[A/N: what do you think about this? Wanted to get into the mind of Hoshi for a bit. Please do share your thoughts and drop me a review and hit the like. Thanks.]

The unnamed team. A place were the misfits are banded up. It doesn't necessarily mean they are bad kids, just that they have their own problems. As as they are not normal kids it's obvious that it has to do with their abilities.

Everything in this place works on privileges obtain from the missions handed out. Even getting a name for your squad is a privilege. The unnamed team is something set aside by the higher ups for each batch that came. Once their training is done and they are proven to have had full control over their powers, they would be granted their name and graduated as a full fledge squad.

That is what I was told when I finally settle here.

Hoshi here. In my usual pants, a blazer over my white inner shirt. You know what? To be frank I try to go with delinquent kind of look, but no matter how hard I try people see me otherwise. They see me to be a gentle kid. It's depressing. Even a handsome face like mine has his own share of problem. I am not a narcissist bear that in mind! Haven't done anything about my hair, left it unkempt as well, also part of the package. Maybe it's how I am calm? For someone who loves the fight I want to appear like so… but why?

So back to the main thing… Got here a long while back. Or rather it's safe to say people like us grew in the organization so we have been here long. Hearing the word organization makes it seem like a shady place and if you are here you can tell it is shady. But can't say no cooperation in this world is free from the dark side.

The unnamed squad tag wasn't like it begun with us. It was done ever since the organization was built. Isolating the problem from the others but that in itself is discrimination. Though I fully understand that we are different from the others. Irregulars I think is the perfect name to give. So all we have to do is strive towards that goal.

Tomorrow is the day for the team evaluation. The days just ran so fast. It been a month since a new college joined us. When I heard the news of having a new comrade, at first I thought he was going to be one of those people who come, join and after seeing our pathetic display of power and reputation he would also mock us and treat us like the others when he found abilities. It has happened a couple of times. But Rinji surprisingly is a good guy. Seeing him, it felt like a guy you could relate to. I like the guy, he's ease to get alone with. And me and Ro like having him around. Previously it felt odd with the ratio of male to female here but with him around it feels okay. He feels like some background character even if he tries to stand out.

About the team evaluation. I'm really not looking forward to it.The big wigs are just going to sit around watch us kids fight amongst ourselves. But the though of it is invigorating. It makes my blood boil. I can't help but draw a crazy smirk.

I really can't wait to get into the arena.

I made my way into my room deciding on resting early. I tend to find it difficult to sleep if I get myself too excite, and excited I am. I ignore the mocking gazes of the other team members as I walk the grounds. Though I could have used the doors t get to my room I find walking there more appealing. Maybe is the warrior spirit that burns within me that makes me find doing thing the old way better.

The room was pretty much standard, but unlike the teams that use up their privileges to fill up their rooms with whatever the weaker squad have their simple like mine.

I fall on the bed. I know sleep would not come soon looking at the way my head is beating but I decide on shutting my eyes and immerse myself I the darkness oping to drift.

Rinji seems so different from yesterday. Why is he moving like that. I don't know much about the swords or any other weapon apart from my fists, but though he looks clumsy he's somewhat keeping up. He looks much stronger than the day before.

When the day broke I was up and ready. Washing up and getting dress with the style I always do. This time I got an ash shit over a blue long sleeved t-shirt, dark pants. Do I look like a delinquent now? Maybe I should get myself some earrings and chain, to make me look more like it.

I got out to get breakfast. Teams are already out with their matching uniforms and team tags. We said we'd gather at the canteen for breakfast and then we move towards the arena.

Getting there the Captain and Inyx ware already there beginning their meal. The three girl in our squad are beautiful. I'm not one to go into details but take my world for it. Today the Captain is in a tight dark long sleeve off shoulder one piece—that didn't show cleavage—that just got below her butt, and wearing a short dark jeans. Even sitting you could tell she is shapely and her well stacked at the top for a lady a step away from being called an adult. She has her charm with her hair tied in a pony tail. Her katana tied to her waist.

Inyx is a slow eater. It's more like she's sleep eating. Seeing her just makes me feel sad. She is in a wine colored one piece fit and flare. Her above shoulder hair had been done again by the Captain.

After grabbing a tray I walk over to the table and sit. I got a whole amount of protein. Milk, eggs, bacon, a couple of thin bread slices.

Not long after Shinosaki joined us. I don't get why even indoors she has her hat on. A hand held her tray, she was a big eater for her small frame but today she didn't have much on her tray. Looks like she is a little tensed. And the other hand in the pocket of her jacket. She wore a short pleated skirt, a white crop top for the inner.

Ro, looked like a grade schooler coming in with his denim shorts and lighter shirt, and a simple open robe over his shoulder.

The only one absent was Rinji.

"Where is he?"

"He said he would delay a bit so we should head on in without him, he'll meet us there. He assured he'll make it on time…" Ro answered.

"Hey Cap, sure about letting him join in? He doesn't hav to you know, he's only just joined us."

"It was his decision." Captain replied Shinosaki.

"What's happening then? Has the match ups been done?"

"The earlier teams have already begun their battles. We can either go watch them."

"The challenge by 'The Bravers' has been issued"

"Ozaki's squad…"

"They too should be in the arena. They decided to accept the challenge of another squad. I think it's best we go to watched them and prepare countermeasures for how when deal with them." Said the captain.

Right after breakfast we join the spectators to observe Ozaki's squad. They were the team with dark long sleeve shirts and parts with red trims. Both men and ladies wore the same. They look well organized. Even their priest wore the same with the same color scheme for her robe.

Side note among those who handle the rear, priest, mages, and long range attackers. Priest can give our buff much like the mages but they call them blessings. There are many types of priest, and they modes of using their powers, on such is holy magic. Even the exorcist fall under their criteria.

The opponents also had the some sense of togetherness with their outfits. I think it was the beret, or the green trims in their multicolored dressed. They still looked off through.

The arena was no more than a modernized Colosseum. Below in the arena, was meant to simulate terrains and situations for the competitors. A combination of magic and tech. It looked and felt real to the touch.

And the environment they stood in was a ruin within a forest, which they had to take themselves out. They would need to use ingenuity and skill to fight their enemies.

But the other team went head-on and so Ozaki's squad obliged, pairing off with them. We watched the match in silence… Spells, buff and attacks flew out… But the outcome was more than obvious.

About the match. It was an overwhelming victory. The opponent were a team whose been recently rising, thinking they could show off by their strength proving they were well… stronger than the top squads. I got to admit they were good but they were way out of their league. A humble brag is good, but not our right challenger the stronger teams just to flaunt.

But I understand them. The passion and thrill of a fight.

Once the match was done and the simulation was undone. Ozaki looked in our direction and smiled.

Guess he too is looking forward to our match… Only some few hours away. With many teams around it would take some time for our turn.

The lucky thing is that we have only this one much. Teams on the lower end have a single match to graded on. We are to be fighting for our squad not to be disbanded even if we do lose to them. Being together is good but once we assimilate into the other group we would be mocked and treated even more less. And also fighting to keep the captain with us.

Higher ranked on the other hand could fight more squad or turn down challenges but as long as they had one bout in the evaluation it was good to prove they still rank high and are still better.

We decided to do our own thing until it was our turn. I sat to watch the other matches with Ro and Shinosaki who was hardly paying attention whiles the captain and Inyx went off somewhere…
