Team RWBY plus Copper are walking through the streets of Vale. An old man puts up a banner that says "Welcome To Vale!" Everyone stops and they look up to the banner.
Weiss:"The Vytal Festival! Oh this is absolutely wonderful!"
Ruby:"I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much Weiss. It's kinda weirding me out..."
Copper leans over to Blake.
Copper:*Whispers.* "She's not the only one weirded out."
Blake chuckles.
Weiss turns and looks to Ruby.
Weiss:"How could you 'not' smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances, parades, a tournament! Oh the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking."
The group keeps moving.
Yang:*Sighs.* "You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring."
Weiss:"Quiet you."
A boat horn is sounded off in the distance and the group stops and looks out to the docks.
Yang:"Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?"
Ruby pinches her nose.
Ruby:"Ugh, they smell like fish."
Weiss:"I've heard that students from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today."
Copper:"That sounds awesome."
Weiss turns to the group.
Weiss:"And as a representative of Beacon I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom."
The group keeps moving.
Blake:"She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament."
Weiss:"Ah! You can't prove that!"
Ruby looks to the side.
Ruby:"Woah."
The group looks to where Ruby is looking and they see a store blocked off by police tape.
The group heads over.
Ruby:"What happened here?"
Detective 1:"Robbery. Second Dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle."
Yang:"That's terrible."
Detective 2:"They left all the money again."
Ruby:"Huh?"
Detective 1:"Yeah, just doesn't make a lick o' sense. Who needs that much Dust?"
Detective 2:"I dunno, ya know what I mean?"
Detective 1:"You thinking th euh, White Fang?"
Detective 2:"Ya I'm thinking we don't get paid enough."
Weiss crosses her arms.
Weiss:"Hmph. The White Fang. What an awful bunch of degenerates."
Copper:"¡¿Qué?!"
Copper's tail sways in annoyance behind him.
Blake:"What's your problem?"
Weiss turns to Blake.
Weiss:"My problem? I simply don't care for the criminally insane."
Blake:"The White Fang is hardly a bunch of psychopaths."
Copper:"Yeah, they're a collection of misguided faunus."
Weiss looks to Copper.
Weiss:"Misguided?! They want to wipe humanity off the face of the planet!"
Blake:"So then they're 'very' misguided. Either way, it doesn't explain why they would rob a Dust shop in the middle of downtown Vale."
Ruby:"Hmm. Blake's got a point. Besides, the police never caught that Torchwick guy I ran into a few months ago... Maybe it was him."
Copper:"Hopefully it was."
Weiss:"That still doesn't change the fact that the White Fang are a bunch of scum."
Copper's right eye starts to twitch and his tail sways behind him.
Weiss:"Those faunus only know how to lie, cheat, and steal."
Yang:"That's not necessarily true."
Sailor 1:"Hey! Stop that faunus!"
The group runs over to the docks and they see a monkey faunus running from two sailors on a ship. Then he jumps on the edge of the ship.
Sun:"Thanks for the ride, guys! Hehe."
He jumps off the ship and lands on the wooden docks, he runs for a few meters then jumps and hangs by his tail from a lamp post.
Sailor 2:"You no-good stow-away!"
Sun starts to eat a banana.
Sun:"Hey! A 'no-good' stow-away would have been caught. I'm a great stow-away."
Copper:"He's got a point."
Ruby and Blake elbow him in the ribs.
One of the detective throws a rock up at sun and he dodges it.
Detective 1:"Hey. Get down from there this instant."
Sun throws a banana peel at his face. Sun flips onto the top of the lamp post and he mischievously laughs.
Sun then jumps over the detectives and continues to run. The detectives give chase and he runs past the group and Sun gives Copper a thumbs up.
Sun continues to run with the detectives chasing him.
Copper:"Wow, that was Asombroso."
Yang:"Well Weiss, you wanted to see the competition and there it goes."
Weis points in the direction Sun went.
Weiss:"Quick! We have to observe him!"
Weiss runs after Sun and the group follows. Weiss turns a corner and she runs into someone and they both fall to the ground.
The group gets around the corner and they stop.
Weiss:"No! He got away!"
Yang:"Uuuhh, Weiss...?"
Yang points to the person that Weiss is on.
Weiss looks then she stands up.
Weiss:"Euh!"
Penny:"Salutations!"
Ruby:"Um... hello."
Copper:"Hello."
Yang:"Are you... okay?"
Penny:"I'm wonderful. Thank you for asking."
The group looks to each other then back to Penny.
Copper:"Do you want to get up?"
Penny thinks about it for a few seconds then nods.
Penny:"Yes."
Penny flips herself up and the group takes a step back.
Penny:"My name is Penny. It's a pleasure to meet you!"
Ruby:"Hi Penny. I'm Ruby."
Weiss:"I'm Weiss."
Blake:"Blake."
Copper:"Copper."
Yang:"Are you sure you didn't hit your head?"
Blake elbows Yang.
Yang:"Oh, I'm Yang."
Penny:"It's a pleasure to meet you!"
Weiss:"You already said that."
Penny thinks for a second.
Penny:"So I did!"
Weiss:"Well, sorry for running into you."
The group turns around and starts to leave.
Ruby:"Take care, friend!"
Copper:"Stay safe, amiga."
The group walks down the street.
Yang:"She was... weird."
Weiss:"Now. Where did that fauns riffraff run off to."
The group stops and they see Penny right in front of them.
Penny:"What did you call me?"
Weiss gets confused on how she got here so fast.
Yang:"Oh, I'm really sorry, I definitely didn't think you heard me."
Penny:"No, not you..."
Penny walks past Yang and goes over to Ruby and Copper.
Penny:"You two!"
Ruby/Copper:"Me?!"
Ruby:"I-I don't know, I-- what I- um, uh--"
Copper:"What's going on?"
Penny:"You both called me 'Friend'. Am I really your friends?"
RUby/Copper:"Ummmmm."
Ruby and Copper look to each other then to the rest of the group. The others are waving their arms No.
Ruby:"Ya, Sure! Why not?"
Copper:"Por supuesto."
The others fall to the ground.
Penny:"Ahahah! Sen-sational!"
Copper:'Take that Henry, I can make friends!'
Penny:"We can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys! Like Copper!"
Cooper:"Uhhhhhhh..."
Weiss gets off the ground and Ruby leans to her.
Ruby:"Ooh, is this what us was like when you met me?"
Weiss:"No, she seems 'far' more coordinated."
Yang:"Soo, what are you doing in Vale?"
Penny:"I'm here to fight in the tournament."
Weiss:"Wait... you're fighting in the tournament?"
Penny salutes.
Penny:"I'm combat ready!"
Weiss:"Forgive me, but you hardly look the part."
Blake:"Says the girl wearing a dress."
Copper snickers.
Weiss:"It's a 'Combat skirt'."
Ruby zooms over to her.
Ruby:"Yeah."
The two low five.
Weiss:"Wait a minute."
Weiss walks over to Penny and she puts her arms on Penny's shoulders.
Weiss:"If you're here for the tournament, does that mean you know that monkey-tailed... rapscallion??"
Cooper growls.
Penny:"The who?"
Weiss holds up a poorly drawn picture of Sun.
Weiss:"The filthy faunus from the boat!"
Blake:"Why do you keep saying that?"
Weiss:"Huh?"
Weiss looks over to Blake and Blake walks up to her.
Blake:"Stop calling him a rapscallion. Stop calling him a degenerate. He's a person!"
Weiss:"Oh, I'm sorry. Would you like me to stop referring to the trashcan as a trashcan, or this lamppost as a lamppost?"
Copper growls and he start walking away.
Ruby:"Copper?"
Yang:"Where ya going?"
Copper:"Anywhere but here! I have to meet up with my team anyway."
Ruby:"Um... Have fun?"
Later
Copper enters a restaurant and he sees his team. He walks over and sits down and slams his head on the table.
Sam:"Um... Hi Copper?"
Henry:"You okay?"
Ecru shallows her food.
Ecru:"What's got you tail in a twist?"
Copper gives a muffled response.
Henry,Sam,Ecru:"What?"
Copper raises his head.
Copper:"Weiss was being a, Perra."
Henry,Sam,Ecru:"Oh."
Sam hands Copper a glass of milk. Copper grabs the milk and downs it.
Copper:"Now, lets get some food."
Later that night
Copper and Sun are talking to each other as they walk through the courtyard of Beacon.
Copper:"I promise you, this Noodle shop is amazing."
Sun then lightly hits Copper and points towards the statue.
Sun:"Isn't that your friend?"
Copper looks ahead and sees Blake, without her bow on. Her black cat ears open to the world.
Copper:"Yeah, it is."
Copper heads over to her and Sun follows him.
Copper:"Blake?"
Blake turns around and sees Copper. She runs over and hugs him and buries her face into his chest.
Copper is confused, but he just hugs her in return and pats her back.
Few days later
Sun, Copper and Blake are at a café, Sun and Blake are drinking some tea and Copper has a glass of milk. Blake takes a deep breath.
Blake:"So." *She looks to Blake.* "You wanna know more about me and Copper."
