The prompt is: A lone survivor of their ship's crew trying to get back to a friendly port, while avoiding their terrible pursuer.

A ship belonging to the marquis pagoda crashed into a small island away from the kingdom's mainland. The ship met its fate after a clash with a rebel force. The rebel forces attack the ship because marquis pagoda gets a hold of important information that may foil the rebel force plan. Fortunately, or unfortunately. A sudden storm ensues, making the enemy ship retreat. But the damage was already done. Marquis pagoda ship couldn't avoid the sudden storm and got shipwrecked on a small island. The marquis itself barely survive. But it would not be long until he met his own end. Besides the dying marquis, a young carpenter sits and tries his best to save the marquis. He is able to survive thanks to the marquis protecting him. The young carpenter sadly could do nothing to save the marquis. Knowing his end is near, the marquis entrusts something to the young carpenter.

"Liam, I owe your father when he is still alive. Now, I am able to pay him back by saving." Said the marquis.

"Lord Marquis, this lowly one doesn't deserve to be saved by the lord. The lord should not risk his life to save this lowly one." Said the young carpenter, Liam.

Liam is crying while trying his best to treat the marquis wound.

"Silly boy... you are still young, and your life is worth more than this old man. You better find a way back to the mainland. Take this plaque with you. This is a sign that you are one of my people. Bring this letter to the king, and you will not be wronged. Be careful of the rebel force on your way back to the capital. It is better to arrive in the capital port than in any other port. Who knows how many rebel people are in there. In the capital, the rebel force will not dare to act." The marquis then cough really hard, and it spews a few drops of blood.

"Remember Liam, in the sea, everything could happen. Don't ever let your guard down."

The marquis exhales his last. Liam couldn't do anything to save the marquis. He takes the plaque and the letter from the marquis's hand and stands firm. Liam may be young, but he's also clever, and he knows what exactly to do.

Liam search for another survivor around the shipwreck. But find no sign of life. All he sees is what remains of his crewmate, a corpse. Seeing the tragic end, he fell into his knee in sorrow and could not stop crying. The uncle who sings a song to cheer the people on board is gone. The sailor that shares a drink with him is gone. The senior carpenter who taught him how to take care of the ship is also gone. Everyone is gone; the boy is devastated. This is the first time he saw death in person in his entire life. But even so, the boy, Liam, still has a purpose. He wipes his tear and searches for a thing he could use to go into the capital city.

The emergency rowboat is still intact. But the problem is, the rowboat has no sail. Rowing the boat in the sea is out of the question. So, with his carpenter skill, he tore a wood from a shipwreck and created a mast for the tiny rowboat. He checked the sturdiness when the mast was installed on the rowboat before adding the spreader. After ensuring the newly installed mast is secure enough, he takes another piece of wood and turns it into the spreader. He then creates a shroud with a rope he finds. he then takes the shipwreck sailcloth, cuts it neatly, and installs it on the rowboat mast.

The small rowboat turns into a small sailing boat. Liam is ready to embark on a journey onto the sea. But before that, he searched for an intact barrel that carried a supply like food and water. Most of the barrel is either floating in the sea or getting destroyed into pieces. But there is still a handful of barrels full of supply that is still intact. Even so, he was only able to take two-barrel with him, considering the size of the boat. After that, he checks the navigator's body searching for a compass.

Liam then pushes the small boat onto the sea. He looks behind and sees all the corpses lying around. Liam wants to give them a proper burial before embarking on his journey. But he has to move in a hurry—the rebel forces are currently searching for a marquess pagoda ship. Even if the ship has already become wreckage, they will investigate it. So, reluctantly, Liam pushed the boat into the sea and began embarking on his lonely journey.

An hour after, Liam had set sail away from the small island. Three big warships dropped an anchor near the small island. Nine small rowboats with the shoulder are put into the sea and get close to the island. This warship belongs to the rebel forces that attack the marquess ship. When they see a shipwreck that has similarities with the marquess ship, The captain of the small armada decides to drop the anchor and scout the wreckage. And sure enough, the shipwreck belongs to the marquess pagoda. The captain commands his crew to scout the wreckage and the whole island to see if there is any survivor.

"Report to captain, there aren't any survivors found."

"Have you checked every nook and cranny?... What about the ship, is there anything you could find there?." Ask the captain.

"Nothing was found in the ship, however..."

"Speak, don't waste time!" Said the captain grumpily.

"Someone cut the ship sailcloth, and there's a sign that a small rowboat is being moved to the sea."

The captain then kicks one of the nearby corpses and yells in anger.

"Someone has to survive and escape under our nose!!... quick get back to the ship. That bastard must carry the information that old fart obtain."

All the rebel forces then moved back to their ship and began pursuing Liam.

Meanwhile, Liam leisurely lay in his small sailing boat, looking at the sky. He occasionally looks at his compass to ensure he is still in the right direction. The blue sky gives him a sense of peace in mind. He is humming sea shanties to calm his mind. But that sea shanties only become a reminder of his crewmate. Liam then began crying again.

"Why I am the only one who survived!!." He yells at sea.

He should not have survived. That's what he thought. after a while, he calmed down and looked at the plaque Lord Marquess gave him. Any guilt he has then become a resolve. He can't die just yet, not until he successfully sends the letter to the king.

As he calmed down again, he saw something on the horizon. He began panicking and searching for a telescope. But as he searched it in every nook and cranny. He realized he had forgotten to bring one. Not knowing if what he see is friend or foe.  He didn't want to take a risk and began steering the boat away from it. He even took the row and began rowing to make the boat move faster. Once it disappeared, he reached for his compass and corrected the boat's course of direction.

Time flew fast; the sun began setting. Liam is searching for something to eat in the barrel. He finds a hard bread and then starts eating it. The bread is not too tasty, but enough to fill his stomach. Liam dares not to overeat. He didn't know how many days he would be in the sea. So he rather is starving and eating less to save food. When night comes, he prepares himself to sleep. Worry, he might be drifting far away when sleeping. He put down the sail and dropped the anchor. After that, he closes his eyes without worry and sleeps.

As the boy slept through the night, a rain cloud drew closer to where his tiny sailboat was. The wind blows faster and faster by the minute, and the wave becomes while and shakes the tiny sailboat. Then suddenly, a loud thunderous sound was heard and shook the atmosphere. That loud sound made Liam woke in a panic. At the same time, a big rain downpour falls from the sky. Liam realizes his situation. He quickly set the sail up and tried to lift the anchor, only to discover that some sort of bite has severely cut the anchor rope.

A shark, that's what comes to Liam's mind when he sees the rope being cut.

"This is a disaster..."

Liam falls into despair... but then, the marquee's plaque falls from his clothing, and he sees the emblems of the marquess pagoda.

"No... this is not time to die."

He takes the plaque and stuffs it back into his clothes. He steers the tiny sailboat with a new resolve and prepares for the worst. As the storm ensues, the tide becomes uncontrollable. Liam tries his best to ensure the locks do not overturn his sailboat.

When Liam is able to escape the storm, it is already dawn. Liam is tired and lies down to take a rest. After enough rest, he looked at his compass again and began to correct the sailboat course.

Unfortunately, Liam did not notice three big warships lurking on the horizon. These three warships belong to the rebel force.

A lookout in the crow's nest of the ship spotted Liam's tiny sailboat.

"THERE IS SOMETHING OUT IN THE SEA!!." The lookout shouted.

Hearing the shout, the captain quickly storms out of his room.

"In which direction?!..." The captain asks.

"At nine o'clock sir!!."

The captain then looks in that direction with his telescope. He then saw a tiny sailboat with a young boy in it.

"Change course and up the speed!! approach that tiny boat!!." Said the captain.

Liam didn't notice the three big warships approaching in his direction. Not after the three warships were already close by that he see the three warships. There was nothing much Liam could do, and his tiny boat couldn't possibly outspeed the large warship. Eventually, the rebel force captured Liam. They suspected Liam as one of the Marquess Pagoda people who survived. They handcuff Liam and put him in a room.  When Liam is dragged into the room, he purposely drops the letter Marquess Pagoda gave him and kicked it under the table. He did it so swiftly that no one noticed it.

Liam's body is getting checked to search for an item in the room. They found the marquess plaque and confirmed their suspicion. After that, Liam was tortured and interrogated until nightfall. They didn't even give Liam food. In the night, Liam tries his best to escape. He looks around the room, searching for something that might help him. He then saw an iron wire laying not far from him. He reaches for the iron wire and uses it to lockpick his handcuff.

He then takes the Letter he kicks earlier. As he is stripped naked, there is no place for him to place the letter, so he puts it on under the barrel. He then looks out through the gap in the wood to see if someone is guarding the place. And sure enough, there was someone dressed up in a standard kingdom navy uniform. The door is not getting locked, as it could only be locked from the inside. It seems like this warship didn't have a prison.

Liam saw a broken barrel in the corner of the room. He takes a plank from the broken barrel, trying to use it as a weapon. Slowly, he opened the door when the guard wasn't looking and then hit the guard in the back of his head. He then drags the guard's body and strips him naked. He wears the guard uniform and takes his weapon, a flintlock axe rifle. After that, he sneaks outside and scouts his surrounding. Upon realizing there's only a small number of people staying guard. Liam knows he is in luck. He swiftly took the other guard and tied them to the ship mast.

After that, he tries searching for a rowboat to steal. But he suddenly had a risky idea, but Liam is willing to try it. His idea is to take over the ship instead of stealing a rowboat. Liam then formulated a plan. First, take care of the sleeping crew without them noticing anything. Second, incapacitate the captain. Third, somehow lose the other two ships. All of this is easiest said than done.

Liam opted to try and search for something he could use. With sheer luck, he found a poisonous plant that paralyzed people if it was burned. He uses that plan to paralyze the sleeping crewmate and make sure they don't wake up anytime soon.  The captain's room still lit up, indicating he was still awake. Liam peak into the captain's room and see he is working with something on his desk. Liam takes a deep breath before kicking the door open.

"What... who... who are you!!... wait, you are the boy we capture this morning!!." Said the captain.

Liam aims the flintlock gun at the captain.

"Hands in the air..." Said Liam.

The captain complies and raises his hand. He then knocks the captain down and ties him in his chair.

Now, the only problem is the other two ships. Liam decided to risk it and set sail with the maximum ship. He lifts back the anchor and opens the sail. The ship then moves fast with maximum speed. The other two ships could not follow Liam cause their anchor was still at the bottom of the ocean. After that, Liam's journey to the capital city is smooth sailing.

When Liam arrives in the capital port, the harbor guard is greeted by his ship. The guard is questioning Liam as to why he is sailing with a warship. They suspect Liam as a pirate. Luckily, the rebel forces didn't throw Marquess Pagoda's plaque. Liam didn't know why they didn't throw it. Maybe they want to use it for their own benefit?.

Liam shows the marquess plaque to the guard's shoulder and explains his situation. Once the guard knows that, this lone boy manages to capture a rebel force warship on his own. They are doubtful as they should be. But once they confirmed the people on board were really the rebel force, the guard reluctantly convinced. They then detain all the rebel forces.

After all of that is done, Liam requests to meet The King. The official who handles the case is a bit reluctant at first. But once he found out, Liam brought Marquess Pagoda Letter with him, and he immediately agreed.

And so, Liam manages to send the letter to The King.
