You didn’t see that coming?”Clint smirked

“I'm rerouting the upload.” Tony said as Wanda was about to stop him but she got grabbed by Bruce. Mercury was going to help but he notice Steve and tony having a little fight as Steve was blasted back 

“Go ahead, piss me off.” After some fighting, Thor enters and hits the cradle with his hammer, sending a powerful bolt of lightning through it that brings the body to life “Wait!” they all look in shock at the new entity the first person he sees is Mercury

Mercury looked at the naked red synthetic robot that was somewhat similar to him but not at the same time.

Their bodies and abilities were vastly different as their creators but the only thing that was the same was that they were both synthetic, but clearly Mercury was better 

Vision  launched at him but Mercury casted an illusion as vision passed through one of Mercury illusion body as vision goes through him and at a window, but he catches himself right before hitting it. 

“I'm sorry, that was...odd.” He turns to Mercury  “Thank you.”

“Thor, you helped create this?”

“I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at its center is that.” he points to the gem inside Vision's head

“What, the gem?” Bruce said as he brought the topic 

“It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities and that” Mercury  points to the mind stone “is the  4th strongest stone” 

Every person looks at him as thor looked at him intensely  

“You know of it?” Tony asked 

“Mind,Stone,reality,space, time and Soul, each one controls an essential aspect of existence” Mercury said as he closed his eyes and everyone stared at him as a golden ball came out of his chest 

It floated there as it started to lose its color reveling a small orange glowing stone 

“Soul stone…my vision was right” Thor said as he looked at it 

“Wait if it’s capability is unparalleled then why not use this stone to defeat Ultron” Bruce stated 

“While this may be the strongest stone it dosent work that way, this stone could potentially devour all souls in one galaxy with just a single thought. But there’s a drawback it dosent work on synthetic or unliving organisms” Mercury explained as they gulped and looked at it floating above Mercury palm 

“How did you get it?” Clint asked as Mercury puffed out air through his mouth 

“I don’t want to talk about it….” Mercury said as he closed his eyes and bit his lip.

“You lost someone you loved” Thor blurted out as Everyone looked at Mercury 

“Although it’s powerful stone….it came at a great cost that… I didn’t want….” A single tear escaped from his eyes 

“A soul….For a…Soul” 

Mercury couldn’t take it as the soul stone went back into his golden ball and into his chest 

“I don’t get it” Bruce asked as everyone glared at him “To get that stone…you had to lose someone you dearly loved, you had to sacrifice someone You love” 

“An ever lasting exchange”

Thor said as everyone looked at Mercury again, they felt horrible for their teammate as that must’ve been a tough moment 

“I didn’t want it!…” he said as he crushed  a metal desk that was beside him “But she insisted….she lied to me….She trusted me with…with this…God for saken responsibility!” He raised his voice As the whole room changed to a scene 

They saw a person on top of a high mountain and looked down to see a women who had human features on the hard floor, with no light in her eyes and her limbs twisted in wrong ways as they heard screaming 

They then heard a loud boom as the scene changed to Mercury in a body of water and the soul stone in his hands….

They saw him using every ability, his eye beams started to dig deep into the ground as he used all his strength to make craters around the planet.

“I didn’t…ask for this!” The illusion ended as they were back in the lab room with Vision. “These stones may be all powerful. But their a curse. Whoever seeks them will just lose everything…” Mercury looked at vision as his body was now covered

Wanda walked over to his side and held his hand as he just shut his eyes and just let it be as he needed someone’s warmth 

“So these stones can control our life’s?” Bruce asked as Tony listen carefully 

“Yes. And if anyone gets a hold of all 6 they can do anything they want” Mercury  laid a bombshell of a news to the team as they looked lost 

“Then why would you bring it to...” steve brought the topic back to earth 

“Because Stark is right.”

“Oh, it's definitely the end times.”

“The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron.” Thor said as Vision chipped in “Not alone.Sorry Mercury. But even you can’t fight an army of a million”

“Why does your "vision" sound like JARVIS?” Steve questioned 

“We... reconfigured JARVIS' matrix to create something new.” Tony explained as Steve made a face “I think I've had my fill of new. Especially after the talk about these 6 stones”

“You think I'm a child of Ultron?”

“You're not?” Steve asked vision 

“I'm not Ultron. I'm not JARVIS. I am... I am.” Vision was trying to figure himself out but Wanda cut him off “I looked in your head and saw annihilation.”

“Look again.” Vision turned his head at her “Yeah. Her seal of approval means jack to me”

“Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone, and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side...”

“Is it? Are you? On our side?” 

“I don't think it's that simple.”

“Well it better get real simple real soon.”

“I am on the side of life. Ultron isn't, he will end it all.” 

“What's he waiting for?”

“You.” Vision said turning to Mercury 

“Where?”

“Sokovia. He's got Nat there too.” Clint said as he realize it 

“If we're wrong about you, if you're the monster that Ultron made you to be..”

“What will you do?” he looks around at them all “Then we’ll kill you” Mercury  blurted out what everyone was thinking not hiding the fact  

“I’m not letting that stone fall onto the wrong hands” vision just stared at Mercury and kept thinking 

“I don't want to kill Ultron. He's unique, and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over the earth, so he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net, we have to act now. And not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are, and not what you intended. So there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go.” 

Vision  holds up Thor's hammer as everyone stares in shock. Wanda looks confuse as Mercury just chuckles a bit as Wanda smiled at him for his mood getting better.Thor takes it, Vision walks off.

“Right.” pats Stark on the shoulder as the mood becomes awkward “Well done.”

“Three minutes. Get what you need.” Steve turns to everyone and says it as Thor went away and sulked….
